drugs or alcohol or other common exercises. According to Stanley (2011), Domestic violence is
a considered as a pernicious and prevalent on childhood. There are almost a quarter of young
adults who are suffering from such domestic violence. It can be due to separation from the
perpetrator, separated women are the most vulnerable to domestic violence. According to the
recent research, it has been find out that most of the young people are facing such violence due

What are the negative impact of domestic violence on Children‘s self-esteem
in Wembley?
According to AWAIC-Abued Women’s Aid in crisis, domestic violence has largely
adversely impact on the self-esteem of children which are given as under:
Imitation: Children often imitate either when it’s helping around the house or learning to
deal with problems through violence. Generational exchange of rough conduct and
enthusiastic reliance on others is normal; therefore kids discover that violence is a
satisfactory conduct and a fundamental piece of intimate relationships. Kids may end up
harsh grown-ups, or accept domination and control as a normal part of intimate
relationships. Youngsters brought up in a harsh situation might be abused as grown-ups
(Hales and et. al., 2016).
Emotional Disorders: Low confidence and low certainty regularly result when kids can't
deal with life circumstances. Fears, gloom, stress disorders, stammering, a sleeping
disorder, weakened fixation, trouble in school, psychosomatic ailments, and so forth., can
be the consequence of the turbulent/oppressive home condition and regularly go
unattended to on the grounds that the parent(s) is/are overpowered by their very own
necessities and survival.
Lack of trust: Youngsters with erratic or rough guardians never know whether they will
be emotionally or physically disregarded or whether they will get an overflowing of
warmth as the abuser activities to accommodate the harsh conduct. In such a disordered
domain, kids don't know whom to trust or when to trust.

Build calm and stable environment: Children presented to injury might be continually
checking for potential dangers. A calm environment with lower lighting and agreeable
furniture can enable them to feel safe, as can recognizing what's in store. "At the point
when kids comprehend what's in store one minute or one day to the following it causes
them feel grounded and safe," McConnico says.
METHODOLOGY AND DATA ANALYSIS
Every research project needed a suitable and appropriate specification of study. For this,
it is important for researcher to consider all aims and objectives of research in order to formulate
hypothesis on that. The scope of this project is wider as it is based on the impact of domestic
violence on children’s self esteem in Wembley. To properly evaluate the impact, the researcher
need to use various methods in order to gather accurate and relevant information that will be
useful to achieve a valid conclusion (Obeidat, Tarhini and Aqqad, 2016).
Research Philosophy
In research, two types of philosophies are generally used which are the interpretivist
research philosophy or the positivist research philosophy. These two are mostly used in
conducting the research but when these two does not fit the requirement and needs of research,
then pragmatist research philosophy is used. The positivism research philosophy based on
experience which is a valid source of knowledge. This philosophy provides the assumptions

which can be perceived as the variations in the action of people or the relationship among the
individuals.
Research Approach
There are two approaches which are used in a research which are inductive and deductive
approach. The deductive research approach is used for providing a comprehensive understanding
of the impact of domestic violence on self-esteem of children by using empirical data. In this
research, the deductive approach will provide the observations which are needed for making the
assumptions in order to address the objectives of the study. This is done with the help of primary
research for preparing a questionnaire for addressing the issues of this investigation. The second
approach is inductive approach which relies on subjectivity for evaluating the observations.
Data Collection Method
There are two main methods for data collection which are primary and secondary data
collection. The primary data collection is used for collecting the required data of research by
using primary sources such as questionnaire, survey, interview etc. Whereas in secondary
research, the data is gathered mainly from online sources, books, journals, newspapers articles
etc. Primary data collection method is mainly used in this investigation for getting the feedback
from the sample respondents. The sample respondents are provided with Questionnaire which is
considered as an effective and reliable tool. It assist researcher to know about the actual
perception and behaviour of people towards the topic of the research. It consumes less cost and
efforts due to which preferably taken to collect information.
Sampling Technique
The survey questionnaire was developed after determining the questions in terms of
understanding and relevancy. The questionnaire was developed for determining the views and
opinions of the respondents to whom the questionnaire will be provided. In initial phase, the
questionnaire was provided to some respondents only. From the results and feedback obtained
from these test sample, the questionnaire was reconstructed. In research sampling, this study
used a convenience sampling approach. The main reason behind choosing this convenience
sampling approach is that it provides the simple and quick approach for identifying the potential
respondents of the primary research. For this study, the taken sampling size is 50 respondents.
The selected sampling respondents for the questionnaire are the family and friends who are

