As Dunkin Donuts is the market leader in their own field and therefore they are the
star in the BCG matrix. Boston Consulting Group or the BCG matrix which is commonly
known as are used by the company to analyze the performances of their multiple products
and for the decision making process. There are four quadrants that divides the market on the
basis of the growth rate and the market share. They are cash cows, questions marks, stars and
dogs.
Dunkin brands is basically the franchise of the restaurants which deals with quick
services. They have a selling of hot and cold coffees along with the ice cream and baked
foods and their special donuts around the globe with almost 25000 outlets. Dunkin donut
quick selling products comprises of varieties of burgers, and teas and coffees both hot and
iced and therefore they are listed in the star category of the BCG matrix. Donuts which is the
famous product of the Dunkin brand, however it has lesser sale as compared to the star
category products and therefore, they came under the cow category. Those wraps and shakes
or the problem child that are on the verge of getting extinct and has fewer sales and doesn’t
generate much revenue comes under the question mark category. Dog category comprised of
the products that are bought, however, they were unable to survive and thus got extinct.

helped them to maintain intact in their top position. However, it has to be noted that there are
lack of awareness in certain areas which requires consideration. Therefore as per SWOT
analysis the company has the following features.
Strengths

Dunkin donut generally serves 1billion cups of brewed coffee every single year and
