Research is the process through which researcher research on particular topic and
conducts a deep study through survey, interviews and also sometimes attend seminar to know
more about the company profile. Researcher researches the internal and external matters of the
topic which is conducted in relation to any business helps them to take appropriate decision
regarding their working structure. They collect various data and information relating to that topic
which also acquires the impact on business and the risk associated with their working. There are
various methods and technologies which researcher used to carry out their research and
investigate on certain matters to make their research valid and useful. Researcher uses digital
technology topic to conduct the survey and impact on business with these fast upgrading
technology. Various business gets affected due to innovation in technologies and they have to
spend lot of their saving to trained their employees with this perspective. Thus, researcher
conduct a survey and investigation to identify various facts and information about the business
adapting this technology for better future.
MAIN BODY
Research Methodology
Research methodology means any research on the basis of conducting survey, or
referring matters from publications and newspaper and attending seminar to get the details study
on the respective topic. The research can be conducted on the basis of past, present or future
issue which can be arises at any time relevant to that topic (Research Methodology: Approaches
and Techniques, 2019). Thus, it can be said to be systematic plan conducting an appropriate
research which is useful for business to take appropriate decision.
Research Philosophy: Its is that process that provides way to gather data, information and
analysed them in systematic way. The philosophy of research is to collect the data as much as
needed to understand the advantages and disadvantage of that available topic. There are two
types of research philosophy - interpretivism and Positivism (Silverman, 2016). Interpretivism
means to interpret the available data or analyse certain facts and information in respect of
qualitative data and then interpret the information while positivism is result to having the large

with nature, source and development of business in respect of digital technology. Researcher will
apply interpretivism philosophy to conduct the research.
This helps them to conduct the qualitative data and information regarding to that topic
and collect the major issue arise from it (Roberts and et.al., 2016). As due to innovation in digital
technologies every business spend lot of their earnings to providing training to the employees to
learn the technology and their usage to give more profits to the business. Data are collected for
huge amount regarding to digital technologies as to expand the business or to bring new changes
regarding the services they are offering digital technologies helps the companies to upgrade their
business. To adapt interpretivism method, it helps researcher to interpret various review of
employees regarding the digital technology and their capacity to adapt such changes (O’Halloran
and et.al., 2018). As research is mainly based on theory and models and they can be easily
interpreted.
Research Approach: In includes the plan and procedure to conduct an appropriate and effective
research. As they have to take step by step procedure to conclude on respective topics and
provide judgement. To conduct the research on digital technology they have to conducted on vast
scope (Research Approach, 2019). As there are two types of research approach inductive and
deductive. Inductive approach contributes on bringing new theories and assumption which is
based on qualitative data. While deductive approach brings valid points on the bases of theories
and hypothesis. They are mostly based on Quantitate data and they belong to various models
which identify certain facts to be used to conduct this research.
Researcher uses inductive approach to conduct the research. To conduct the research on
digital technology, inductive research is beneficial as it helps them to identify certain facts and
also observes various changes in the society. This provides pattern to the researcher to plan
research activities in a prescribed form and approach to achieve valid research (Garvis and
Lemon, 2015). To get the detailed survey, they have to know about the review of employees
regarding the changes in digital technology as the major impact on the employees and then to the
person. As they have to adopt new technologies to maintain close relation with the working in
society. Researcher uses this approach to identify the employee's strategy to learn this technology
and about the comfort level to adapt such changes in their life.
In the present study inductive approach is useful for the researcher to assemble the
detailed study of the digital technology. The major changes which cause problem is regarding to

