project
The method that was used by me in conducting research helped me in getting specific and
effective outcomes. I was able to analyse data in proper manner. For this I used SPSS that lead to
effective results. For conducting research first of all I developed aims and objectives. Then on
this basis questionnaire was prepared. It supported me in initiating next step. I was able to
achieve my goals and objectives. I applied descriptive research method. This was useful as it
gave a brief description on emerging digital technologies. I came to a conclusion that the time
consumed by me was less. It was because of using this approach. For present research I used
qualitative method. It helped me in interpreting data from questionnaire. I was able to evaluate
data very easily. This saved time and cost and completing my research in given timer period. By
developing research methodologies I was easily able to conduct research. I accomplished goals
and objectives effectively. I was able to develop a report that included overall research.
Therefore, it can be concluded that by conducting this research I learned several things.
There was increase in my knowledge and skills. I gained knowledge on how digital technology is
helping small and medium business. Also, what technological advancement are occurring that

has allowed business to implement new tools and techniques. I also noticed that my team
members did not perform their duties well enough. It was because of lack of experience and
skills. Moreover, they did not communicate properly with each other while conducting research.
It resulted in delaying of research and rise in conflicts among them. Thus, I have to interrupt in
between for solving conflicts. For this I assigned specific roles and responsibilities to them. The
distribution of roles was beneficial as it integrated their overall efforts. With this each activity in
research was executed in systematic way. I used SPSS that gave me a new tool to use. Now I can
use this in further research. Also, I can enhance my efficiency by becoming a good researcher. I
also analysed that I need to develop a communication channel which will lead to better
coordination within team. It will be easy for them to follow that structure for communicating.
This can be done by contacting on phone or using e mail. Members will help each other in
completing their task. Furthermore, feedback given will be quick and accordingly actions can be
taken. It will help me in creating a centralised structure that will lead to effective coordination.
At I have to develop research methodologies that will give me an insight through which research
can be conducted. It will hep me in the future.
So in the last I conclude that conducting research was a very good experience. It allowed
me to know how and in what way research is conducted. Also, what are the tools required in it.
Now I am having enough experience that I can conduct more research on different topics. It will
help me in career development and growth. I will be able to find opportunities for growth and
becoming successful. I gained skills about things such as methods, data analysis, etc.

There are various research methodologies that can be used. The selection of techniques
depends on nature and type of research. Also, it depends on researcher that which method will be
used by him or her. All methods have different features and is applied in different situations.
Quantitative research method helps in analysing data by using the software that is SPSS. It is
applied in research in topic is related to find out the solution of problem (Nuseir, 2018). This
method helps in finding out answer of why problem has occurred. Besides this, qualitative
method can be used simultaneously. It is known as pragmatic approach. For using this method
high level of experience and skills are required. A researcher must know about this method
before applying it. For collecting data secondary method can be used. In this data can be
collected from previous research, articles, newspapers, etc. this will help the researcher in getting

an insight for further research. This method is easy to use and is applied to conduct research in
more deeply. Also, it will support researcher in getting specific data. Also, this method is very
crucial in getting the data related to research.
In addition to this, alternative research approach is deductive. This approach includes
testing theory and hypothesis (Smith, 2015). Generally, it is used to evaluate the relationship
between two elements. It used in research that is done at high level. It helps in determining cause
and effect relationship between two subjects. The main advantage of using this method is it gives
better outcomes. Also, data generated by this can be used as secondary research. Another
research philosophy that exist is positivism approach. It is related to theory that is based on
knowledge. The information derived from this is sensory and have some reason. Generally, this
approach is used in aspects of science. The researches that are related to science and is done for
some reason uses positivism approach. It gives outcomes that can be implemented in doing
experiments in science. In addition to this, there are many data sampling methods such as
stratified, cluster, area, etc. Sampling method can be chosen on basis of research. It also depends
on willingness of researcher on how he or she chooses sampling method. From this sample size
is selected on which research will be conducted. Usually, two common methods are used in this
that are random and cluster. It is because they are easy and requires less time and cost. Moreover,
with this different sample size is collected ( Vaioleti, 2016.). Also, it will support researcher in
getting specific data. Also, this method is very crucial in getting the data related to research.
Sample size must be collected effectively as results of research is entirely based on data
collection. Any mistake in this will affect the overall research outcomes.

By conducting research I was able to achieve my goals and objectives effectively. It also
helped my in gaining knowledge about impact of digital technology on business. For conducting
research first of all I developed aims and objectives. Then on this basis questionnaire was
prepared. It supported me in initiating next step. A researcher must know about this method
before applying it. I was able to achieve my goals and objectives. In order to grow and develop
there are several recommendations that can be followed by business. These are as follows :-
 Before implementation of systems business can provide training to employees. It will
help in running of operations in smooth way and reducing its negative impact.

 Business can analyse risk by developing a risk assessment. It will benefit them by
reducing the impact of digital technology on business.
 In order to expand operations business can install different software and applications such
as ERP, big data, etc.
D3 Reflection and engagement in resource process to lead with future improvement
For conducting research in the future several resources are required. It helps in
conducting research in effective manner. Moreover, it is useful for researcher to utilise resources
in effective way if they are been properly determined. There are several resources that was used
by me. I allocated them according to requirement of activities. The resources that was used by
me are as follows :-
Financial resources- it is the most crucial resource that is used. For present study I created a
budget. This helped me in evaluating the overall requirement of finance in conducting research.
On this basis I distributed resources (Giones and Brem, 2017.). It helped me in performing each
activity in proper way. This helped me in saving cost and working accordingly.
Human resources – The human resource are required to perform activities. I recruited some
experienced and skilled work force that supported me in conducting research. By identifying
their skills and qualities I assigned them roles and duties. I hired 20 employees who performed
well. With this I completed my research.
Physical resources – these resources include software and other things that are needed in
conducting research. The resources that I used in this research was SPSS. For this I took training
that helped in using SPSS. It was easy to use and gave precise results. I was able to interpret data
by using SPSS. After processing it effective information was given.
