Domestic violence is a prevalent issue in the contemporary society. Although it
affects both male and female members of the society, it mainly affects women and children.
Ending of domestic violence is an agenda that I am greatly interested in. I would like to see a
world that is free of domestic violence. I believe that it is possible to for these cases to be
reduced significantly or even eradicated. Every human being on earth has a right to be
protected and to live a life free of any form of violence. While there are various efforts to end
the domestic violence, it still persists in the modern days. There are both governmental and
non-governmental efforts to bring domestic violence to an end. Various laws have also been
enacted for the same. A movie about domestic violence could help offer important lessons on
domestic violence and the need to embrace peace. A movie has the potential of reaching
many people across the globe which may impact people’s beliefs about domestic violence. It
is said that knowledge has the potential of influencing an individual’s attitude towards some
behaviour. Once the attitude is influenced in a positive way, there is a high likelihood of
positive behaviour change. Therefore, if a movie offers education on domestic violence, there
is a great potential for people to change any negative behaviour that they may have when it
comes to domestic violence. Consequently, the physical and psychological harm that occurs
as a result of domestic violence may reduce.
The story I am trying to tell is that there is absolutely no positive benefit that can be
accrued from domestic violence. Such violence can only lead to negative consequences.
Therefore, the movie will be trying to discourage people from engaging in domestic violence
and instead embrace better ways of conflict resolution. Therefore, the movie will portray
domestic violence in very negative light while it will help suggest alternative ways of dealing
with individual differences. The major characters of the movie will be four sets of couples.
Two of these sets will engage in some form of domestic violence. The perpetrator of the

domestic violence in each of the sets will face dire consequences for their actions, for
instance imprisonment. The aim of these two couples is to show that domestic violence can
only lead to negative consequences. The remaining two set of couples will engage in better
ways of solving their differences. Whenever a dispute or a conflict arises, the later set of
couples will find peaceful ways of solving the differences. Therefore, two sets of couples will
not have effective ways of dealing with domestic violence while two sets will have effective
ways to deal with the violence.
The film is going to be a very interesting one. While the major theme will be domestic
violence, it will involve other issues as well so that it becomes a true reflection of what
happens in the society. It will also run across a span of several years to show the negative
effects of domestic violence. For instance, domestic violence usually comes with negative
psychological effects on women and children. One of the couples in the movie will help show
this. In a nutshell, the movie will be one that mimics reality as closely as possible while
offering important lessons. In addition, the movie will also have some fun/ light moments to
encourage the viewer to continue watching. Therefore, the movie will arouse different kind of
feelings and emotions. The movie would be best described as a drama. As discussed above, it
will be basically a drama surrounding four couples. The movie will be such that the couples
are manipulated to show the negative effects of domestic violence while providing alternative
ways of dealing with conflicts.
When it comes to casting, I would be sure to find four gentlemen and four women to
play the role of the couples. The other members of the cast are few and their participation in
the movie is minimal. Therefore, there would be no problem finding them. To direct the
movie, I would engage one of the directors of Hollywood to help me with the same. I was not
inspired by another movie to create the film the way that I have. The main motivation
towards making this movie is my great passion is seeing to it that domestic violence comes to

an end someday. Every person should have the right to live peacefully without the fear of
being abused physically or otherwise.