and interests of customers towards such procedure (Gubrium and Harper, 2016). Researcher not
only view the employees review buts also research about the customers interest towards online
marketing. As they also identify various aspects through which customers are neglecting online
purchasing and companies lacking to fulfil customers interest. That the reason to choose the
inductive approach and find new theories behind the research.
Research Design: Research designs is conducted to plan the research question and then
evaluated the objective to meet the research planning and conduct. Research design is used to get
the appropriate answers of the question that is raised and also helps companies to use this
answers to improve their condition in the market (Haythornthwaite and et.al., 2016). There are
two types of research designs descriptive and experimental in which researcher will apply
descriptive research design to identify the matters relating to digital technology and their success
ratio in business.
This design is based in creating the current facts which are happing in society and the
problems and matters to overcome form such challenges. To choose this design the researched
had to first identify the question in which answers are interpreted by the person and employees
working in the business (de Jager and et.al., 2017). They have to communicate properly with the
customers and employees to identify certain facts and information which gives them the accurate
answers to conduct the research. Researcher research with larger number to gain as much
information but to conduct research with large scale, it involves the consuming concept and also
sometimes the results are not accurate. As it depends upon the mind of the person and employees
working in the organization. As sometimes they provide results which are not accurate because
of not providing proper answers, this result in invalid of results arise from the research.
Researcher use qualitative research design to find the objective for which they choose
this topic and conduct research. As due to changes in time and also the taste of customers are
changing, business uses various techniques to attract the customers which involves by upgrading
the digital technologies in terms of marketing or payment mode or any other aspects which
provides profits to the company (Henry and Powell, 2018). Researcher uses various data relating
to social media marketing, their usefulness to the customer and how company adopts techniques

which they collect and gather from society and also companies which helps them to enhance
more information in that topic (Park, 2017).
Data collection-
Data collection is basically the systematic approach of gathering and measuring
information from different sources to get complete, accurate and appropriate picture of the area
of interest or in which study is being conducted. it is considered to be the component of the
research on all the fields of study which includes physical and social sciences , humanities and
business,. Through data collection researcher can collect the information from al the relevant
sources so that they able to get the answers to the research problem and the findings can be
communicate to its users(Henry and Powell, 2018). There are basically two sources through
which data can be collected that is primary source of data collection ad secondary source of data
collection.
Primary data sources are used more often which can be done using survey research,
experiments, direct observation, questionnaire and many other survey techniques which can be
used to collect the primary data. Secondary data collection can be conducted by the researcher
by collecting the information from different sources which have been already collected the data
that is electronically stored information(Taylor, Bogdan and De Vault, 2015). Census and
market studies can be used as a source of secondary data collection.
For analysing the impact of digital technology on the growth and profitability of the
business the researcher is using the primary source of data collection which helps them inn
generating the most appropriate and effective information through which they can decide to
increase or decrease the use of the digital technology in their organisation(Lin and et.al., 2017).
As digital technology pays very essential role in expanding the company's growth and success.
the researcher has been use different ways of collecting the primary data which includes
questionnaires, personal investigation, telephonic investigation through which researcher
contacts directly face to face with the respondents so that reliable and suitable data can be
collected and the information which is generated having higher reliability and more accuracy
Hence , primary source of data collection will help the organisation in ascertaining the
most appropriate information regarding the impact of digital technology on the profitably and

Sampling
Sampling is the process which is used in statistical analysis in which predetermine
number of observation are taken from the large population. It is the general process of selecting
the units from large given population so that by studying the sample researcher is able to
analyses the correct and appropriate information regarding the digital technology and its
impacts(O’Halloran and et.al., 2018). There are various methods which can be used for sampling
purpose and which includes simple random sampling, stratified sampling, cluster sampling,
multistage sampling, and systematic random sampling.
simple random sampling means a sampling method in which sample population is selected
randomly by not specifying the criteria of the selection the populations randomly selected by the
researcher to make them part the sample.
Stratified sampling is the sampling method in which groups or starts are formed by the
researcher on basis of some classification which can be age, gender etc. and selection of some
units from each of the strata is considered to be the part of the sample for given
population(Palinkas and et.al., 2015).
cluster sampling- it is the type of the sampling method in which researcher divides the complete
population into separate groups which is called clusters and the simple random sample of
clusters is been selected from the population.
Multistage sampling-it is the sampling method in which sample are taken ion stages using
smaller sampling units at each stage(Park, 2017) . This can be considered to be the complex
from the cluster sampling as it is type of sampling which involve dividing the population into
groups or clusters.
Systematic random sampling- it is the sampling- method in which researcher selects the sample
from the larger population on basis of systematic criteria or systematic way say for example
researcher has decided to select each sample unit one after the other that is alternate people this
might be considered to the systematic random sampling method which can also be used by the
researcher for selecting the sampling- units from the given population.

