The Downer EDI Group has been offering the services of Construction. The Company
initially put up its setup in the New Zealand Australia. Consequently, its origin office is
also located in Australia as well. As the company is enjoying profits, therefore, the
Downer EDI Group has made itself to expand in different parts of world. For this reason,
Downer EDI Group is defined as an International or Multinational Organization.
Through its Innovation and Creative techniques, Downer EDI Group has been much
successful in providing services in Construction related industries as well. Such as, the
state-of-art technology is being effectively used by Downer EDI Group for the
constructing the railway tracks and after services provided for the railways (Downer EDI
Annual Report, 2018). Similarly, the innovative techniques used in the water services
have been quite fascinating of Downer EDI Group. The company has been using the
waste water treatment, water re-use and other services for providing operative water
services for its customer. (Downer EDI Annual Report, 2018).
The company has not only expanded its operations in different companies, but also the
other companies which are directly related to the Downer EDI Group and which would
provide effective synergies, are acquired by the Downer EDI Group. These companies
include Tenix, Hawkins, Smarter Pty Ltd., Envista Pty Ltd etc. The Downer EDI Group
has been using the expertise of these companies for the benefit of its own company. In
this regard, the Tenix Group has been amongst the top companies of the utility services in
Australia, therefore, it is very well known that the electric, gas and water are basic for the
construction business and Downer EDI Group has been effectively using the synergies of
the both the companies (Bowden 2009, p.65)
Downer Group has always made an emphasis to its mission and vision statement and
thus, it applies the same for its business operations as well. Downer Group has mentioned
in its mission statement for the Zero Harm Strategy. This means that the company is
always struggling to create an atmosphere for both its employees as well as its customers
that no one should be harmed by the constructive and other activities of the company

then reconsidering the techniques through which the both customers and employees could
