INTRODUCTION
Driscoll Model was developed by John Driscoll in 1994, 2000 and 2007. The model
consists of three stages each stage consist of questions that are - “What?”, “So What ?”, “Now
What?”. This is helpful in sharing the experience and performance of person's in the reflective
way by comparing it with group performance. This is also helpful in making the changes which
will be helpful in improving future of individual in their career field. So this will be linked with
the reflection theory model for reflecting the job experience of individual. The above reflection
is on the individual job experience with the help of Driscoll reflection model.
MAIN BODY
What
Application of reflection will help me to explore their job experience in the career field,
this will be helpful in improving my skills and get through a better job opportunity, new skills
also which will be helpful in gaining success further. I had completed High School Education
from Esino Fundamental & Medio studies in 2001 having a work experience of 19 years
working with several companies. I got my first job at Vide Gula Restaurant, Brazil at the post of
Waitress for 6 years. There I used to greet the customers and showing them the way to their
dinner table. Rendering them menus and taking order, serving foods & drink. Dealing with the
payments and billing and maintaining the cleanliness on the table (Morton and et.al., 2017).
After that I moved on and swipe the job and started working at Convivium Restaurant, Indian
Buffet for 3 years and managing the past job responsibilities there also. Then again I changed my
job and startd to worked at Finger's Restaurant, ITALY- Milano for the position of Bartender and
Waitress. And had working experience for 7 years in this restaurant. I used to serve the customer
at the entrance and provide the menus to guest at restaurant. I was responsible for promoting the
current changes in the menu and chef special to guest. Attends the all guest in the polite and
efficient way. Cash, credit card or debit card from the guest is collected and thus taken to the
cashier for further billing. I had an knowledge and experience about the health, hygiene and
safety guidelines which was monitored by me in order inventory. After that I had changed my
job profession and moved to the delivery driver job at Prestige Group for 4 years. I used to work
here as delivery driver in the area for several companies (Schofield, 2019). I had a valid
professional driving license. And had a working experience for this job. I used to deliver the
documents on time. At present I am working at TDL, the doctor laboratory where I used to

deliver the blood samples from hospital to the clinics.
So What
As working with the several restaurant and company I had developed many skills and
areas of expertise which is further help for my future growth and that are also helpful in raising
the career in future. I had an 12 years of vast experience in the Hospitality, Restaurant and
Customer Service and had a wide knowledge about the all health, safety and hygiene guideline as
well. Along with that working in several countries I had also learned up different languages that
are Italian and Portuguese. As I had worked for the customer service department in the restaurant
I had developed the excellent communication skills with regards to interpersonal relationship
with my staff and clients. I had developed a skill to work under pressure as in season time there
was a rush to restaurant where many of the guest are to be treated timely and serving with the
best quality service to the customer (Bassot, 2015). By developing this skill I got promoted to
further many more job responsibilities in my job career and get a hike in my jobs. I also learned
to manage multiple things at one time and satisfying customer with awesome services and
greeting them in polite and excellent way. This all are helpful for me in developing many skills
and expertise in several areas which have a hike in my professional and job career. This
enhances my confidence and let me being positive and motivated towards my work.
Now What
Now I am working with the courier company. As I had working experience in the field of
hospitality, customer care and restaurant. I should have to develop my career in that field which
can be further helpful in my career growth (Edwards, 2017). This improvement will be helpful
for me in my professional career growth. I doesn't had to change my job profession that was the
wrong step taken by me but further I had to swipe with the job and again started to work with
any hotel and restaurant so that I could get a better job position with my vast experience in that
field. And skills, knowledge and experience will be helpful in getting a better job position within
the hotel and restaurant. As the hotels and restaurant now a days needs a expertise employees
who can manage and handle the customer effectively and can also manage the other task as well
(Snowdon, 2018). As I'm having effective organizational and time management skill this is an
positive sign for the my job working and helpful for the restaurant and myself also. This will be a
career hike in my professional life and can get through a better job and career by taking a right

decision and switching the current job to another job in the hotel and restaurant.
CONCLUSION
From the above study it is concluded that job experience are helpful in the professional
career. From that one can learn and develop many more skills and knowledge of different and
new things. This all leads to hike in individual performance day by day and this have a hike in
the career of individual. The individual get motivated and honest towards their work and
positively render the all job task effectively.
