Topic- Identify impact of diversity and equality on the performance of business.
INTRODUCTION
Equality and diversity is main term which is being used to discuss fairness and treatment.
It is all about making sure that all and employees at different levels, gender, age group, ethnicity
and cultural have equal opportunities in all terms. In the context of workplace, it can be said that
equality and diversity means promoting (Foster, 2019). All age group, culture, race and gender of
people have some unique features which need to be praised and respected or treated equally and
this equal treatment to all people is known as diversity and equality.
Background
This present study is based on Arco Ltd which is mainly specializing in providing safety
equipment such as: safety boots, work wear, gloves. It is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of
safety equipment having aim of make all people safe at workplace. This present study is going to
show importance of equality and diversity at workplace. It also shows some ways by which
company can develop equality and cam get several advantages (Ozeren and Aydin, 2016).
Implementation of equality or providing equal treatment to all types of employees support
companies in taking competitive advantages, accomplishing their goals, improving performance
and productivity. Further, it will also show some factors and problems which occur when
companies including Arco Ltd implement diversity such as; languages problems, resistance of
employees etc.
Research methodology and data collection also plays an important role as it support
scholars in gathering all those informations which can allow them in solving main research
problem and accomplishing goals. It will show the main and objectives which Arco Ltd want to
gain by developing this research and following all steps of research.

Rationale
Equality and diversity is a broad term which can give several advantages to company and
can increase knowledge of them. Competition is one of the main factor by which companies are
trying to make some changes in their strategies and making their processes unique for being in
the competition. Many organizations believe that one of the main key of the success is
employees (Ashe and Nazroo, 2017). So, for satisfying employees it is important to treat them in
an equal manner. So, making companies aware about importance of equality and diversity this
topic has been chosen.
Research problem
Developing research is not an easy task as researcher has to follow several steps in a
systematic manner. If researcher skips one of the step than it creates several problem which
include: Delay in the submission of project, increasing cost etc. There are several other factors
which can also create problem in developing research and can also become the reason of poor
quality of projects such as lack of skilled workforce and financial resources (Ozeren and Aydin,
2016).
Project management plan including time, resources, cost and quality
Project management is one of the important part of research. It allows researcher in
estimating cost, time and all resources which will be required to complete all steps.
Quality: Quality is one of the main important elements of project management plan
which makes scholar aware about the importance of managing quality and ways of managing it.
As per this plan, it is important for scholar to manage quality of research in order to improve

performance.
Cost: It is other important element whose estimation allow researcher in completing
research with quality and managing cost. For completing this research, scholar estimates cost of
approximate £40,000. With the help of this cost it can also analyze available finance resources as
well as appropriate sources from which it can take help.
Communication: Communication means choosing ways of interacting with all people

capabilities. Therefore, it can be used the Gantt chart that representing the flow of multiple steps
in visualize manner. The overall project has been completed in 20 weeks. In each week, it can be
performed the different tasks effectively and efficiently.
Risk: As per analysis, it can be identified the different type of risk such as financial risk,
equipment and resource risk (Butt, Naaranoja and Savolainen, 2016). These are important risk
that affects on the entire project so as needed to implement an effective strategic that control or
maintain risk in proper manner. During project execution, it should be require to consider all
risks those are harmful for project completion. It will generate as barrier or obstacle within
different processes.
Resources: It is an essential resource required for project completion. It mainly including
equipment, software and hardware requirement, CRM, computer system etc. these are essential
that record large amount of data within system (Butt, Naaranoja and Savolainen, 2016).

solution. In most of cases, there are two type of research type such as Qualitative and
Quantitative research type.
Qualitative research is basically describing the way to resolve any issue within project by
using existing theories (Fletcher, 2017). Generally, it mainly include the non-numerical data
during data interpretation. Furthermore, Quantitative method is based on the mathematical value
which providing the better solution or output.
In this research study, investigation has chosen the qualitative method that help for
collecting large amount data in regards of research project. The scholar has chosen method on
the basis of nature or project where how it can easily deals with different result or output.
Research philosophy: it is a type of systematic process that directly related to belief,
thoughts and assumption (Taherdoost, 2016). It can be require the reliable knowledge about the
case study. Investigator obtain the more knowledge through study objectives in order to
categorise into specific manner. There are four type of research philosophy. It involves
pragmatism, realism, intepretivism and positivism.
The scholar has chosen intepretivism philosophy that help for interpretation with various
components or elements which applicable in the research project (Kumar, 2019). It also
integrated with the human being for identifying their interest towards the case study. It is an
essential thing that require to social participation. In order to maintain the position through
analysis.
Research design: it is a method which set of different procedures for purpose research
analyzing. Afterwards, it also collecting the data or information in step by step manner. It is
important part of project which can easily frame entire work into single set (Jekel and et.al.,
2019). In order to resolve the problem within project. There are two ways divided such as
exploratory and conclusive design.

The scholar has chosen inductive approach which is based on the observation, theories. In
order to determine the proper result. In most of cases, it mainly describing the way to relate store
data with research analysis. In this way, it support for developing relationship.
Data collection method: it refer as process or technique for data collection so that it is the
most common approach, applicable in the research case study (Jekel and et.al., 2019. It provide a
method for collecting large amount of information which directly related to the project. It can be
classified into two way: primary as well as secondary data collection.
The scholar has chosen primary data collection technique for collecting suitable data from
authenticate sources. Researcher has been collected data by using Questionnaires.
Sampling: it is way of technique for selecting an appropriate participate those are
performing different task. Each one has assigned the specific task where they can performed in
proper manner (Jekel and et.al., 2019. It is necessary thing that choose member within large

technique in the participate selection. The sample Size is 30 employees.
