Different issues that create an impact over the company in order to manage diversity
at work place. Following are the key issues in managing diversity.
Cultural complexity:
This is a key issues attached with managing diversity at work place. Different cultures
carry different values and beliefs which create difference between employees at work place.
Cultural complexity creates many issues in the company like communication barrier in
between employees at organisation.
Generational Gap:
Generation gap is defined as a difference among opinions betweeen one genration to
other in terms of politics, beliefs, values, behaviours and opinions among older genertion to
younger. It has been evaluated that genertaion gap lead towards conflicts among views and
perceptions that can further affect end results. Thus, it becomes essential for an organisation
to effectively manage issue of genertational gap within organisation workplace structure with
the help of multi-generational strategy. Further it has been evalutated that by finding common
ground this issue can be effectively overcome. In addition to this as to effectively manage
genration gap in workplace structure it is essential for an organisation to have different types
of communication channels such as face-to-face meetings, phone calls, emails and texting. As
it has been evaluated thet workers of older generation mainly prefers face-to-face
conversation or phone calls. While on the other hand, if it is talked about younger generation
employees, they prefers texting or emailing. With the help of this entity can effectively
maintain positive relationship in workplace structure along with collaborative environment
that increases productivity.
Gender - male/female differences:
It is also one of the common issue which is facing by many organisations. In this
males and females members are alloted with different roles and responsibilities even if
females are having same skill and qualification. In order to overcome this issue it is essential
for entity to make sure that they provide equal opportunity for growth and development to
male and female workers.
