INTRODUCTION
Transformation of the workplace is the process that used to improve the workforces
skills, tools and different abilities that helps the company to have the constant changes in the
business strategy. The current report is based on Argos which is the retailer operating in the
market of United Kingdom. The current research will put focus on the project management plan
that will outline the time, cost, resources, etc. required to complete the research. Further the
research methodology will be evaluated to know about the best method used in the project.
Further more the data analysis will be outlined by showing the different graphs. At last there will
be reflection on the self performance and recommendations will be given to company.

Rationale:
Argos is leading retail sector having its stores in the market of UK and has number of
employees as well. As there are continuous changes in the market so it is important for the
company to have some digitalization of the things to have better improvements. The reason
behind this is to have the better profitability and market share by having improvements in the
company (Haoxiang and Smys, 2021). The current research topic will help the company to have
improvement in the current working and have better practices related to digitalization. This
makes the retail sector more profitable by having some positive changes in this sector.
Aim:
To evaluate the impact of digitalization by having transformation at the workplace on the
employees. A study on Argos.
Objectives:
 To evaluate the concept of transformation of the workplace.
 To analyse the impact of digitalization at the workplace.
 To analyse the challenges that are associated with the digitalization in the organization.
 To recommend the best solutions that overcome from the challenges.

Project management plan
Project management plan is the document that used to have the proper execution and
evaluation of the activities that are required in order to complete the project. The plan is
necessary to be made as this is basically associated with the different tasks and activities
(Amarasinghe and et.al., 2020). By having the proper segregation of activities that are required to
be performed, cost, time, resources that are required, etc. in order to conduct the current research
the project management plan is as stated below:
Cost: This factors helps to know about the total amount that will be needed in order to
have the better completion of the research. As there are different activities and tasks to be
performed so the cost is the most required factor that must be ascertained (Damij and Damij,
2021). It is very necessary to know about the proper amount that will be required to have valid
research. In this current research $500 will be required in order to accomplish the current study.
Scope: the cope of the current research must be so wide that helps the employees to
know about the positive impact of digitalization in the organization. This research is based on the
UK's retail sector organization. By having the better practices the scope of the research will be
wider and will have better data.
Time: In this factor it basically consists of the total time required in order to have the
better completion of the project. Currently, this research will be taking 3 weeks that is basically
21 days to accomplish the better data and information. This estimated time period will help the
researcher to attain the made aims and objectives.
Quality: The quality factor is the broad aspect that helps to know about the relevancy
and validity of the proposed research. By having the quality of research it helps the researcher to
ensure that the data collected by them is realistic and valid. There comprehensive and quality
management system will help to have the best quality of data on the given topic.
Communication: This is considered as one of the important factor in order to conduct
and have successful research. It is very important to communicate with the different aspects and
practices that helps to have better research (Herlan, Pratami and Puspita, 2021). The researcher
must have proper communication with different parties, respondents, stakeholders, etc. This
helps to have the better and effective communication in order to conduct the best research. By
having the proper communication this makes the current study more effective and trustworthy.

Risks: there are different kinds of risks that can be arisen in order to conduct the research
on the selected topic. So it is very important to know about the risks that are related to the current
research which helps the researcher to know about the risk related to the research. By developing
the current measures to meet the risk previously only, as it helps to have better development of
the strategies for the successful research (Seers, 2012). Developing the strategies to overcome

described, objectively and clarify the research.

workplace skill, tools and abilities in order to keep the constant changes at workplace for
improving the business strategy. Workforce transformation can bes classified in broad manner in
context to area of innovation and improving competitive stature, environmental impact and self-
fulfilment. Workforce transformation can be driving and enabling the innovation and flexibility
that is help for increasing mobile and dispersed workforce. By considering the modern workforce
digital transformation help to provide the effective work as well as it help for increasing the
productivity at company. In context to organizations digital transformation helped for
implementing technologies so that it can help in the retail sector. On the other hand, Müller,
(2019) said that there are major impact on digital transformation is need for high training and
development. Also, by which this is help for empower the modern workforces then it is also
helped for transform the organization in effective manner as well as its help for developing
knowledge accordingly. Technologies are played important role by considering the other factor
and for the consistent experience it can across the engagement between workers.

employee that is helps for increasing the productivity of the organization. On the other hand,
digitalization workforce can be impact negative by replacing the worker with automation, due to
this there are large number of worker are lost their job which impact on their progress.

Theme 3- challenges that are associated with the digitalization in the organization.
According to Johnson and Hill, (2021) there are different types of challenges are faced by
employee such as lack of changes management strategy which is difficult to adopt by worker as
well as it can be impacted by not understanding the process of digitalization. Also, another
challenges are related to the lack of proper IT skill which is not in the worker and it is difficult to
provide them training that is why they are not able to perform well with the help of IT skill.
Further, different types of policy are changed in the digital transformation that can be typical to
manage by employees. Also, the security will be high and impact on the infrastructure.
Conclusion- It has been concluded that literature review helped for analysing the
situation effectively as well as it help for enhance their collection the information with different
sources. Also, workplace transformation is the strategy were used in this literature review. There
are impact were identified for the workplace transformation and then different challenges were
faced by the employee by focus more on other aspect accordingly.

that can be conducted so that it can be help for solving the issue as well as it help for identifying
the problem effectively that can be faced by the scholar and then addressing the aims and
objective accordingly. Also, it is necessary for conducting the research by considering the
following aspect such as defining and collecting the important data related to

achieve the aim this strategy help for collecting data in effective manner.

Data collection- there are two types of data collection method in order to analyse the
data effectively, primary and secondary are two major types of data collection in which primary
data can be find out by directly from the people with the help of survey and questionnaire.
Primary data also known as the first-hand data that is collect at a time of survey. Also, secondary
data can be collects on the basis of previous research which has done by other researcher as well
as this data collection method can be considered as second hand data. For the present study
scholar will uses the primary as well as secondary method for collecting the data because for the
primary method it defines on the basis of questionnaire and then selection the member
accordingly. Then secondary data can collected with the help of books and journal then online
sources will be helpful for the current study (Sion, 2018).
Sampling- for the present study random sampling has been used in which there will be s
30 employees of company has been selected for know about their opinion . Also, survey
method has been used in which questionnaire has been provided to them so that it can share
their view points. Moreover, this method has been adopted in order to known the opinion of
participant.
Data analysis- Thematic method is the best approach which help for analysing the data
effectively which has been represented on the basis of graph and pie chart for makings the
presentation effective. Also, in the project it is necessary to uses presentable manner so that it
help for defining sampling method effectively.
Validity and reliability: This is one of the important aspect of the research which is
maintained by scholar by referring with the reference list in the end of the project as well as it
help to identify from where data has been collected and all the sources are attached so that it help
for identifying the potential and valid sources. Also, other information has been carried with the
help of copyright website. Along with this, article related to workplace transformation has been
taken into consideration and keywords has been used to answer the research question
appropriately.
Ethical considerations: These are the set of principles and the guiding which helps in
designing and researching the data. The scholar has maintained the ethical consideration in order

people were aware about the concept of changes that are required to be done in the organization.

employees and people in the company who are unaware about the transformation and they are
required to be informed in order to have better growth.
