The Sentara heart hospital is a state health department which is a destination medical
centre that provided emergency care to the heart patient. It offers quality and comprehensive
heart care treatment using advanced diagnosis and imaging for minimum invasive heart surgery.
The unique feature of the state health care department is that they have efficient staffs to provide
effective care to the patient who requires the service most (Sentara.com., 2019). A study by
Mulukutla et al. (2018), suggested that the environment of community or local care services
differs from the state department of health.
Sentara heart hospital is situated in North Carolina and Virginia. Although Sentara heart
hospitals provided cardiac care to north Caroline and Virginia residents who are suffering from
severe cardiac disease, it also offers online and offline services to the individuals who require
cardiac care the most. It operates more than a hundred services including 12 acute care hospitals
of 1911 beds, 380 primary care and multi-specialty physicians who are able to provide patient-
centric care. Accumulated evidence suggested that the unique features of the hospital are that the
patients who live nearest to the hospital and require emergency heart services, the hospital
provides air transportation services to them in order to provide faster services to the required
patient (Pagani et al. 2015). The core function is to provide cardiac care. The diverse range of
services were provided by the hospital are including 24/ 7 emergency care, cardiac rehabilitation,
community screening, and heart catheterization and interventional cardiology, heart failure
management, heart rhythmic management, pacemaker device implantation, and preventive
cardiology as well as TAVR screening. The communication is the key to health care services as
observed for the Sentara heart hospital. According to Mulukutla et al. (2018), the majority of the
heart professional in many states failed to engage patients in therapeutic communication and

provide holistic care. Therefore, they failed to obtain a positive outcome from the health care
services and patient satisfaction. this is the unique feature of the Sentara heart hospital since the
health professionals offer a range of services by engaging the patients and as well as the family
members while giving holistic care to the patient (Young et al. 2015).
Question 2:
However, it was also observed that although patients are willing to receive high-quality
services, due to the use of high-quality diagnosis tools, a considerate number of individuals with
low economic status and lives away from North Carolina refused to seek clinical assistance from
the health care services. Therefore, this intervention reduced the number of audience. It was also
observed that many patients reported no doctors are present in the emergency period of the
hospital during the winter (Soltis, 2015). However, the accurate actions were taken due to their
air ambulance services where one hospital to another hospital they were transferred. The
telephone communication, as well as electronic health records, was used by the hospital in order
to give an effective response.
