Introduction
Mathematics is a base of various things in the Information Technology (IT), such as algorithms,
logics, and many more. A programmer should know about mathematics logics, which are helpful in
designing algorithms and programs. An algorithm has used for managing various things in the field of
IT. Desecrate Mathematics (DM) has provided knowledge to understand algorithms as well as design
multiple algorithms for specific purposes. This report will provide a review about three articles,
which are helping in designing algorithms. It will provide specific applications of DM for IT.
Discrete Mathematics for IT
DM is a useful tool for managing various things in the IT sector. IT infrastructures have faced various
issues and challenges because of changes in business and technologies. Therefore, algorithms have
required to manage such types of issues and challenges, such as data management, network
management, server management, security management, and more. Based on the Colbourn (2010),
combinational logics are necessary to design algorithms, which is suitable for problem-solving. In
addition, there are several logics to resolve various issues in the computing field. Most of the logics
have based on the DM, as it the best way to design new things. DM has provided various ways to use
algorithms for solving various problems of real-time and others. Data management is a huge issue in
front of giant companies. They can use DM for the creation of new logics to manage their data in a
proper way (Colbourn, 2010).
According to Daras & Rassias (2018), there are various security logics and algorithms have designed
based on the DM, which are providing a high level of security from cyber-attacks and cybercrime.
Cybersecurity is based on the algorithms, which have designed using DM. moreover, programmers
have taken the help of DM to analyses complex issues in programming and designing. Modeling is an
application, which has based on DM (Daras & Rassias, 2018). additionally, DM can improve various
processes of algorithm designing, which are helpful in resolving issues and challenges of the IT field.
Besides, Boolean algebra is a base of programming, which is used in creating control functions in
different systems. Moreover, 2D and 3D modeling are using DM for better results, as it has used in
the editing software. DM has also used in gaming applications.
Based on (Epp, 2010), there are various useful logics in the DM, which can be used for designing
algorithms. An algorithm can be used for various applications, such as programming, controlling, and
many more. Mostly, algorithms have designed based on the logic, which has raised from
mathematics, as it is a basic level of logic. There are many benefits of DM in the developing of
applications. Gaming is based on the DM, as it has provided the advance levels of geometry and
calculations. Additionally, there are some applications, which were designed based on the DM. in
addition, graph theory has used for solving various technical issues. Traveling salesman algorithm
has used for solving route issues and other problems. It has provided minimum distance paths
(Rosen & Krithivasan, 2012).
Furthermore, DM has taught in many universities to increase the thinking of students, which is
beneficial for problem-solving. Most of the algorithms have designed using basic logic and concepts.
(Queiruga-Dios, et al., 2018). Low-level programming is basically used algorithms, which have
created using mathematics logic. The authors have provided various applications of DM for IT. Most
of the concepts have created because of the best results using DM. Mathematics helps in the
understanding of various concepts of programming and learning (Cook, 2018). DM has provided a
logical approach to resolve issues, which is good for managing various things. Moreover, people can
easily solve their technical issues using DM in the field of IT (Gries & Schneider, 2013). DM has used
for managing various things in computer applications, such as excel, database, and many
more(Perry, 2019). In addition, cloud computing is providing various solutions for critical issues in

the IT sector, which was based on the DM as well. Most of the critical processes can be solved using
the basic concepts of DM. however, it has required deep knowledge about mathematics logic.
Many programmers have used internal and external concepts of DM to design new solutions for
solving various issues. Furthermore, combinational logic can be used for managing basic issues in
programming and different things in IT. Moreover, new technological innovations are based on the
DM, such as augmented reality, virtual reality, and many others. Cryptography has used DM for
designing secure algorithms, which will provide more security to various IT-systems. Most of the
applications have created based on the DM logics, which has reduced the complexity of
programming. There are many advantages of DM, which is better for the various sectors especially IT
and computer science. It has used in various industries as well.
Conclusion
In conclusion, DM has provided various benefits in the field of IT. It has enhanced the IT field
especially in design thinking and problem-solving using algorithms. This report has analyzed different
articles, which has provided different applications of DM for IT. Data management is easier with the
help of DM in the IT sector. Security is better with the help of cybersecurity, which was based on
cryptography and DM. finally, DM is a powerful tool to design algorithms, which will use for
programming and other applications. It will improve the future of the IT sector.
