The report is based on the development of a diversity policy and the manner in which it can be
used to ensure that procedures and policies related to diversity be formulated in a proper manner
Diversity facts and figures
Diversity can help in the increase of productivity in an organisation. For example in a company,
that has multiple people belonging to different casts. The diversity helps in increase in productivity as
well as ensures that development of a proper teamwork within an organisation. For the Australian
population 26% of the people were born overseas and 20% had a parent born overseas. Aboriginal
make up about 2.5% of the population. The religion followed is Christianity. Disability is rare among
these people; however, being born with a frozen leg can be seen as a common form of disability
Impacts of Diversity
The benefits that can be received from diversity at the workplace include additional support,
proper cultural tolerance, and increase in productivity as well as high rate employment rate. For the
Australian accounting system, the diversity can have benefit since it can create a positive impact in
trying to divide the job responsibilities among the people.
