Impact of Digital Technology on Small Business: A Case Study

This research proposal investigates the impact of digital technology on small business operations, specifically focusing on Apple Guest House. The study aims to understand the concept of digital technology in small businesses, identify key factors influencing operations and functions, and explore the interrelation between digital technology and business processes. The methodology includes a descriptive research design with an interpretivism philosophy, utilizing a deductive approach and a formative research strategy. Data will be analyzed using a quantitative method through questionnaires, with primary data collected directly and secondary data from various sources. A simple random sampling method will be used, with a sample size of 20 employees. The research also outlines a detailed action plan spanning 16 weeks, covering literature review, methodology, data collection, analysis, project write-up, and presentation. The study intends to recommend ways to enhance digital technology performance within the case study business.

the help of advance tools and techniques, company able to make their effectiveness with using
creative activities. As per the view of Kandampully, Zhang and Jaakkola, (2017), online file
storage and web-based application consider development in the business in creative manner. In
this consideration, potential also affect in positive and adverse ways that depends on
accomplishment of goals and objectives. It produces systematic work performances that help to
create new system at workplace. In this regard, entrepreneurs main take part to attain
effectiveness. In order to perform different aims and objectives, it can be stated that in different
industries it will be taken to produce results. According to the view of Davies, Donald and Knox-
Hayes, (2017), there are several factors exit in digital technology that assists to meet with desired
aims and objectives. In this way, rapid growth will be developed successfully with several

opportunities and face challenges as well. Fundamentally transforming activities and tasks help
to focus on customer experience and operate models in work environment. As per the point of
Nieves and Diaz-Meneses, (2016), digital technology interrelates with operations and functions
to develop more creative results. In this way, small enterprise able to include internet, mobile
devices and apps that help to compete with different consideration. In this regard, portable

generally consider such as qualitative and quantitative data analysis. From the both
researcher select quantitate method which help to focus on effective consideration that

2015).
Collection of data: Furthermore, there are different types of data collected that help to ascertain
innovative results at workplace. For instance, primary and secondary information that
collected from different sources. In the present research primary data has been collected
from questionnaire that help to attain more creative work performances in the business.
Furthermore, secondary data also collected which consider from books, journals, magazines,
etc. (Baum, 2016).
Sampling: Sampling also consider important tool that help to focus on the desired results which
help to focus on maintain effectiveness at workplace. In the present research, researcher can
choose either simple random sampling or non-random sampling. Researcher main focus on
collect data from simple random sampling that assists to meet with desired results in
systematic manner (Dženopoljac, Janoševic and Bontis, 2016). As results, it will help to
focus on creative innovative functions. Sample size taken by researcher is 20 employees
from Apple Guest House.
