BACKUP AND DISASTER RECOVERY PLAN
Backup and Disaster Recovery Plan
The research analyzed that the organizations are performed of backup lose valuable data
as there are lack of backup of reliable data. The purpose of this research study is to examine
requirement of data backup with the current state of the data backup methods. The theoretical
framework for this particular study is included of backup theory as well as theory for the disaster
recovery (Lozupone, 2017). The research question are: “how is the backup and disaster recovery
plan implemented, how to fix the problems of disaster recovery and backup and how use of
cloud technologies help to overcome with the identified problems and what are its challenges”. A
survey instrument is used to measure the organizational data backup plan which helps to
determine if the backup and disaster recovery are properly implemented into the research study.
This particular sector includes of data collection, results and summary of the study.
Results of the research study: Backup and disaster recovery plan
From the analyzed data using mixed data analysis methods, it is observed that small
businesses are not experienced a disaster plan and they are not familiar with importance of the
data backup indicator which compute the recovery potential into the disaster (Alhazmi, 2015). It
is analyzed that the research is required to determine if the phenomenon is applicable to the small
businesses throughout comparison based on the analyzed data using the primary data collection.
This particular study is contributed to positive social changes throughout improvement of the
backup along with data recovery plan (Sengupta & Annervaz, 2014). It helps the organizations to
recover from the disaster, therefore save job furthermore contribute to the national economics.
The purpose of this particular study is to examine of relationship among implementation of the
data backup and quality of it. The small business is vulnerable to the disasters. There is lot of

loss as well as corruption of data which results into significant disruption of the business
(Khoshkholghi et al., 2014). It is developed of backup strategies to identify required backup
process and implementation of software backup processes for better recovery of lost data.
Data Collection- Figures and tables along showing visual comparisons
The data are to be collected with use of mixed data analysis methods. The participants are
asked to complete the questionnaires by use of online survey instruments related to data backup.
The participants are from the small IT business organization.

Description of the comparisons
This particular section compares implementation and problems into three companies such
as Google, Microsoft and Amazon.
Implementation of backup and disaster recovery plan
The company, Google implements of Google doc to share the documents and files among
the clients. The success of Google is its artificial intelligence such as DeepMind. The success of
Microsoft is its Microsoft Office. This application helps in storing of data and information into
different applications such as Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and OneNote. The
significant strategy of Amazon is to focus on its long term.

BACKUP AND DISASTER RECOVERY PLAN
Fix problems of disaster recovery and backup
Google faces of problems in its Google doc. The company faces of problems into sharing
of documents as well as files among its clients due to blackout which made completion of task
critical to perform its daily activities. Microsoft launches of Office 365 where few months later,
it was seen that its media was broken which failed office 365 and it’s crushed hopes of its
Microsoft applications. The other failure which Microsoft is experienced is Microsoft Mobile. It
was not fault of Microsoft. Main problems are related to that the mobile comes late to have
impact on its massive head start that Apple Company has on market.
Use of cloud technologies to overcome with the problems
Google is used of cloud computing to solve the technological failures which the company
faces in Google doc. A disaster recovery plan is used efficiently to involve various steps which
counter the unsolved issues. In Microsoft, the cloud computing is the solution for the challenges
that the company is facing. The company experiences outage with its DNA servers where the
projects are being collapsed. The cloud based platform of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
provides the uses with easy scalable solution to meet the computing requirements. It eliminates
requirements of users to invest into physical computer infrastructure. AWS provides required
features to its disaster recovery. AWS helps to protect its data into own data centers by backup to
cloud.

BACKUP AND DISASTER RECOVERY PLAN
From comparison 1, it is analyzed that most of the small IT businesses have completed
their backup as well as disaster recovery plan. They used the plan to store the information and
maintain the data. Any 10% of the businesses are in progress to implement the plan in their
organization. After implementation of the plan, the organization often reviews their plan. 70% of
the participants’ are responded that their plan is reviewed within 1 year. The backup plan
requires updating as well as reviewing when any changes are being occurred. The backup plan is
reviewed to save money and improved the performance of organization for analyzing the
technical issues.
From comparison 2, it is analyzed that 80% of small business IT organizations are used
of the backup as well as recovery plan for the purpose to record of information. Into the plan, the
records are to be kept save and there are very few chances of lost of the data. It is being ensured
that for storing the saved data in the system. It helps to restore system to select the backup data.
70% of the participants are restored their backup plan on weekly basis. Therefore, it helps the
organization to recover their files which requires of hardware to process the restore procedures.
The full backup system is used by organization to recover single file. The data are being restored
while it is required to add of hardware on which it is being performed restore process. The
organization should prepare a schedule to update the plan of business continuity. The updates are
taken as important piece of the audit evidences.
From comparison 3, it is analyzed that the backup process is done to copy the files. 60%
of the respondents use to store the backup data to offsite location automatically. 60% of the
participants said that the recovery plan of the organization is on regular basis, use of schedule
system maintenance checks for the issues. Review of backup and restore process are key

requirement to ensure the data security. It takes time when more changes are made which is
required to restore. The system restore can fix of problems.
Secondary data analysis is also used to provide in-depth understanding of selected topic.
There is development of IT disaster recovery plan so as to analyze the challenges which are
faced into the organization (Westcott et al., 2017). Implementation of data backup as well as
recovery system into the business organization ensure for protection of confidential data. After
the plan is implemented, it is tested and regular audits are done for it.
