1. Out of all the self-concepts, the most important for me are my physical condition and
appearance, social traits and my talent.
The physical condition is important because it helps the humans to stay healthy and good
looking. It will help me be fit and it will also benefit me in gaining no disease ever. If a
person is healthy, he or she can do anything but with any sort of disease, no one can ever aim
for their goal or if aimed then the speed would be very slow (Mc Connel & Strain, 2007).
The social traits are important because it helps in communicating with people. The better the
communication is, the better involvement a person feels when he or she is in a community.
Individuals can take their decision in a more ethical and better way with the help of the social
traits. The communication would always be effective as having the traits help a person do it.
The importance of talent is because people with talent are considered to be key factors which
drives the success for any person or a company. Talent makes a big difference in achieving
success.
2. The social comparison theory makes people make the tendency they can have for
making the comparisons with self and others. All the self-concepts could easily be
inflected by the social comparison theory. If psychology is concerned, people tend to
conform to others usually as they feel the need to be a part of the group. Self-concepts
can also be influenced by the social comparison as everyone wants to be the best in
todays world be it physical appearances, talent or any other self-concept (Hadley &
Hair, 2008).
In terms of the social psychology, the reflected appraisal is taken to the as one of the
manipulations on the growth of self-concept. This term is the process where one imagines the
way other people sees him. In many situations, the way one believes that other perceives
them as the way they seem themselves. There are several factors which influences the
individual’s self-assessments. The esteemed managers look at one’s work and delivers a
glowing review. Receiving appraisals from different sources can play a useful role in the
individuals life as to how he or she is affected by the process. Relationships with the family
can also play a role in reflected appraisal.

through. The person may struggle with some kind of emotions like fear, ignorance etc.

confrontations happens which tests the people or characters and cause them to adapt and

of other people on oneself.
Several ways in which a person can manage the impression of oneself on others are:

Reading brings a broad mind and a broad sense of life, living and oneself. Voracious

If any person takes a genuine interest in the conversation or take other people
seriously, he also will be taken seriously in the end (Daum, 2018).
