INTRODUCTION:
In recent era digital technology is highly been used in business activities. It helps in
increasing efficiency in business operations. This report will show impact of digital technology
on business activities (Smith, 2015) It will explain how product and services can be developed
by using digital technology. Moreover, it will show how business operations can be diversified in
different areas. Also, what will be the impact of digital technology on core business operations.
For this research the company taken is Sheldon Hotel. It is a small business enterprise that is
operating within UK.

managers. In this several questions was asked to 10 managers regarding use and impact of digital

I have applied the descriptive research design method because it is based on qualitative
data rather than quantitative data. I have used this design because it reflects upon on how digital
technology has improved business efficiency. I have applied random data sampling for collecting
data. This is because it takes less time. I have used positivism approach as it will help in
identifying behaviour of people in research.
The research is conducted by using questionnaire. This has given outcomes regarding
how and where technology has benefited business activities. Moreover,
P7 Consider alternative research methodologies and lessons learnt in view of the outcomes.
The research method applied in conducting this research is making questionnaire and
then asking managers to fill them. With this data gathered only reflects upon factual knowledge.
Therefore, I think that apart from using questionnaire methods interview can be conducted to ask
managers about impact of digital technology on business activities. It is because it will give a
brief and deep knowledge about what are the reasons. I observed from questionnaire effective
data is not gathered. It is because it consists of close ended questions that restricts managers to
give their view briefly. But from interview manager can give their opinions more effectively.
This will help in collecting specific data and information. Also, with this research objectives are
effectively met. The outcomes gathered by conducting interview will show what and where
impact of digital technology is there. Furthermore, I analysed that by having a face to face
interaction with manager their ideas thoughts regarding how further improvements can be done.
Moreover, specific data collected will help in achieving research objectives easily.
I think that secondary data can also be collected to analyse impact of technology on
business. This will help in defining more specific objective. Also, it will helpful in determining

how change in business operation have occurred. Apart from this, it will show a particular sector
that is been benefited by using digital technology. So I consider that a single sector can also be
taken for conducting this research. It may help in analysing overall impact on entire industry.
CONCLUSION:
This research concludes that using of digital technology in business activities have a huge
impact on its efficiency. It is because it helps in proving various benefits such as it creates
growth opportunities to expand business operations. Also, it brings in new tools and techniques
that help in developing products and services. Besides this, it helps in improving product quality.
Employee performance is also enhanced as new roles and duties are assigned to them. Thus, we
can say that overall business efficiency is increased by implementing digital technology in
business.