Researcher us using cluster sampling Method in the study as they are focusing on collecting the
information regarding the impact of digital technology in enhancing the growth and probability
of the business and in thus method they are forming different groups or clusters and from each
group selecting some units as sample for given large population( Powilleit, Hand Held Products

Data analysis
Data analysis is the process of systemically applying the statical and logical techniques so
to describe , illustrate, condense and evaluate the data is also the method of inspecting, cleansing,
transforming and modelling the data with the goals of evaluating and discovering the useful
information so that conclusion v=ca be drawn and hi can be used in further decision making of
the business. There are many types of data analysis such as qualitative analysis which are more
focuses on the patterns, colours, behaviour, attitude and quantitative analysis focused on
numbers ad numerical data.

advertising and many numbers of factors which directly or indirectly contributes to expand the
business of the company and help them in their further growth and development,
Researcher focuses on analysing the data so that they can decide and can take corrective
actions and measure for the company regarding the tool which they are using incredibly that is
the use of the digital technology( Schabenberger and Gotway, 2016). A digital technology have
sometime many benefits to the company and it involve some costs as well . For effective
knowledge company needs to identify the benefits and its disadvantages in order to know
technology's impact on their future growth . If the technology is contributing towards the

Ethical consideration-
Ethics are basically the norms or standards which need to be followed by the researcher
for conducting the difference between the right and wrong this helps to determine the difference
between the acceptable and unacceptable behaviour so to protect the sentiments and ethics of the
people. As people are the one on basis of which researcher need to collect the important
information from their research study and research purpose(Taylor, Bogdan and De Vault,
2015). As this data collection is the form through which they can generate the useful
information and can make effective decisions which help them in their further growth and
success. researcher needs to consider all the ethics and principals while collecting the data and
information from the people through different sources. They must be informed consent,
beneficence that is they do not harm the sentiment of anyone, thee must be respect for anonymity
and confidentiality that there views or knowledge will not be shared wit anyone that is
confidentiality will be maintained and respect for the privacy(Lin and et.al., 2017). These all are
the major and essential ethical issues which are need to considerer by the researcher while
conducting the research study.
Reliability and validity-
Reliability means to which extent assessments are considered to be consistent or how
consistent the results of the study are of measuring a test. researcher needs to collect the
information which is reliable that is they must be of use or only necessary information and data
are required to be collected as the unnecessary data collection s completely wastage of the time
and energy (Henry and Powell, 2018). The data collected must be consistent and reliable so that
study can make useful decision from using those informations.
Validity is basically referring to measuring test which is claimed to measure that is data
collected by the researcher is appropriate to the study which says that collection of the data must
be valid and relevant. Irrelevant data need not be required to collect. Internal validity reefer to
the validity of the measurement and test whereas external validity refers to the ability to
generalise the findings to the targeted population(Palinkas and et.al., 2015). Thee both are very
important in analysing the appropriateness, usefulness and meaningfulness of the research study.

researcher is required to keep the data and information reliable and valid. They need to consider
the both while collecting the data.
Research limitation-
there can be many research limitation which might faced by the researcher while collecting the
data fiord the research study. the limitations of the study might impact on the results and
conclusions which makes difficult for making correct decisions as and when required, limitations
generally require the critical, overall appraisal and interpretation of their impact on the research
study( Schabenberger and Gotway, 2016). The limitation may include: wrong sample size,
selection of inappropriate method, data collection process, equipment, more time, financial
resources, complex task, large population etc.
Researcher has to face the limitations and in order to eliminate the limitations they need
to effectively plan and take corrective measures so that elimination of limitations can be done
and appropriate and relevant information can be generated from the data collected. there are
some other limitation also which might faced y the researcher that is the selection of the sample
people having low confident in context with their answers and responds which directly affect the
conclusion ad finding of the research and hence leads to wastage of the resources and generation
of the wrong, inappropriate, and irrelevant data(Taylor, Bogdan and De Vault, 2015). hence,
researches is required to take corrective measures and effectively make the plan for lowering and
eliminating the limitations during their research study.
