Dominos Pizza Inc. is an American pizza restaurant that is mainly founded in the year
1960. The organization had it’s headquarter in Michigan. It is identified that the company is one
of the market leaders in the organized pizza market. The main vision of the company is to
become the best pizza delivery company in the world by focusing on exceptional people (Pizza,
2018). It generally strives for developing various types of products that mainly suit the tastes of
the consumers in order to delight them. The company mainly believes on the strategy of thinking
global and acting local. Thus, the company is mainly innovating number of new products
including crusts, toppings as well as flavors that mainly suits the taste buds of the consumers. In
addition to this, providing proper value of money as well as proper affordable products is
considered as one of the important effort by the organization.
2. Three issues related to innovation
The issues that are associated to innovation are as follows:
Shift in leadership: It is identified that in the mindset of recruitment world, the leaders
are generally identified to be good only for a specific period for the growth of the company.
However, due to shift in leadership the organization faces number of issues as well as challenges
to cope with the innovation that is required for achieving success (Dutta, Lanvin & Wunsch-

poses number of challenging requirements for the organization to become capable for the

Moreno & Saez-Martinez, 2015). In addition to this, it is found that the organizations also faces
lot of challenges in becoming user centered for successfully picking up the digital age as well as
speed.
3. Explanation of the significance of the issues
It is found that the innovative issues that are identified are very much significant for the
organization of Domino’s pizza. The significance are illustrated below:
Digital transformation: It is identified that Domino’s Pizza is one of the innovative
company that utilizes number of digital technologies over number of channels for engaging with
its customers (Botha et al., 2017). The utilization of digital technologies not only helps in
simplifying the operation of the organization but also helps in boosting company’s profit. The
digital innovations that are adopted within the organization include GPS tracking system, emoji
based SMS ordering, loyalty program, Pizza chef IPAD app, order from smart watch, powerful
ordering platform as well ad offering apps.

Shift in leadership: Due to shift in leadership, the organization is able to innovate its
business, which leads domino’s Pizza to become of the largest market leaders in the organized

utilizes innovative technologies from time to time and in order to perform successfully the
leaders of the organization has been shifted which further helps the organization in achieving its
goals as well as objectives.
Reinvention through business model innovation: It is found that proper acceleration of
both paces of distribution as well as dynamic is mainly activated with the help of the new
technologies however, it generally minimizes the lifetime of the business models that are mainly
associated with the business of the organization (Zuniga et al., 2016). Thus, the company

4. Consideration about the identified issues that is shaped by the context of the
organization
It is identified that digital transformation issue is mainly shaped by the type of
consumers as well as by the nature of the industry. It is because the consumers mainly prefer
digital transformation as due to digitization they can be able to order pizza quite easily with the
