INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this essay is to provide a detailed review about the book “The Divine
Matrix” by Gregg Braden. This book is based on power of perception and the connection
between that energy and creation (Baik, 2018). The author seeks to explain to people that there is
an energy which makes certain things to happen. It is the same energy which connects sciences,
old and modern, freedom of mankind to create things and divinity. When new discoveries
happen in the world it happens due to the presence of some kind of power. Also, the book talks
about heavenly substances which surround us in relation to the past, present and the future. In
this book, twenty keys of conscious creation have been discussed. Thus, a thorough discussion
related to the contents of this book and the message it wants to give will be discussed as a part of
this essay.
MAIN BODY
Realizing the heavenly pattern
According to Braden, there is a heavenly energy which connects different substances in
this world. This pattern has been made by god himself. According to the book, God has created
the world and has made man to control it. Man has to act according to the will of god. The
heavenly pattern of energy helps in interaction and various other activities which take place in
this world.
The act of focusing on our consciousness is an act of creation (Bouse, 2017). This is so
because idea of creation begins with the mind itself. Braden focuses on brain’s ability to filter
out useful information from various facts. This leads to creation of various ideas in the human
brain. He seeks to explain that many of these ideas can be quite useful for the world. He relates
science to the perception. He states that in old days, some of the people had the power to make
unique things happen. For example- They would make rain fall in case of requirement. Using
these powers, our ancestors were able to talk to animals and the animals used to obey them.
Thus, according to Braden miraculous things used to happen in the past and there are
incidences of our ancestors being able to perform them (Drozdek, 2016). This can be due to the
heavenly powers which God had given them. They put these powers to good use to help
themselves and others in the times of need and used these powers in the right manner. The
author states that as we enter into planetary shifts it would lead to continuous reminders of
placing our attention wherever required.
Imagination and reality
Imagination is a capacity to form mental images, sensations and representations without
the use of senses and is commonly associated with creativity (Imagination, 2015). The human

mind has a unique power to be very imaginative. Using this power of imagination, human beings
can perform different types of actions and act according to the demands of the situation. Thus
this is a gift which God has given to the human beings to imagine and think whenever required.
Using this unique ability, human beings are able to be successful in dealing with different types
of situations and circumstances. The human mind can connect with the outside world and this
helps it in imagination. Leading scientists in the world use this ability to create something new
and bring new inventions into reality which can turn out to be highly useful for other human
beings.
Reality means something which is existent in the system as opposed to imaginations
(D'Costa, 2018). Imagination and reality are two different elements which shape living and
develop the thinking differentiating one individual from another. Braden talks extensively about
reality in his book. According to him, it is the imagination which leads to the creation of reality
and provokes passion within an individual. The author connects imagination and reality with a
bridge and states that both of them are quite essential from the point of view of an individual.
Therefore he uses high-level of imagination in stating that both of them are required for an
individual and in the world created by god.
The author states that the mind is joined to the outer world and has inner feelings as well.
Thus according to the author once something is connected it always stays as connected. Thus, the
soul and body are connected. For human beings, it is necessary that they use both reality as well
as imagination. Using both of them they can create the ideas that can result in total
transformation of the world. This will benefit the world in different types of ways.
Power to create
According to Braden, human beings are blessed with the ability to create the different
types of changes they choose (Fielding, 2016). Thus they can use this ability since childhood to
imagine certain things which they can make to happen. Thus the author states that once we
dream of something and wish to make it happen we can concentrate the whole of our energies for
doing so. This will allow extraordinary things to happen.
Human beings are also blessed with a healing power. They can use this power to heal
themselves of different issues which they face which can be physical, emotional etc. Using this
power, some of the individuals solve the problems and issues of other people and make the best
use of their abilities so that they can be helpful towards others. By solving the problems and
issues of others human beings can feel satisfied that they have used their abilities and potential to
a great extent possible.
Also, these powers have the ability to make the things happen as and when required
(Garcia‐Rodriguez and et.al., 2016). Therefore, it is required that human beings put their
imagination to a good use to be creative and use healing abilities effectively to help other people.
Thus for us both of these powers are of great use and we have to use them judicially to help

