number of people such as academics, policy makers, and criminal justice experts pays
attention to increasing number of cases of domestic violations in all over the world. The
material feminist theory and its dominant approaches is the another reason that helps to the
conceptualising the domestic violence (Grabe, 2018). Many authors and social workers are
not satisfied with the traditional approach of society towards women. However, the liberal
feminism type of points in the feminist theory focuses on the disparity in social surroundings
as the basis for the women’s domination. The feminist theory is even trying to establish
equality between men and women, but somewhere it is failed to create this type of mentality
in society. It is the main reason behind selecting the thesis topic (Wendt, 2016).
There are number of words use in feminist theory to articulate the gendered violence
including intimate partner violence, gender based violence, domestic violence, violation
against the women etc. The feminist theory focuses on physical and sexual violence and
shows various guidelines to avoid the domestic women violations from the society. Although
the feminist theory try to support the women in the society and provide them equal rights but
the implementations of its suggestion still under practice and not entirely adopted by the
society. The feminist theory also addresses the problem of gender inequalities in the society
(Barnett, Sligar, and Wang, 2018). The gender-based violence (GVD) is a common issue in
the society and it has been also addressed in the feminist theory. However, the major
drawbacks of feminist theory related to domestic violations are its loosed framed definitions
that do not represent the sound theory (Solanki and Gangoli, 2016). However, there is no
theoretical basis for describing the domestic violations in the feminist theory. Instead of this,
the definitions and explanations related to women violations widen the gap between females
and males, which further leads to other problematic issues related to gender roles and
identities. However, the feminist theory also explains that which type of power and privilege
a woman may have and how she can exercise her power to avoid the domestic violence in her
house or with his husband or other family members (Bunch, 2018).
Conclusion
In conclusion, there are so many bad consequences of domestic women violations on the
women’s mental and physical health. The domestic women violations not only affect the
health of women rather it also affects the health of children as well. However, the feminist
theory provides the equality in gender and helps to understand the different situation behind
the domestic violations, but it also leads to the several other domestic women violation issues
