INTRODUCTION
Equality and diversity is main term which is being used to discuss fairness and treatment.
It is all about making sure that all and employees at different levels, gender, age group, ethnicity
and cultural have equal opportunities in all terms. In the context of workplace, it can be said that
equality and diversity means promoting (Foster, 2019). All age group, culture, race and gender of
people have some unique features which need to be praised and respected or treated equally and
this equal treatment to all people is known as diversity and equality.
Background
This present study is based on Arco Ltd which is mainly specializing in providing safety
equipment such as: safety boots, work wear, gloves. It is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of
safety equipment having aim of make all people safe at workplace. This present study is going to
show importance of equality and diversity at workplace. It also shows some ways by which
company can develop equality and cam get several advantages (Ozeren and Aydin, 2016).
Implementation of equality or providing equal treatment to all types of employees support
companies in taking competitive advantages, accomplishing their goals, improving performance
and productivity. Further, it will also show some factors and problems which occur when
companies including Arco Ltd implement diversity such as; languages problems, resistance of
employees etc.
Research methodology and data collection also plays an important role as it support
scholars in gathering all those informations which can allow them in solving main research
problem and accomplishing goals. It will show the main and objectives which Arco Ltd want to
gain by developing this research and following all steps of research.

Rationale
Equality and diversity is a broad term which can give several advantages to company and
can increase knowledge of them. Competition is one of the main factor by which companies are
trying to make some changes in their strategies and making their processes unique for being in
the competition. Many organizations believe that one of the main key of the success is
employees (Ashe and Nazroo, 2017). So, for satisfying employees it is important to treat them in
an equal manner. So, making companies aware about importance of equality and diversity this
topic has been chosen.
Research problem
Developing research is not an easy task as researcher has to follow several steps in a
systematic manner. If researcher skips one of the step than it creates several problem which
include: Delay in the submission of project, increasing cost etc. There are several other factors
which can also create problem in developing research and can also become the reason of poor
quality of projects such as lack of skilled workforce and financial resources (Ozeren and Aydin,
2016).

Project management is one of the important part of research. It allows researcher in

during data interpretation. Furthermore, Quantitative method is based on the mathematical value
which providing the better solution or output.
In this research study, investigation has chosen the qualitative method that help for
collecting large amount data in regards of research project. The scholar has chosen method on
the basis of nature or project where how it can easily deals with different result or output.
Research philosophy: it is a type of systematic process that directly related to belief,
thoughts and assumption (Taherdoost, 2016). It can be require the reliable knowledge about the

pragmatism, realism, intepretivism and positivism.
