REFLECTION
I have gained the knowledge about the role of care coordinator in context Domiciliary
care services in health and social care sector. In addition to this, I have develop the
understanding about the concept of Domiciliary care services in health and social care sector.
By participation in the research I get to know about the requirements of need of Domiciliary
care services in the society. After the completion of the investigation procedure I found that the
main objective of need of domiciliary care services in to assist as well as support adults with
specific type of learning disability to have control on their lives. Through the research findings I
have analysed that care coordinator plays important role in ensuring the delivery of quality
Domiciliary care services to customers. I came to know about the different important role which
is played by care coordinator in health and social care institution. Information contained in
research report has assist me in identifying the skills as well as knowledge that I need to
develop in order to perform my roles as well as responsibilities as care coordinator in context of
delivering Domiciliary care services in health and social care sector. From the data collected
from the research I found that important role of care coordinator is to monitor as well as
evaluate the quality of Domiciliary care services being delivered to patient. In addition to this, I
have also analysed that my crucial role as coordinator is to supervise Domiciliary care services
by bringing together all specialist those who can provide complete assistance to patients in
relation to improving their health. I also found that it is very much essential for me to develop
the understanding about the symptoms of different types of diseases, as this tactics will provide
me ease in educating patient about their health. I also perceives that it is the strategy which will
support me in development of an effective care plan for delivering Domiciliary care services to
patient which is considered to be as one of the important duty of care coordinator in health and
social sector (Salmi, Suhonen and Närhi, 2019. ). I believe that information gathered from the
investigation has assisted me in performing best practices as care coordinator in context of
delivering Domiciliary care services to patients. I came to know about the way I as a care
coordinator can work with the patients or their family members in order to generate positive
health outcomes by delivering the Quality Domiciliary care services. I perceive that knowledge
which I got from the information collected during research has assisted me in managing patients
care and supported me in development of effective plan for delivering Domiciliary care services.
By analysing the data collected during investigation procedure I found that as a Coordinator I

need to work closely with employees, patients, employees in administrative department which I
think has assisted me in accomplishing health care objectives. I have also learned that my duty
as care coordinator is to assess patient health and provide them with proper care as well as
treatment and Domiciliary care services (Challis, Darton and Stewart, 2018.). By analysing the
information gathered through research I also found that it is very much essential for care
provider in health and social care sector to design ongoing procedure for patients as well as
their family members, as this tactics will help me in determining the level of support patient is
required. I have also analysed that my role as care coordinator is to provide feedback to their
subordinates for bringing improvement in the quality of Domiciliary care services being
delivered to patients (Rogers, Manser and Call, 2018.).
In addition to the above, I have also identified that from the information gathered
through research that my role as care coordinator is to provide the patients with suggestions
about the sources from where they can access an appropriate medical as well as other specialised
services which can be beneficial for them in relations to improving health outcomes. From the
information gathered through research I came to know about the challenges which I might have
to face in fulfilling my roles as well as responsibilities as care coordinator in health and social
care sector. One of the biggest challenges which I might face in performing my role as care
coordinator is related to sharing of customers records with other health care providers, as I lack
financial as well as technical expertise (Ginter, Duncan and Swayne 2018). I came to know by
analysing the information gathered through investigator process that as care coordinator I have
to act as liaison between patients as well as medical staff. In addition to this, I also found that as
a care coordinator in health and social care sector I have to perform number of duties as well as
responsibilities which includes managing complaints of customers and to make sure that all the
needs of the customers are fulfilled.
Considering the findings of research I believe that I need to develop professional attitude
for performing the roles as well as responsibilities as a care coordinator in systematic manner
and to provide the quality need of domiciliary care services to patients (Graban, 2018) . I have
also analysed that my important role as acre coordinator in health and social care sector is to
share all essential information of patients with appropriate authority , as this activity will help
me in making sure an appropriate delivery of quality services to customers. In simple words, I
found that my role as a care coordinator in health and social sector is to make smooth flow of

information between employees as well as clinical teams which is very much erssential ion
order to provide qulaity need of domiciliary care and high level of satisfaction to patients. I
have also realise that as a care provider it is very much essential for me to ensure an effective
communication as well as maintain courteous between workers and managers in health and
social care organisations. I have analysed from the research findings that If I failed to maintain
the confidentiality of information about patients then in such case I have to face legal issues,
knowing this fact was very much crucial for me in order to avoid legal obligations that might
have adverse effect on my profession (Argent, Daly and Caulfield, 2018.) . Through the
information in research I came to know about the techniques which I as a care coordinator can
apply for making sure delivery of quality services to customers.
I analysed that the skills which I required to posses in order to fulfil my role as well as
responsibility as a care coordinator in health and social care sector include organisation as well
as problem solving, an effective communication , leadership Quality, critical thinking , typing ,
multitasking etc. I need to develop the problem solving skills, as it will assist me in making sure
that all the requirements of customers are fulfilled.
By analysing the recommendations in the research report I have been able to developed
the understanding about the technique which I can apply for bringing improvement in the
supervision and making it more effective in relation to domiciliary care service. I get to know
about the approaches or techniques which I can utilise for supporting adults with special kind of
disability in improving their capabilities of retaining their control on lives. The techniques
which has been suggested in the report has helped in bringing the drastic as well as positive
improvement in the quality of improve the supervision and make it more effective in domiciliary
care services delivered to patient (Davies and Fernández, 2018). It has assisted in improving my
performance at workplace. After analysing the findings of research I found that I need to
develop an effective communication skills as well as leadership qualities which is very much
crucial for bringing improvement in the supervision and making it more effective in relation to
domiciliary services (Brown, Hobson and Little, 2019.). An effective communication skills is
required for motivating employees t5o improve their performance as well as increase their
participation in accomplishment of desired patient health outcomes. In addition to this,
leadership skills is needed for providing guidance as well as instruction to the subordinates

which is very much important in order to deliver quality and Quick improve the supervision and
make it more effective in domiciliary care services to patients.
With the help of this report i can be able to learn professional skills related to my job role
that is health coordinator. through learning and understanding different practices i can provide
and deliver better health care services to patient's that help to improve their health and make
them fit and healthy. I learn different approaches which has been used while providing health
care service to people. I can gather more information quickly with the help of this study that is
beneficial for further health care practices.
