INTRODUCTION
Diversity in the nursing related to the know how to react if patient become violent in
respect of their culture, religion or gender. Moreover it also include situation related to when
medical professional refuses to provide treatment to patient because of their identity as LGBTQ
(Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) (Belintxon and et.al., 2020). The respective report is
based on evaluation related to diverse populations and nursing practices related to it. According
to which evaluation is based on different aspects such as why is essential for women to
considered diversity in their life as well as it also include registered nurse standards developed
by government. Topics covered in respective report are related to social determinants of health
and its impact on children, it also include health inequalities on different aspects as well as it
cover health outcomes. In addition to this it also include standard related to engaging in a
therapeutic and professional relationship.
TASK 1
Social determinants of health and how they impact this children
Social determinants of health is determined as economic as well as social condition
which influence a person and group differences in health status. These are mainly considered as
health promoting aspects found in an individual living as well as working condition such as
income, wealth, power and influence other than a person risk factors like behaviour risk aspect,
genetics and many more. There are several examples of the social determinants of health such as
income level, gender inequality, occupation, employment status, educational opportunities, racial
segregation, food insecurity and inaccessibility of nutritious food choices, access to utility
services like house, food and water and many more (Bristol and et.al., 2020). There are several
factors which need to addressed in respect of social determinants of health such as
neighbourhood and environment, health care, education, economic stability, social and
community context and many more.
In respect of social determinants of health and its impact on the children related to those
who belongs from the poor family. It is shown that children who have low income household are
mainly experienced several diseases such as illnesses as well as injuries in respiratory. One of
the major link between the income of family and health of child because due to low income
parent are not able to fulfil nutrition demand or requirement of children which leads to

occurrence of different diseases. On the other hand it is also determined that if a parents have
high income then it leads to fact which increase the likelihood which children develops asthma
as well as allergies. This will generally take place because hygiene hypothesis and notion which
enhance respective condition which result to the less exposure of immune building
microorganism as well as parasites in many affluent households.

Health inequalities is considered as difference in status of health or in distribution of
resources of health among different groups of population, arise through the social condition in
that an individual born, live, grow and being old (Graber and et.al., 2020). It is also determined
as unfair and may be reduced by the proper mix of policies developed by government. In respect
of health inequalities among the children is based on the several aspects such as well-being, risk
of disease, abuse/violence, healthy life expectancy, morbidity and mortality. Well-being is
because when a child belong from the poor background then there is high chance that they
experience several repository diseases as well as it also leads to different diseases due to getting
low nutritions. On the other hand when child belong to rich background then they may
experience disease like asthma and allergies due to hygiene hypothesis and notion. Moreover in
respect of risk of disease both risk and poor child has high risk because poor children not get
proper nutritions whereas due to hygiene hypothesis and notion rich child has weak immune
which impact on their health. It is also considered poor children are mainly experience high
abuse/ violence in their family as well as from others. It is also seen that healthy life expectancy
it is seen that rich people are more access to it. This show that health inequality among children
is highly based on the social determinants of health
Health inequities such as difference in access, affordability, income etc.
It is also considered that there is difference in the health status among the population
groups which are systematic in unequal distribution across population, socially produced, unfair
and avoidable. Moreover, there are several different aspects related to this such as affordability,
income of family, access of health services and many more (Hopkins, Kooken and Winger,
2020). In respect of health inequalities experienced by a children due to affordability of services
or facilities, income of family, access of health services and many more. In respect of
affordability factor it is determined that when a child belongs from the poor family then they not

able to afford as well as access health care facilities provided by government or other agencies.
Whereas if the child belongs from a rich family then they can easily access as well as afford the
medical services even at the small health issues (Jaffe, Scott and Straatman, 2020). On the other
hand income is also one of the main aspect which leads to health inequality among the children.
It is so because when a child parent have low income they not able to provide proper medical
services or facilities and they also face issues in providing nutritions food all time. Whereas
children who belongs to the high income group family they can easily afford medical services.
Health outcomes – key health issues impacting this population i.e. certain disease, mental health
issues, injuries etc.
Health outcome are considered as changes conducted in health which result from the
measures health care investment or interventions. In respect of this health care professional
mainly gather information on the basis of health care facilities provided to children according to
which outcome will be developed. In respect of this, there are several health issues experienced
by a child due to social determinants of health such as allergies, colds, gastro, hand, foot and
mouth disease, conjunctivitis, lice, impetigo, worms and so on. In addition to this there are also
several other diseases which are experienced by children due to social determinants of health
such as measles, acute respiratory infections, diarrhea, whooping cough (petussis), polio, tetanus,
tuberculosis, obesity and many others. Along with this there are several mental health issues
which are experienced by a child such as anxiety, depression oppositional defiant disorder
(ODD), conduct disorder (CD), tourette syndrome, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and
many more (Levey, 2020). These mental as well as physical health issues impact on a child
having low nutritions food and have weak immunity system badly, due to which some time
children may loss their life.