others in the time of their need and requirement and we must not make use of power for doing
something which is wrong according to our morals. This will enable us to develop more
humanity, kindness and caring nature within ourselves. Concentration of our full energies
towards creation of something and use of healing powers in order to help someone creates a web
of divine energy within the system of the world and can be counted in our good deeds.
Awareness
Awareness refers to acquiring of knowledge or perception about something which can
happen. According to Braden, human beings are sources of incredible energy which can make
various things happen. Thus according to him all that is required is that we must be aware about
our energy. When we are aware about our level of energy we can make those things happen
which are deemed to be impossible.
In this way we can make use of energy inside us to do good deeds and help others in the
time of need (Grither and et.al., 2018). With this awareness, many of the problems and issues
persisting with the world can be resolved quite easily. Therefore it is required on our part that we
are able to realize the potential of the internal energies inside us and make the best use of them
with full potential.
Internal energies can be used to create something which is not present in the divine
matrix (Halivni, 2019). These can lead towards a new creation which can be quite helpful for
other human beings. Thus according to author the use of internal energies should be done to
create something which is new. For this higher level of knowledge is required. It is so because
using knowledge channelization of internal energies can be done in order to imagine and create
something which can be useful for other people. It is the natural ability bestowed on us by God
himself. Thus it is up to human beings to use this ability effectively and help others. Once we
realize that our internal energies can be used to do anything then there is nothing in this world
which is impossible for us to aim and achieve. Thus, we can set various tasks, goals and
objectives for us to achieve in the future and can develop the right techniques for their
achievement. If we are able to achieve, it will give us a sense of high satisfaction in the future.
The satisfaction will arise as we would be able to perform those tasks which were earlier deemed
to be impossible to achieve but if we put sustained efforts and concentrate with our full potential
we will be able to achieve them.
Choice of human beings
It is the choice of human beings whether they choose to rely upon reality or imagination
(Jeong, 2016). Both of them are necessary for them. Imagination is required in certain
circumstances and the factors associated with reality are also required to be seen in other
situations. Thus according to them we need to see how we will create a balance between both of
them.

According to Braden, certain circumstances come when imagination needs to be chosen.
It is so because in these situations imaginative thinking and taking of the right action is required.
One has to be creative and think about the consequences his actions will bring. Also, one needs
to be sure before taking an action which cannot be reversed can have a deep impact. Thus the
author states that choice matters a lot while taking of certain decisions and therefore it becomes
highly necessary to be aware about the consequences.
Like imagination, sometimes reality also needs to be given preference (Jerdack and et.al.,
2018). In certain situations, it is required that a person acts in a real and practical manner. This is
so because many circumstances required being real rather than being imaginative in thinking.
This will lead to taking of right decisions in the context of the situation itself. Also, being
practical enables a person to analyze the various alternative routes than can be taken for solving
an issue or a problem. This will ensure that a person takes the right action so that situation can be
handled effectively. Thus according to the author reality is a part of the divine matrix which has
been created by god himself. Therefore it is required that we are real in our approach sometimes
to solve situations.
Importance of feelings
Feelings refer to the physical or mental emotions which a human being has for a
particular period of time (Martinez, 2017). They are quite important for humans. They are of
different types and differ in various individuals. Some of them are good and some of them are
bad.
According to Braden, positive feelings need to be initiated in order to speak to the divine
matrix. A clear conscience is required to attain positive feelings. There must be no negativity in
one’s mind and there should be no trace of ego, jealously and various other negative emotions
that are a part of this world. Once the conscience is clear and positivity has been achieved in
one’s mind then it will allow direct connection with the divine forces.
By connecting with the divine forces, direct message can be transmitted in the divine
matrix. For connecting with god a pure soul is required. It is essential that all of the impurities in
our mind are removed. Once these impurities are removed a direct connection can be established
with the god.
According to author, if a person has positive feelings before he sets out on something and
feels that he will accomplish the task than it creates positive vibrations to start with (McCann and
Bechsgaard, 2017). If the work is done with sustained efforts towards achievement of task and
results then it can positively influence the person. With this approach, he will be able to make
more efforts with full potential to realize what he had set out to achieve. Thus, the author states
that working with positive feelings gives advantage at the start itself and thus the task can be
successfully accomplished. Keeping faith in the divine power which operates in the divine matrix
is essential as it is through faith that prayers are answered by god.

