This report reviews and critiques the effectiveness of operations management principles, specifically Six Sigma and lean methodology, implemented in the Dubai Metro project by RTA in Dubai. It evaluates the application of both DMADV and DMAIC Six Sigma approaches, alongside the Lean Methodology's five key points, within the project's context. The report further prepares a continuous improvement plan based on the review of operations management principles, highlighting ten critical factors for project execution success. Additionally, it applies each stage of the Project Life Cycle (PLC) to the Dubai Metro project, discussing initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/control, and closure.
