Determination of the schedule performance Index (SPI)
The SPI outlines the actual progress of the project when compared to the planned schedule
(Shekhar & Kumar, 2016). It measures the efficiency of the schedule expressed as a ratio of the
value achieved against the planned value. For instance, the SPI for data collection would be
determined though taking the ratio of the earned value against amount of money that shall be
used which might be less or more than the estimated $200 the planned value. When the SPI is
less than one, it signifies been behind the speculated schedule.
Determination of cost performance index (CPI).
Facilitates the analysis of the cost efficiency of the project (Kumar, Groth& Vlacic, 2015). It
determines the value of the completed work completed in comparison to the actual project cost.
Is established by dividing the earned value by the actual cost.
