Introduction
Education system has become more advance with the time. Distance course have
gain popularity in last few years. Previously people used to go to education institute to gain
the knowledge but nowadays the teaching methods have changed and students are going for
distance education system(Simonson et al,. 2014). As it, help them to do the course as per
their needs and timing. So this is both win-win situation university get more number of
students and students get more number of course as per their needs.

Swot Analysis
The DMU has proposed a plan of expanding their business by introducing the
distance learning process for overseas student. For the matter swot analysis has carried upon
the plan, which the company had proposed (Keegan 2013). SWOT includes strength,
weakness, opportunity and threats. The swot analysis has laid down:

It has a brand value in the industry, so they will get student very easily
It has large numbers of course which will make them different from other

done to know the different view of the proposal (E. Dobbs 2014). The analysing model,
which has used here is Micheal Five Porter Model and below the model has discussed:
1. Suppliers power- It includes how the suppliers can manipulate their prices
and it can increases the cost of the company (McDONALD 2016). It help the
company to get a view over the suppliers of the university.
2. Rivalry in the market – It gives the details about the competitors, which are
there in the market (Simpson 2013). It help the university to know with whom
they have to deal in the market.
3. Threats of new entry – It tell how easy other organization can enter in to the
industry (Dälken 2014). This help the university to plan their future in the
market.
4. Buyer’s power- It gives an overview of the students who are there to take the
course. It let know how it can be control by the power of the students
5. Threats of substitution – It deal how one student can change their course and
university and how it can affect the university as a whole.

accordingly. So this process can made by the university to make a better communication with