It is crucial to consider different nursing care standards in order to effectively and
efficiently conduct different practices of nursing. There are different nursing standards which
will be significant for correctly performing health care practices as well as provide better
services to patient. Nursing care consideration will be useful for enhancing care faculties and

practices in order to provide better care to individual of population. It is essential that different
standards of nursing care has been considered in while providing care practices to children.
These standards will be significant for effective for providing correct and accurate guidance to
health care practiser in order to satisfy the need of patient (Young and Guo, 2020). Nursing
standards can be describe as the professional guidance that is significant for providing correct
and accurate practices of health care sector as well as meeting with the need of patient. These
standard of practices is effective for proving guide to knowledge, judgement, attitude or
knowledge which is required to perform health care practice. The standards of nursing practices
can reflect as the desired goals that needs to be achieve by through performance of health care
practiser. Nursing standard can be consider as the goal as per which actual performance will be
compared. Through this it can be easily understand whether nursing practices are correctly

As per this standard it has been identified that nurses need to use and develop variety of
thinking strategies. These standard will provide direction and guidance to think properly while
taking any decision regarding health care practices. Critically thinking and analysis nursing
practices is helpful for researching and determining best possible evidence in making decision as
well as providing safe and quality services. It is crucial that nurse or health care provider is
consider this nursing standard while taking any decision regarding health care practices for
children. This standard will assist is collecting and gathering information about self practices.
Reflection on experiences, knowledge, feeling, action will help in determining self capability
and potential to effective and efficiently conduct required task and practices. This will help in
shaping practices of individual to correctly carry out the practices. Nurse that is providing health

considered as this will be effective for communicating and understanding in order to provide
better health care services to child. In this type of practices it is every important that better and
effective relationship are developed between child and health care provider. It is crucial that
health care provider is considering correct approach while communicating with children and
understanding their issues. Therapeutic and professional relationship is significant for building
and developing strong relationship with the patient so that they can openly share their issues or
problems. According this health care provider will take correct actions as well as provide better
practices for successfully performing nursing activities. Through this standard of health care
provider will be able to correctly communicate with children as well as gain their trust in order to
effectively conduct health care activities. Therapeutic or professional relationship is based on
mutual trust among health care provider and patient which is created on the basis of faith and
hope (Noone and et.al., 2020). It is very important that nurse or health care provider is very
tolerant, patience and kind so that children get easy get comfortable with them and share
feelings or issues. Through this nursing standard better understand and information about
effective verbal non verbal communication as it is essential part of nurse and patient interaction.
It is considered to be significant for provide high quality care to person as well as enables
children to be equal partner in order to achieving desired goal wellness. Health care provider

Standard 5 : Develop plan for nursing practice
According to this standard of nursing practices it has been identified that it is crucial to
develop and create effective plan in order to successfully perform nursing practices (National
Association of School Nurses, 2020). There are different types of patient and it is crucial for
health care provider to carefully identify and determine the issues or want of patient in order to
successfully develop effective plan. This standard of nursing is significant for providing correct
guidance to health care provider. Through this nurse will be able to determine the responsibility
of planning and communicating nursing practices. As per this standard it is essential that health
care provider is developing a plan in order to successfully carry out nursing practices. Through
this health care provider will be able to consult with the patient and their family member. Agreed
plan is significant for development in partnership between health care provider and patient.
Through this comprehensive, evidence as well as relevant information can be collected and
documented in order to successfully and effectively conduct required business practices
(MacDaniel, 2020). This standard is helpful for creating and developing a plan so that high
quality services is provided to patient. This standard is significant for construction of
collaboratively nursing practices plan that is based on contingencies, options priorities, action as
well as goals in order to effectively attain desired goals along with the resolving issues of patient.
It is important that nurse or health care practice is correctly considering this standard as well as
performing practices as per the guidelines of the standards in order to effectively deal with the
issues as well as provide better health care services.

poor family. As in poor family parents not able to provide proper situation and food which is
essential for a child growth. On the other hand in when child belong to rich family there is high
