This research project investigates the impact of workplace discrimination on employee productivity and performance, with a specific focus on Sainsbury. The introduction highlights the importance of equality, diversity, and inclusion in maintaining a positive brand image. The project aims to analyze the influence of inequality in the workplace, examining the factors leading to discrimination and its effects on employee performance. The methodology employs a qualitative research type with an inductive approach, utilizing primary and secondary data collection methods, including a survey of 20 employees. Data analysis involves thematic analysis, exploring themes such as employee tenure, familiarity with workplace discrimination, and the impact of discrimination on performance. The findings indicate that Sainsbury should avoid workplace discrimination to create a positive work environment, as diversity and equality motivate employees and enhance productivity. The project recommends providing training, promoting respect, and implementing non-discriminatory recruitment practices. References to relevant academic literature are included.