currently living in the Wembley. The questionnaire will be sent by online platforms or by post to
these relatives and friends.
Data Presentation and Analysis:
Data presentation and analysis is an integral part of research which is essential to utilise
the raw or collected data properly by processing it in information. Data analysis is useful fir in
interpreting the data for answering the research question. Data analysis process starts with the
data collection then processing and sorting of data. The data presentation or analytic tool used in
this research is thematic analysis. Thematic analysis is one of the commonly used analysis in the
qualitative type of research. As this research is of qualitative in nature, so the thematic is used as
this analysis is focused on pinpointing, examining, and recording patterns or themes in the
collected data. Themes describes the patterns and phenomenon in all over the data associated
with the questions.
Reliability and Validity
The reliability of this taken study is based on the taken survey questionnaire. This
questionnaire was developed and revised after getting the feedback from the testing sample
whom the questionnaire was provided fore testing the understanding and validity of the
questionnaire. Through this revised questionnaire, more accurate and reliable data can be
gathered using the respondents. In the questionnaire, close-ended questionnaire are included for
limiting the responses of the sample respondents. The questionnaire can be considered as reliable
as the results are based on the perception of the people.
ETHICAL ISSUES
In this taken research, several ethical issues are faced by the researcher as this study is
based on primary research. The researcher has applied the research ethics for ensuring that the
results which will be produced in the end will be relevant and reliable. The principles of research
ethics which are used in this research report are informed consent, anonymity and
confidentiality. The informed consent provides the understanding of the research objectives to
the respondents of primary research so that the respondents can opt in or out any time during the
research. The anonymity principles states that the detail or information of the participant of the
primary research must not be included in the research or the result of the research. The principle
of confidentiality states that the results of the research can be shared to the stakeholders of the
research only.

WORK PLAN
There are two approaches of time which are used in this research. These are the Gantt
chart and work breakdown structure. Through the Gantt chart, the researcher can determine the
starting and executing time period for conducting the research. Whereas the work breakdown
structure allows the researcher to split the project in small sections which can be executed in
effective and efficient manner. Before deciding to conduct research, the researcher has allot time
for each research activity so as to determine the total time required to carry out an effective
research. For this purpose, the researcher has uses methods and tools to identify the time required
in performing all research activities. Such methods includes Gantt chart, work breakdown
structure etc. It can be further described as under:
Gantt Chart: It was invented by Henry L. Gantt in 1917, who was an American engineer
and social scientist. It is a type of bar chart which is used as a production control tool. It helps
researcher to use this chart as an important tool for suitable planning, coordinating and
evaluating specific task which are connected with a project. In other words it is a presentation
which displays all activities and their progress in a project. It evaluates the performance of the
workers engaged in performing out different research activities in a given time frame which will
helpful for achievement of goals in time. By using such kinds of tools, it makes easy for
researcher to complete research within limited time period with best outcomes (Stanley, 2011).
Work breakdown structure: It is a relationship between various activities for completing
a project. In other words it is divided in small parts for execute a project in an efficient way. It is
a framework which helps to researcher in estimation of cost and creates a schedule for working.
It will be assistive for researcher. Because of this, the researcher is able to know about the results
from different activities which will help government in Wembley to manage their current
policies and make some changes to achieve objectives of firm in given time.
