There has been significantly change in the methods and process of housekeeping servces. This
has made it easy to achieve goals and objectives. Mostly, hospitality sector is benefited from it. It
is because of development of opera system. It has been highly used in housekeeping services. It
has allowed many facilities such as check in and out time, arrivals, departures, etc. it also helps
in giving accurate forecast of bookings that has been confirmed. The most feature it contains is
proper and effective allocation of rooms. This has useful in using the full efficiency of hotel so
that high revenue can be generated. In addition to this, it provides reports such as discrepancy
and status of rooms, front office check, etc. this has helped in increasing efficiency of staff as
well as hospitality sector. Opera system also gives different reports such as status change, group
check, etc. It has integrated overall housekeeping operations that have improved the service
quality as well as efficiency of employees. Moreover, it has enabled hospitality sector to
integrate its operations so that productivity can be enhanced (Arts, van der Wal and Adams,
2015). However, there are many challenges that have occurred while implementing the opera

This research will help in identifying the way opera system has transformed various
housekeeping operations. It will help hotels to implement tools and techniques so that
productivity can be effectually enhanced. Along with this, research will give some
recommendations on how efficiency can be maintained.

elements that must be considered by the business (Blackwell, Lauricella and Wartella, 2014) It
will help in achieving the set goals and objectives. These are as follows:
Cost – It is the most important element in conducting research. It is because; it provides essential
resources that are needed. Therefore, business must identify the overall cost of research. It will
be easy for them to perform all tasks in a smooth way. Besides this, it will provide quality in
collecting data and analysing it. For this, the estimated cost needed will be 250 Euros.
Risk – Business must identify the possibilities of risk by doing risk assessment. It is because;
risk can highly impact the effectiveness of functions that are performed. The elements of risk

Scope- There are certain aim and objectives that are included in research. Thus, it is necessary to
achieve those so that effective outcomes can be effectually obtained. Hotels can develop several
strategies in order to grow and develop. This can be done by targeting new markets so that more
people can be attracted (Hermsen, Frost and Kerkhof, 2016) Moreover, research will help in
giving recommendations on how to improve overall efficiency and productivity of hotels.
Time- This is also a crucial element in which research has to be completed in specific time
frame. This can be done by developing schedule for each activity. It will be beneficial to attain
the goals and objectives in given time period.
Quality - It is another important element through which results can be achieved in hotels. This
element is highly considered in collecting primary data because fresh and relevant information is

required in order to attain goals. Collecting more qualitative data will help in getting specific
outcomes (Ball, Ladel and Siller, 2018).
Resource – Along with the cost, several resources are required to conduct research. These
resources are used in different areas according to their features. For this present research primary
and secondary research data and information is required. This will help hotels to increase
efficiency of the operations so that targets can be effectually attained.

From the above research it can be concluded that hotels can implement different tools and
techniques within organisation. These are as follows :-
 Firstly, hospitality sector can implement opera system in housekeeping services
and provide training to employee before implementing it. It will help in making
them aware and also how to use tools to improve their productivity. It will help in
creating an effective organisational culture.
 Hospitality sector should develop policies and laws regarding use of opera
system. This will help in defining boundaries. Also, If any employee break that
rule then legal action can be taken against it.
 Management must conduct seminars and workshops about advancement in opera
system. It will help employee to gain knowledge.
 A proper communication channels must be implemented so that it will help
employees and management in effective communication. It will provide ease in
decision making process.

P7 Reflect on the value of undertaking the research to meet stated objectives and own learning
and performance
The research conducted by me gave me specific results. I was able to achieve my goals
and objectives. Also, I analysed that method used by me was accurate. By developing research
methodologies I was able to proceed in a systematic way. It helped me to gain knowledge on
how technology has been implemented in hotels. But it took me a lot of time to conduct research.
This is because I was lacking some research skills and abilities. So I need to enhance those skills
that will help me in the future. I came to a conclusion that all member of team performed their
role. The roles were assigned by me according to their skills. They properly communicated with
each other. This is because there was a proper communication channel established. This resulted

in attaining goal and objectives in specific time. Moreover, they helped and guided each other in
case of need.
CONCLUSION:
It is concluded from this report that due to opera system hospitality sector is able to
expand and grow in recent times. It has provided a platform to them to enter in new markets.
Besides this, there has been high improvements in product quality. Moreover, organisation has
reduced each product cost. They have also diversified product portfolio by using technologies.
Apart from this , hospitality sector can survive for long term in competitive market if there is
consistency in using opera system. Small businesses are taken the major advantage of it. They
are able to provide products and services in different markets. Also, they are highly contributing
in GDP of country. It has integrated overall hospitality sector operations that have improved the
service quality as well as efficiency of employees. However, there are many challenges that have
occurred while implementing the opera system.
