INTRODUCTION
In producing a movie there are various creative practices followed. It reflects the ideas
through which film is produced. From this it can is analysed that movie is comedy, drama,
thriller, etc. However, there are other ways that reflect practice. This is easy to get things done in
proper way. Usually, a systematic design and structure is followed. There are different types of
issues that occur in it. This research will evaluate creative practices applied in movie, The
Dressmaker. Moreover, it will identify how film was produced.
BACKGROUND
First scene of this movie when “Tilly” back to the Australian backwater of Dungatar. She
left this place when she was allegedly in the case of murder of schoolmate. That scene and
lighting was so amazing, it was dark night and she had weared tailored travelling coat. Before
many years she left this place but now she came to this place to find her mother who is mentally
ill. She was having lit cigarette, singer sewing machine, and she is looking very confident.

When she was kid she looked like local girl of small town but her first appearance was so
confident, and she is looking like well-established dressmaker. When he asked..about her mother
then he replied that she is not so well. Reaction of Tilly has shown the pain for her mother.
When Tilly found her mother then she asked with her mother is she given any curse to
her but her mother was knowing nothing about that day. The expression of her mother was
showing the reality of her mental presence. Tilly moved to possum infested hovel for searching
her mother Mad Molly. It is the commady drama film written and directed by the director.
The second scene is “Gertrude entrance in the party. The party was organized by the
Gertrude friend he and all party members though that she has nt coming in the party to attend
that. After some she came in the party and attend it and At that time she was very nervous to
seen various people in that party side. The sound is run in very loudly and sound men play songs.
When she entered in party sound is stooped and looked her their expressions. The lighting is
bright and make presence on her. That is observed by their face expression. She looked someone
and passed smile and in very attractive manner. One man was comment that she looks so
staining. She was gone fast toward one lady who is their friend. She attracts whole party people
on own side and all has come together where she gone pass to one lady.

After, some time sound is plays again and pass smile to him and move toward him. It looks
like a go closer and very confident.
The third scene of this movie is “tilly and teddy” stand by their in the song. In this scene
Tilly was played gloff ball game and through ball towards one house.
The ball directly touch stags which has broken. The sound of this song so amegine and
create good sound. This song is present the whole movie story when they was child and teddy
was fant.
The Fourth scene of this movie is “Caroline Goodall” was got ready but lady came wanted
she has to be go with her. Caroline was run fast and not wanted to go ( Aldridge, 2016). At that
time, scene sound was very noisey and little light lighting at that time they took work for that and
makes.one lady and one men run back to Caroline goodall to catch her.

This very dramatical scene as well as funny also. During running, she was entered the
one general store are that is pratt”s general store. Men and female came back of her, and she left
from here to see them in shop have some kidden they make noisy there noise was very cute. She
runned and entered in one old lady house and come outside after lady blow horn of car. She was
come and standing in front of them and make positive attitude. That time sound is very slow and
men looked her and his expression is like shocked to her in this dress. They discussed together
for her's dress and said it not good.
The another scene of Dressmaker movis one lady Goodall make dress for people. The
sound was that is cloth machine and lightning was dark.
Old lady who was seated on wheel chair is shouted and said to Goodall about work something.
The old lady said the other female made dress best. She was shocked to listen that but not get
reacted on her as respect to her in proper manner. Lady who came for dress design said to
Goodall to not forget that to make it the best dress for own-self. She said if she made dress better
than she gave gift to her. That time sound was only is not their in this only voice is comes of one

lady who talk (Beard Sr and MOL, 2017). She gave direction and design of their dress to her and
looks her in very contradict manner. Goodall is in very attitude manner and red dress lady is also
shows their attitude to her. All lady's were look Goodall after giving design of dress. Lady os
asked you had done their dress in well design and in proper manner. After listening that Goodall
was got angry and said something to other. After listening that old lady were laughed very loudly
and said that plays the fun because she was same as that coungth work in particular manner.
Now Goodall happy go ahead for preparing dress for drama. That time sound is little plays is like
happy sound and both lady go from their through the stand road. The Goodall was through cloth
preparing machine outside the home in back of those ladies in very angry manner. One men said
control your self, lady was said to Teddy please control them and get stop to him. The fighting is
gone on, and they reached at their hotel and hall where they played their drama (Gayle, 2015).
Their one lady make very noice and shouted on their team member because she was very
disappointed about the fight which has happened the bus.
The Dressmaker is the plash back of the two child who are Tilly and teddy. Their they backed
and their relationship story in the last life and childhood. The teddy was make voilance with
Tilly. Through that Tilly was very dis-pressed and decided to leave that place.

