Background of the study:
Nowadays technology is advancing at very faster rate and is effecting both the
expectation of sponsors a long with the way in which hospitality industry is conducting the
business. Among many such advancements many trends are leading great improvement in
hospitality industry (Polonsky and Waller, 2014). Generally digital technology includes various
types of electronic equipments and applications that interpret information in the form of numeric
codes. This technology is being used to change the lifestyle of the people and bringing heavy
advancements in the hotel industry (Kerzner, 2013). Due to implication of such technology many
barriers can be easily eradicated that hinders the growth of hospitality industries. Thus, it has
increased the working standards and have brought high level advancements to provide the best
available facilities to guests. This has not only provided guest with benefits but have also helped
hotel staff to make their working easier with such advancement (Trevino and Nelson, 2016).
Thus, this particular project is regarding how implication of digital technology in KIP Hotel,
London have transformed many business oriented activities such as operation, accounting,
marketing and HR.

Research Approach:
Research approach is generally considered as systematic way of conducting the whole
research. There are two types of research approach available namely: inductive and deductive.
Inductive method generally includes qualitative study and aims to find the new and statement by
involving the theories and laws (Too and Weaver, 2014). And the deductive research is generally
quantitative analysis of the of research. In this particular research, the researcher will use
deductive method as it will be easy for the researcher to collect the quantitative data regarding
the used and impacts of digital technology on the KIP hotel.
Research Strategy:
Research strategies can be defined as the step by step action plan that help in providing
researchers with direction to their efforts and thoughts and help them to efficiently conduct the
research in systematic manner. Thus, it helps in the production of high quality result. It is also of
two type qualitative and quantitative, in case of qualitative research strategy generally includes
analysis of the data from various sources and in case of quantitative data the numerical data is
analysed. Thus, it will be easy for researcher to use the qualitative research strategies when
compared to quantitative. Hence, qualitative approach of research strategy will be used by the
researcher in the present research.
Data Collection:
Data collection is the process of gathering and collecting the important information on
the variable interest in systematic manner (Spender, 2014). Data collection is of two type
primary data collection and secondary data collection. Primary resources generally includes
surveys and interviews and secondary sources include books articles and journals. Thus,
researcher will consider primary resource of data as it will provide with the latest available

Sampling:
Sampling process is generally used for the statical analysis of the observation and data
collected. There are various type of sampling methods such as : simple random sampling,
stratified sampling, cluster sampling, systematic sampling and multistage sampling (Gido,

objectives of the research. Hence, below are the themes that have been formulated in order to
analyse the collected data:

technological advancements in hotel that can help in effective transformation in business
activities such as accounting, marketing, HR and operation (Crane and Matten, 2016). Along
with this there are 4 employees who disagree to the fact that digital technology should be applies
in KIP hotel and there are 3 employees who are in state of confusion whether this technology
should be implemented of not. Although, there are 2 employees who highly disagree to the point
that digital technology should be implemented to the hotel and don't think that this technology
will bring any transformation in business actives of this hotel.
