Background
In the Australian market the migrants face the significant discrimination in the job market (Tesfai
2019). In order to obtain the job, the immigrant workers as well as their family members face the
struggle. In order to access the employment, significant as well as disturbing level of crimination
can be considered as the important concern. After the industrialization, mostly the large portion
of Western Europe and others parts of the world have introduced the tough hiring process for
these employees. In the words of Udah et al. (2019), Discrimination is noticeably high in both
the traditional and others workplace. The Australian research council Discovery project scheme
has funded a sociological research on refugee resettlement, skills and qualification, language
diversity and employment assistance, in which it has been identified that the policy makers and
the service providers have taken the discriminative approach towards the migrant settlement
which has created the ethical concern in the society. In the current scenario, it has become an
important concern as unemployment amongst the skilled labor has made the massive loss in
occupational status. It has also created the interruption in case of getting the human capital
benefit in Australia and due to waste of skills, short supply of human resource has made the
situation more complicated.
Randolph (2017) opined that it has been identified that the structural disadvantage is quite visible
in the labor market for refugee. Non recognition facilities for the refugee employees have made
the unsatisfactory employment outcome. By continuing this, Ponzoni, Ghorashi and van der
Raad (2017) stated that it can be said that increasing employee discrimination based on soft skills
has made the situation more complicated for the society. The everyday racism has affected the
level of life satisfaction that influenced the labor market. In this situation improvements in the

national system of qualification recognition in the workplace needs to be revised by the owners
for promoting better work experiences.
The particular project aims to explore the visible differences on the employment that has been
recently aroused in Western part in Australia. The employment satisfaction has become the
critical concern to maintain the anti-discriminative approach in the workplace. By putting the
sections such as job equity, anti discrimination and perception of the refugees together, using
relevant literature, the research paper will focus on identifying the responsible factors as well as
it can also enhance the further scope for bringing research opportunities in the particular field.
Literature review
According to Boss (2019), it has been identified that especially in the western part in Australia, it
has been identified that the overall discrimination rate is 35% and all the advertised vacancies are
being closed for the ethnic minatory group applicants. It has been identified that in every three
cases, minor candidates faced the discrimination. In most of the countries, it has been identified
that the migrants are suffer due to disproportionately high unemployment rates than the national
citizen. By supporting this Arnold and König (2019) stated that the insufficient language skill
and cultural variations are the significant reasons behind this discrimination in the workplace.
Researching on the employment discrimination, it has been identified that in the Australian
history, due to intolerance of Islam, it has been significantly raised. Similarly investigating the
situation in Africa, it has been identified that due to the problem appeared in the working sector
due to the negative approach of people towards the black African Muslims. The repeated
humiliation as well as racist view of society influences such discriminative approach in the
workplace (Andersson 2018).

It is true that the Australian population is getting diverse day by day. However in this situation
the conflict based on the racism and unfair work policies are impacting on the social structure.
As opined by Andersson (2018), in order to deal with the situation the federal government has
focused on introducing the social cohesion and bringing the multiculturalism elements for
providing the advantages for the culturally diverse immigrants. However, restructuring the work
policies, recently Australia has improved the legislative framework. Recently the racism
approach of Australians has shifted Asia to the Middle East and African people, who migrants in
the country for job and business purpose. In this situation for resettling the Australian refugees,
the resettlement program has been introduced so that the ongoing discrimination can be reduced
(Alemi et al. 2017).
In the current scenario, it can be said that immigrants have become the important part in
Australian immigrant folklore. It has been identified that most of the immigrant African
employees concentrate toward the food processing and aged care industry, which are booming
GDP rate in the country (Alemi et al. 2017). By continuing this, it can be said that the larger
portion of the security industry has been covered by the black Africans. However the white collar
refugees mostly face the settlement barriers. Analyzing the major reason behind large numbers of
refugees in different working sector it has been identified that they have the he family
responsibility which drag them towards working in the job roles which are lower than their labor
potential. After working few years in the low skilled ob roles, the actual potentiality of the
employees gets affected. In this case, Arnold and König (2019) opined that it becomes crucial for
the immigrant skilled employees to maintain their professional skill potentiality. However, in
the late of 19th century, the highly skilled employees have been registered as the low skilled
labors and it as created the wastage of human resources. By contradicting this some of the

researcher have argued that African training as well as educational institutions have
comparatively lower level than the Australia’s qualifications and recognition process, where the
discrimination aroused (Boss 2019).
