Hallmark events:This events is organised at large scale and also it carries
wider size of population. It includes fairs, sports games which is organised at
international level. The major events which carries the name of hallmark events
is the Olympics which is carried worldwide (Global events, 2012). The size is not
fixed for this events but to organises such events, it requires large space so that
visitors can enjoy the event. It can be organised either on regular bases or on
one off bases which provides publicity to the events organiser.
Mega events: This events is considered to be life memorable events which is
organised as one time. It covers with high range of security and also it includes
such events which is organised by special authority (Cui and Kump, 2015). This
events is organised by wider size and this events is covered by high level of
media.
Diversity of global events is also examined on the bases of formation or contents:
Cultural events: This event is mainly organised on the bases of specific culture
such as any occasion or music events or art exhibition (Van Dijk, 2019). This events
is organised to gather relatives, family members or any person to celebrate the

Business events: This events is mainly organised by company in respect of
raising important decision such as the matter relating to expansion or launching
of new products or conducting any professional meeting.
Mobile versus place events: If the company want to convey their thoughts and
ideas to other members of companies staying at different place, they uses the
mobile services in which video conferencing is the best methods. Though this
method they share their events and also they can go live to share their details.
Structure and components of the events Industry:
The event industry is determined on the bases of all types of events which can
be in form of large size to small breakfast conference for business meeting ( Viehoff and
Poynter, 2016). The structure and component of events includes the following:
1. Events organisation: Event is organised on the bases of types of events and for
that following ideas is to be interpreted so that it organises with unique and
different concept. In this the budgets is prepared from zero based and as per the
given activities the budgets are to be estimated (Spracklen and Lamond, 2016). This
is the main aspects of the events organisation to target the audiences and
prepare the budgets.
2. Event management companies: It includes proper planning and coordination to
organise the events. Companies had to manage various activities which is the
basic priority to organise the events such catering service, proper communication
with the owners of the events, coordination with the parking department and also
prepare emergency plans.
3. Venues: It includes the proper place where the events is organised and also
there are various sizes of places as per the demand of events ( Liu and Huang,
2017). For sports event, the venue is bigger in size, for art exhibition the venue is
of small place. Similarly as per the size of events, the venue is decided.
4. Events Industry: In this, event planner organise the events as per the demand
raised. In case of business meeting which is organise globally, they set the
proper arrangement regarding which they communicate their ideas and thoughts
easily. In this sector the competition level is high.

From the above discussion it is identified that different role of events in society
and also it organised as per the nature of events (Ye, Kobayashi and Murakawa, 2017). In
case of musician, they organise their concert worldwide in such perspective they need
different venue and places to organise the events. For that proper planning and
coordination is to be conducted to determined the strategies used in organising the
events.
P2 & M1 Factors that influences the development of events globally
As various factors are to be identified in respective of development of events
globally as firstly the influences arises in respect of increasing the value and
contribution to events by increasing the global economy (Fischer and Knutti, 2015). As if the
events are to be organised globally it results in gaining more profits and also increases
the economy of the country. As events are mainly organised to increases the reputation
and also if they bring unique concept it result in attracting large number of population.
By this procedure it resulting in influencing the events industry in positive manner.
The another factor which influences the development of events is relating to
demand and motivation which occurs from different types of events. As in case of
musician, the demand occurs in respect of bringing innovative song which is different for
the different events. In such cases to bring new concept in that events, the demand is
raised and also various competitors came across for this perspective (Liu and Huang,
2017). The another factor which resulting in development of events is relating to
concentrating more on socio cultural development. This is mainly need to develop the
interest of the individual and also determines their interest in which they are familiar to
watch the events. If the events is organised at large scale in that case culture is to be
maintained in respect of language which is easily understands by every person. In case
of Olympics, which is live events is to be watched worldwide. Thus, its commentary is to
be done on all languages, so that it created more interest among people towards such
events.
By evaluating the techniques which is used in context of influencing the
development of event globally as demand is raised so that it motivates event planner to
organise more events and also bring innovating in existing events (Viehoff and Poynter,
2016). As people mainly compare the events from the existing events and if they find

