The proposal serves as a request for resource funding, for staff
development of the Duke Hotel and restaurant, Aimed to foster
innovation through employees training, recruitment and development
in area of entrepreneurial skills for quality maintenance/upgrade and
better customer experience. For developing the competencies that are
needed for a better quality services provided within the organization.
It is very crucial Duke Hotel and restaurants be able to improve
service delivery and productivity by providing adequate training to
their employees. The general purpose of an organization is to Support
the development of staff through enhancing resources & providing
training to them (Marco-Lajara et al, 2016).
Human Resource is the most important aspect of hospitality
growth. A region or a hospitality organization with superior Human
resource is likely to gain much from the hospitality services. This
report to the government seeks to request for funding to enhance the

Problem
The hospitality industry known for its qualitative services which
it provides to their customers or guests. Its success is wholly depends
on the quality of service offered by the industry (Lim, 2016). An
organization can provide qualitative services only when, if it has
skilled and trained workforce., So it can be said that for offering the
best services, the hospitality sector requires making their all
employees more able and trained. For any hospitality organization,
the success of the organization depends on the extend of the human
resource which is the path for the direct interaction with the clients
and hence the quality or the service provided. The quality of the
service a hospitality Organization offers depends on the employee
training and the diversity of the workplace which brings unique
ideas for the development of products, services, invention, and
innovation (Importance of workplace diversity, 2018). It is stated that
workplace diversity can help hospitality industry in developing
because different people have different characteristics that can bring

The skills that our organization's employees have at the moment do
not match that of other organization and its competitors like Hilton,
Marriott, which has continually improved the expertise of their
employees through continuous internal training, this continues to
impact negatively on our service delivery and the general experience
from our customers. Also, the employees are over stressed due to the
Hotels under staffing (Mehmetoglu, 2011). Due to under staffing and
not having enough workforce, existing employees have to do all work
by which they become frustrate. For example, there is a requirement 5
employees in room servicing department but due to under staffing
there is only 2 employees and they have to do all work themselves
with over timing. So it can be said that, under staffing can make
frustrated existing staff.
The Duke Hotel and restaurant currently has deficient of the
human resources as a result of the lacks of proper employee training.
The main aim of defining that there is a lack of enough resources
because it is related with the company's main problem training and
development of staff. With our large customer base, which continues
to increase even further, there is a need for better preparation. The
problem within the Duke Hotel and restaurant is the lacks of
consistency and update in area of training, lack of critical thinking
skills, work under pressure skill and lack of employee’s skills that
relate to shortages of diversity within the organization. The meaning

enough workforce. When an organization operates in wider scope then
there is a requirement for the company to have enough and skilled
workforce for providing better customers services and perform all
functions of the company effectively. So, it can be said that deficient
workforce can decrease sales of the company and create several
problems. This organization is therefore appealing for the
Governmental financial support of 1 million pounds to be able to
conduct a better training for the employees of the organization,
recruitment of more employees for the organization to increase
diversity and to enhance the employee’s critical thinking and working
under pressure skills with a bid of improving the specific quality of
the services that they offer.

project
The Duke restaurant is one of the organizations which have been
known for the quality services and a wider variety of the services that
they offer. It operates to the larger extent and for providing qualitative
products and services, it requires to have enough and effective fund
and other resources. However, this has changed with time. For
accomplishing its goals and for continuing to provide the best services
to customers' the specific demand of the organization is to get
funding from the government through its funding program to enhance
the organization's resource enhancement such as training, recruitment,
diversity, and entrepreneurship which have significantly impacted on
the quality of service offered in the hospitality sector in the region.
The quality of the service that was provided to our client has
tremendously gone done as a result of the lacks of proper training of
our employees (Marco-Lajara et al, 2016).
This is due to the financial constrains within the
organization. Besides, the organization's service quality has also been
adversely affected by the under staffing (Alemayehu and
Tveteraas, 2019). Recently the organization's customer base is on
the rise. However, the organization can meet the needs of this rising
customer numbers due to the low number of employees. The ratio of
the employee to a customer when the organization is relatively lower.
It means this hotel is facing the problem of getting skilled and enough
workforce. As compare to its wider customers base, there is a

deficient employee in each department of Duke hotel. The
organizations also need to increase the number of employees to
change this situation which affects the quality of care provided. Due
to not having skilled workforce, it can be said that there is lack of
diversity and diverse workforce. Due to lack of diverse workforce,
there is a lack of entrepreneurial and critical thinking skills.
Besides, the organization diversity and entrepreneurial skills are also
quite low. This can be achieved by improving the number of
employees through the process of recruitment.
The Duke Hotel and restaurant project requesting funding of 1
million pounds to finance, training of the employees on the modern
hospitality management and customer care which are one most
important aspect of the hospitality industry. Also, the funding will also
increase the organization employees number through the process of
recruitment to improve the quality of service provided due to the
reduced client customer ratio. Other than training and recruitment, the
increase employee number will enhance the diversity of the employees
within the organization. Lastly, due to the low entrepreneurial skills
within the organization, the organization also needs to improve these
skills among the employees of the organization. The last share of the
funding will be allocated towards the development of these skills as
among the employees of the organization (Marco-Lajara et al, 2016).
The higher demand within the organization is the ability of the
individual members of the staff to be able to satisfy the particular

Duke Hotel and restaurant. The company would rather have cash
reserves, financing equipment acquisition. As it is already stated that
the hotel requires recruiting more skilled employees and after
recruiting it requires providing enough training to them. Recruitment
and training process seeks enough investment, so it is the main reason

providing satisfactory services it is essential for Duke hotel to request
funding. This makes sense to the company by the corresponding cost

budgeting, finance being the core of every business decision. Planning
on the finance budget will easily enable easy cash flow management,
capital structure, and risks controls. The organization will benefit a
