AI Summary
This report analyzes DTGOV, a public company transitioning to a hybrid cloud environment, focusing on business continuity. It addresses the need for service portfolio standardization, pricing, and SLAs. The report highlights required changes to DTGOV's Business Continuity Process due to hybrid cloud and microservices implementation, including the effectiveness of migration tools and platform awareness. Recommendations include modifications to the continuity process to prevent downtime during deployments and migrations, utilizing active and passive configurations, failover, rolling migrations, and blue-green migrations. DTGOV is an organization that seeks business benefits from its operations, various
concrete business benefits that are associated with standardization of the service portfolio with
the help of using delivery models of cloud computing are required to be defined. This service
portfolio defines the services that are supposed to be use, besides this, the pricing as well as
SLA, pricing, appropriate contract, service level strategy are required to be defined, in order to
overcome various challenges, numerous changes are to be brought about within the Business
Continuity Process of DTGOV (Dave, Meruliya & Gajjar, 2018). The Business Continuity
Process that is followed by DTGOV must have some changes incorporated in it due to the
implementation of the Hybrid cloud and micro services. Various recommendations on what are
the changes that must be incorporated in the Business Continuity Process include effectiveness
of the tools that are used for migration, the deployment package of various applications for
being aware regarding the platform where these applications can be deployed (Garcia, 2018).
The awareness regarding the platform is also a vital part that must be included within the
Business Continuity Process of DTGOV. There are various instances when the organization
might need movement which are bidirectional, this means the infrastructure of the company has
to be moved from current environment to a specific platform that is comparatively new and then
again move back to the previous platform (Garg, 2016). An example that could be provided in
this particular case includes the time when this type of requirement exists in the scenario of DR
where various applications are allowed to run on the current platform and hence it would also be
allowed to leverage the newly introduced platform in the scenario of DR.

A change that must be incorporated in the Business Continuity Process of DTGOV
includes changing the process of continuity. This particular change brought about in BCP would
help the organization in preventing as well as avoiding any kind of potential disruption along
with the consequence downtime (Srinivasan, Quadir & Vijayakumar, 2015). There are various
mechanisms which would help the organization in the purpose of reducing as well as avoiding
the downtime during the process of deployments and migration. This is carried out in the active
and passive configurations with failover which uses rolling migrations for numerous
components which are individual, it also consists of the blue green migration. The pattern of
migration should be chosen in an effective manner, this choice has to be taken considering the
field of the organization along with organizational size (Garcia, 2018). The pattern of migration
that would be chosen for the organization would help them in driving the appropriate magnitude
of the changes that has to be brought about within the organization for the purpose of migrating
the applications into a particular different platform. For the purpose of addressing various hybrid
cloud services, numerous offerings as well as approaches are emerging like providers of cloud
which provide Hypervisor support of third party along with Hypervisor based solution of third
party. These offerings are usually enabled and this has helped in obtaining new approaches for
various organizations in order to migrate various application.