Braden states that we must choose to become what we choose to experience (Pereira,
2016). We are not bound by the laws of physics as we know them today.
20 keys of conscious creation
According to Braden, there are 20 keys of conscious creation. These keys are as follows-
Key 1: The Divine Matrix is like a container which holds the universe. It acts like a
bridge between all things and is the mirror which shows us what we have created.
Key 2: Everything in this world is connected to everything else.
Key 3: If we need to tap the force of universe we have to see ourselves as a part of world
rather than separating from it.
Key 4: Once something is joined it is always connected regardless of whether it is
physically linked or not.
Key 5: The act of focusing our consciousness is an act of creation.
Key 6: We have all the power we need to create all the changes we choose.
Key 7: The focus of our awareness becomes the reality of world.
Key 8: To simply say that we choose a new reality is not enough.
Key 9: Feeling is the language which can be used to speak to the Divine Matrix. Feel as
though your goal has been accomplished and prayer has been answered.
Key 10: Feelings must be without ego and judgment (Roschger and et.al., 2019).
Key 11: We must become in our lives what we choose to experience as our world.
Key 12: We are not bound by laws of physics as we know them today.
Key 13: In a holographic “something”, every piece of something mirrors the whole
everything.
Key 14: The universally connected hologram of consciousness promises that the instant
we create our good wishes and prayers they are already received at their destination.
Key 15: Through the hologram of consciousness, a little change in our lives is mirrored
everywhere in our world.
Key 16: The minimum number of people required to “jump-start” a change in
consciousness is the square root of one percent of a population.

Key 17: The Divine Matrix serves as a mirror in our world of the relationships that we
create in our beliefs.
Key 18: The root of our “negative” experiences may be reduced to one of the three
universal fears: abandonment, low self-worth or lack of trust.
Key 19: Our true beliefs are mirrored in our most intimate relationships. The five most
ancient relationships are:
The First Mirror: Reflections of the Moment.
The Second Mirror: Reflections of What We Judge in the Moment.
The Third Mirror: Reflections of What We’ve Lost, Given Away or Had Taken from us
The Fourth Mirror: Reflections of Our Dark Night of the Soul
The Fifth Mirror: Reflections of Our Greatest Act of Compassion
Key 20: We must become in our lives the very things that we choose to experience in our
world (Scott, 2016).
Messages from the book
The book gives out strong messages to the readers. In it, author talks about the divine
network which has been created by god and how we are part of it. The book tells us to take
decisions consciously without any fear. It tells us to use our imagination in some circumstances
and be real and practical in other circumstances. It states that there is a bridge which connects
imagination with reality.
The divine network influences our lives in many ways. Our actions which we take have
certain consequences associated with them. We must be aware about these consequences and
must take the actions very carefully. Thus decisions certainly have an impact on our lives and
therefore they are required to be taken with care.
The author wishes to say that we need to have positive feelings and must not include
negativity in our mindset to connect with god. For doing this, a pure heart is needed which is not
full of ego, jealously and various other worldly feelings. With a pure heart and good intentions it
is possible to establish a connection with god.
Sometimes decisions have to be taken between what is considered as morally right and
morally wrong. A person must take a decision which is morally right. Further, feelings are quite
important before setting out on a particular task. According to Braden, if a person sets out to
accomplish a task and has positive feelings that he will achieve it in any case then this will create
a positive mindset. Creation of a positive mindset will lead to concentration of energies and
efforts in one direction and achieving the desired results.

Thus the book gives a message that humans need to realize the heavenly pattern which
has been created by god himself. One must be imaginative and also real and practical depending
upon the circumstances. The changes which we are choosing must be chosen carefully. The book
tells us to be aware about internal energies which we have. It tells us to make choices carefully
between imagination and reality. The book gives a message to be positive so that an inner
connection can be established with god. Also it gives out 20 keys of conscious creation which
can be used for understanding the divine network.
CONCLUSION
From the above essay, it can be concluded that divine network has been created by god
himself. There is a heavenly pattern which we as human beings need to understand. Imagination
and reality are used wherever the need to use them arises. We have the power to create changes
which we want to bring. There is so much internal energy in us that we need to be aware about
and must use it whenever required. Choices matter a lot while taking a decision to be either
imaginative or real and practical depending upon the context of the situation. Positive feelings
are important to achieve a particular task. There are 20 keys of conscious creation. The book
gives out various messages which can be adopted by us. If we are able to understand the
messages given by the book then it will lead to understanding of the divine network.
