Individual reflection
In reflection to the given case and considering the facts and events of this dramatic event , my
opinion on this case in simple sense is that, Djokovic was made realise irrespective of its stature
at international level that law is equal for everybody. However it seems that he was compelled
unjustly and arbitrarily to follow the rules of the land. If I assume myself at the place of
Djokovic I could clearly sense the injustice, because what I believe that every human being
posses a natural capacity to feel injustice and in the same way he would have felt at the time
when all such ruckus created and the administration tried to corner him only on grounds of his
vaccination status. As per the facts and evidence he was exempted form vaccination by the tennis
authorities, meaning thereby is that the Australian tennis authority allowed him to participate in
the tournament titled as Australian open with an medical exemptions from taking jabs and on the
other side border officials at the airport tried to obstruct him and confined him in a quarantine
hotel. This clearly reflects the arbitrary conduct of the authorities to deprive him from his rights
and freedom. I would not support such an act where a man has to plead without any cause. The
player had declared and submitted all the relevant information and complied with the procedures
prior to his visit, things get worse only after his arrival at the airport, to me it seems that border
officials at the airport had made their mind to cancel his visa prior to his arrival on grounds of
federal rules. The crux of the case is that the border officials tried to embarrassed and insulted
the world no 1 Serbian tennis star. The justice administration also rejects the judicial review
against the cancellation of his visa and imposed penalty and ordered him to deport from the land.
This types of cases motivates me to cultivate empathy towards the people who are subject to
oppression. Djokovik did plead and fight for his own cause. He advocated and obeyed just laws
legally and morally. From my point of view every one should obey and follow just laws, in
reverse to it one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust law and Djokovic respected the
ruling of the court and corporate with authorities shows his gentleness and a commitment to
respond to injustice. My last saying on this study is that I agree that law does not excuse, whether
such law is just or unjust and to me an unjust law is no law at all.
My preparation on this case developed through research and critical thinking along with the
discussions and arguments. Throughout the research and study on this event I learned and felt
how would it feel when such an incident happens to anyone. Well this was the case of world No
