INTRODUCTION
Culture is the customs and social behaviour which an individual of a particular society
has to follow. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in a southern Caribbean nation consisting of
main island which is St. Vincent and a chain of smaller islands. Evaluation on digitalization of
the cultural heritage of the culture of the Caribbean is done in this report.
MAIN BODY
Culture of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines-
Tangible cultural heritage tend to include cultural heritages like regional texts, heritage
places, monuments, etc. which tend to represent the traditional ways for performance several
activities through which all the requirements can be fulfilled. Since Saint Vincent and the
Grenadines is a type of island which is being situated near the ocean because of which it has to
make high amount of efforts for preserving the archaeological monuments which can be pass on
to the future generation (Fielding and Ollivierre, 2017). This, include cultural assets like boats,
music in Saint Vincent & the Grenadines through which follow-ship of the cultural heritages can
be ensured and with that through this it can also make sure that it is able to showcase a correct
path.
Apart from this it is also very important for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines that it tend to
implement digitalization on its tangible as well as non-tangible cultures because through this it
can make sure that cultural richness is being shared with others which will also develop its image
as an new tourist attraction destination (Scobie, 2019). Due to this new element which is being
achieved thorough showcasing the cultural heritage with the utilization of digitalization Saint
Vincent can increase the number of tourists visiting it which will give an additional boost to the
local market as well as will also strength its economy.
Non tangible cultural assets of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines are the local believes
and regional working exercises which have been passed from generations to generations. These
social activities of greeting each other is considered in non-tangible cultural heritage which is
often followed in the regional areas (Sousa and Imaterial, 2017). Thus, with the passing of time
these non-tangible assets are not being often followed because of which is often lost because of
which it is very important for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines that it tend to store is cultural
heritages with the passing of time. Therefore, it becomes very important for the Saint Vincent

and Grenadines that it tend to implement several creative ways through which the information
can be stored in such a way that it is safe and secure and easy to reach.
Due to this factor digitalization is becoming very important because in order to save the
cultural beliefs from extinctions it has to be stored and storing of information in the traditional
method of engraving will require. Thus, digitalization is an effective way because of its
increasing number of customers and its availability.
Digitalization is the process of storing information on the internet, on computers and
mobile phones through which it can be shared from one user to another through the means of
internet and other technological advancement (Aznar, 2017). This is an effective way through
which sharing of the information is often done very efficiently and effectively. In the present
time storing of information is often done on the digital means in various geographic areas
through which information sharing can be achieved efficiently and effortlessly. Which will
motivate others to learn and understand the information which is being provided.
Justification on implementation of digitalization
It will be highly beneficial for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines that it tend to digitalize
its cultural heritage through which it can ensure that its cultural diversity is also reaching to a
wide range of different individuals, through which number of cultural followers will be
increased. With that through the implementation of digitalization cultural tangible products in
smaller size can be preserved while the message engraved on them can be shared through digital
platforms (Cousins, 2018). Through this step Saint Vincent and the Grenadines can make sure
that it is able to preserve the cultural assets of the Caribbean for sharing with the future
generation.
Through digitalizing the cultural tangible and intangible assets Saint Vincent and the
Grenadines can ensure that it is empowering the followers of its culture to share their valuable
knowledge with others at different geographic areas. However, this digitalization of cultural
assets will increase expenditures of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines which will affect its
economic growth but also at the same time through this step it can ensure that the level of
engagement of its citizens with the cultural heritage is increased.
However, with that the Saint Vincent and Grenadines has to ensure that it tend to
implement high level of security to its cultural diversity available on the digital platform. This is
important because there are high level of risks which are being associated with storing of data

online which include a high level threat to privacy and data protections because of which Saint
Vincent and Grenadines has to make several economical expenditures through which it can make
sure that it is able to protect its cultural heritages from getting corrupted or being used for
unethical activities. Thus once the Saint Vincent and Grenadines is able to establish high level of
security for its cultural heritages, it can use this for several activities through which it can make
sure that it is able to achieve its desired target of sharing cultural heritages at different locations.
CONCLUSION
From the evaluation in this report it can be concluded that it is important for the Saint
Vincent and the Grenadines that it must tend to digitalize its tangible and non tangible cultural
heritage while utilizing them in the traditional means. Through this integrated approach it can
ensure that it is able to spread its culture while maintaining its authenticity.