unique concept, they planned to attend such events. Events planner also get
opportunities in form of global expansion. They are travelling to different countries to
promote their business. By this opportunity they are grabbing the latest trends which is
emerging in global market and also they can identify the needs of the customer.
P3 Examining the value, legacy and impact of global events on environment
The impact of global events in environment may be examined on the bases of
short term and long term perspective. Due to organising the events globally, it arises in
form of positive and negative aspects. It carries the following perspective such as in
case of social impact, the positive impact arises in form of maintaining the custom and
values at the time of organising the events. The customs are maintained in form of
praying for ancestors before starting any events in such perspective they are regaining
the memories of their god (Borgers and Heemels, 2015). The negative impact arises in case
of culture as every person had different caste and culture and thus, it is difficulty to
praise every ancestors in such case it creates issue in organising the events with
successful ratio.
At the time of organising the events, the positive impact of culture arises in
respect of language, as most of the hallmark events organises by having different
language. In this, the commentary is to be taken care, so that it can be addressed to
every person and they are voidable to present their views.
In respect of organising the events physically and environmentally, the positive
impact arises in case of having chances to expand events in different countries which
results in increasing the economy (Ogg, 2015). By organising events it also provides
chances to increase employment and most of the person get opportunity to sustain their
life by joining that events as a voluntary. The negative impact arises in case of having
the overpopulation at that place and also it affects environment badly in respect of
pollution which affecting the natural resources such as air, water, land, soil etc. As by
organising the larger scale of events resulting in facing more issue in handling
population which also damages the natural resources. Thus, it resulting in facing
negative impact on organising the events.
In respect of positive impact arises in form of political aspects is relating to
government norms. As every country had different policies which the events company is

bound to follow it without any restrictions (Sirunyan and CMS collaboration, 2017). Thus,
through this perspective, the impact arises in respect of positive aspect and they work
according to the set norms and instructions. The negative aspects arises in case of
following the government norms and if they breach any of the rules, it resulting in
causing heavy penalty. They can be also penalised in form of heavy compensation.
The legacy in events is to be maintained in form of maintaining sustainability in
events and bring positive aspects on imposing events for longer term perspective.
Legacy event is also to be managed in form of organising the event on regular bases
(Judea and Strube, 2016). Through this perspective, it results in gaining the profits in local,
national and global levels. Cultural diversity helps in identifying the different culture of
the people and this can be examined by organising the events as per their own areas.
In respect of organising the event locally it results in not gaining much benefits, in
respect of organising the national event it also gain much profits and enhances
economy. To organises the events at global level it provides the chances to balance the
economy of the country and also gain more profit.
P4 Management strategies used in supporting the global events
London’s ExCeL Exhibition Centre uses various management strategies to
support the global events which can be identified as follows such as by applying the
Corporate environmental management model. In this model they mainly provides
guidance to the private sector regarding managing the natural resources and utilizing
the needs in accurate manner. By implementing this model, they can identify the new
capabilities which is emerged in global markets and also make different strategies to
achieve the objectives within the stipulated time (Behera and Bandyopadhyay, 2016). It helps
in examining the competitive strategy which is used by competitors in organising the
events in better manner. By choosing this strategy, they can support the global events
and also track the competitors working to bring changes in their existing working
techniques.
The another management technique which is used in support of global events is
relating to balance score card. In this, they target the objective which is to be achieved
and after accomplishing its objective it is to be compared with its actual actions which
they undertake. In respect of organising the event, firstly its budget is to be determined
Document Page
and than set some norms through which its missions and mission is to be
accomplished. In such perspective, it guided event planner to make appropriate
planning and implement it with proper executive so that effective results are to be
determined. The role of government is strict if the environment is affected by organising
the events (Van Dijk, 2019). As every country had their own polices and they make certain
norms regarding organising the events. The events carries huge number of pollution
and through over population it results in overcrowding of such places. Through this
aspect it results in affecting the natural resources. In respective of such polices,
government make norms regarding the event and they are bound to follow it without any
default.
TASK 2 Impact of macro environment on global events industry and
their influences in decision making
Covered under ppt
CONCLUSION
From the above study it had been concluded that the event has most important
part of human life. Its management has important for managing event and its growth at
market place. It had been concluded that the different types of event has organized at
this centre in effective manner. Report had covered by the local and community events
or its structure role in event. Demand, motivation and socio-cultural development factors
has affect to business and its growth factors. Study had been shows the negative and
positive impact of long and short term events on global event. There has various
responsibilities of manager to meet different stakeholder interest and expectations. On
the other side, management techniques has helped to manage event. With the help of
PESTAL framework, understand the negative and positive impact of political,
technological, legal and social factors. SWOT analysis helped to take decision for
planning event by knowing internal strength and weakness or external opportunity and
threats.