Tilly had pushed very forcefully to Teddy and he was touched on wall and down on floor. That
had the cause of teddy death. She felt fear from that incident and leave that place. She felt not
well through this but created very biggest mistkes. After that ladies gone the another drama
players are gone by bus for playing drama at their place for completing it is the better manner.
The sound is normal and all drama people look like a different their dress codes. The one lady is
shout very loudly “How dare you”.
In this scene is explored the themes of revenge and creativity and was to be described by the
moor house as clint eastwood. The murder seen was very attractive and good. At that time the
sound is very serious and lighting very creative respected.
Creative practices in movies reflect its sound, lighting, etc. This varies from nature ad script
of movie. A movie nature is highly dependent on sound and lighting. Also, genre refers to art,
literature, etc. on which movie is made (Dey and et.al., 2019). It also depends on Director that
how overall lighting, sound, of movie will be. Every movie is produced through a reflective
practice. It depends on film nature and type. Also, it is based on script of film. The practices are
visual effects, 3-D graphics, etc. offline to online, etc. In that proper guidelines which assist in
screen production. The creative decision making process of filmmaking is dependent on
narrative material. It integrates actions, sound, video, etc. The Dressmaker.is a comedy drama
based on novel of Rosalie Ham. In Australia ASPERA is association that is based on UK arts.
Each practice has an impact on filmmaking. Similarly, in present movie, entire concept is
based on comedy. So, it can be analyzed that reflective practice used in it is based its narrative
writing. Moreover, when selecting practice, several factors where considered like social, cultural,
etc. In cultural ethics and values of people, society, reflected how things changed. In addition,
guidelines were formed on basis of which filmmaking was initiated. With help of ASPERA,

scholars can identify practices required. There are some national standards followed. It highlights
the key role of creative practice as research in the training of young filmmakers through the
academy, and how this may flow into the screen industries. It showcases the important

practice depends on experience of audience. Creativity in film attract audience and help in
relating the concept. Alongside, there are various theories as well that is followed. The practice is
applied from editing till post production.
SCENE ANALYSIS
In the movie there are many scenes that describe its light and sound. There is effective use
of colour and contrast, visual effects, etc. here, a scene can be taken where two main two main
characters gazing up at the stars and talking about the night sky, so both shots needed a starry
sky. So, the stars needed more integration into the images as the camera dollied forward. Using
Resolve’s shape tracker and the keyer to control and stabilize the various areas of the image, it
fell into place fairly quickly.
For actor’s eyes and face feature tracking was used. It enabled in keeping blue eyes of
actress. The colours within frame was rich and vivid. In order to convert it to live picture, DI
post workflow practice was used. With this focus was kept on actress with more light. So, there
was change in brightness with scene (Wu and Christie, 2016). This practice also converted into
4K video and provided a clear view and clarity to audience. Here, some technical shots were
shot. In scene of jungles and forest VFX effect were used. With this temp grades were applied in
turn over. Here, firstly effects were created and then edited from VFX database. Then,
accordingly sound and light was set. But again offline to online technique was used to make
VFX effects specific in film. Along with it, at last overall scene of 4k was matched with delivery
requirement set by director. It was used in scene where actress is standing on rock and in
between two trees. However, VFX made it easy to give 3 D graphics and colour to it.
Additionally, in other scenes SGO mistika was VFX tool was used. It runs in in house as well.
Pulling together the two stages of editing – offline, the creative assembly of the film, and online,
the re-assembly or conform of the offline edit back to the full quality, original camera footage.
The costume of movie was set accordingly to colour. So, it clearly showed
interconnection between costume and lighting. In that costume were changed according to FX

effects. This made it easy to reflect background of scene. Here, a distinctive style of
cinematography was shown. So, it clearly reflected the landscape and background in accordance
with VFX. The movie scenes were mostly based on its sound and light effects. This is because
for showing traditional and old age scenario, VFX were used. The use of offline to online and
then back again improved quality of scene (Zachariadis and et.al., 2017). It identified things on
which focus was required. Thus, by setting light angles and sound effects scene were shot.
Similarly, costume was changed to match it with scene. By this it was easy to match overall
things and then shoot. The interruption from scenes were identified and removed. Thus, it was
difficult to determine VFX requirement. In order to overcome it, offline to online technique was
used. It was useful in dong small changes and editing it as film progressed. The scenes were
adjusted by checking background and sound. This enabled in providing high quality experience
of movie. In that effects were modified depending on location. Moreover, when selecting
practice, several factors where considered like social, cultural, etc. In cultural ethics and values
of people, society, reflected how things changed.
CONCLUSION
From the above study it had been concluded that the Dressmaker has the wonder full
story of Tilly and Teddy. The report had been covered by the background of movie. This had
analysis by the various story scenes which had been presented in the movie. Both had effective
and strong relation between them. The Tilly has the reason of death of one boy because she
through on the wall in any misbehaving by them with her. After that she had left town and house
ad gone at the other place for work. The first scene which had been analysed in report which had

describe full story of movie in this song in effective manner. Fourth scene of this movie is
“Caroline Goodall” was got ready but lady came wanted she has to be go with her. In that seen
created very drama and funny. That had created very critical seen. This very dramatical scene as
