(Western, 2019). Every individual needs to have some leadership skills or qualities in order
develop personally as well as professionally. According to scholars, people face challenges in
their daily lives thus leadership skills provide opportunities to overcome these situations in

This is the personal and professional development plan I have created for myself and I
would like to achieve all the qualities and traits that are listed in the development plan in
order to make sure that I can develop myself and lead a team in a more efficient way in order

employees. I would like to achieve some of these traits in order to develop myself personally
as well.I am currently working as a leader in an E-commerce retailer division thus the first
goal I have set for myself is to lead people or a group. In order to achieve this I need to
volunteer for more projects that my organization gets so that I get a proper experience and
also supervise my team properly in order to achieve this goal. The constraints that I am
predicting that I may face is that the organization I work for may have a different opinion and
would not give me projects to lead if they find someone more capable and suitable for
handling the certain projects. The time frame I have set to achieve this goal the time frame I
have chosen is from 2-3 years as it is difficult to lead a team as every individual is different
and have different opinions that may not align with their ideology. According to scholars
when two people do not think alike then conflicts arise and these conflicts can be harmful for
the team as well as the organization (Redpath et al., 2015). Understanding and handling
people needs experience and time thus this is the time period I have taken to achieve my
goals.
The next goal I am willing to achieve is motivating my team members. As I am
currently serving an organization as team leader I believe I will grow in my career and will
need to handle more teams so that the goals of the organization are met. In order to so this I
need to motivate my subordinates so that they are motivated so that they work harder to bring
fruitful outcomes to the company. To do this I will conduct meetings to make them
understand the goals clearly. When people have a clear idea about the goals then employees
give more enhanced performance (Leroy et al., 2018). I would introduce feedback system as
to what problems my team is facing so that I can take effective measures to help motivate
them and also have a meeting with the management and propose incentive schemes which

stop over thinking and start becoming more positive. I would like to be positive in all types of
situation in the workplace as well as in life. There may be situations that may arise that may
bring negative thoughts but by being positive I should overcome these feelings. I will make
self-assessment reports to see how I have acted and responded to stressful situations and the
way I have dealt with it so that I can measure my progress. To do this it will take me about 2
years as in negative situation I tend to over think and lose motivation.

situations as problems will always arise in life which needs to be solved to maintain and lead

will be a success or a failure (Holmberg-Wright and Hribar, 2016). I would like to make
proper decisions that benefit the organization and my team so that there is fruitful production.

motivational factor that helps in motivating employees to perform well. Ethics is another
factor that most organizations put emphasis on and I make sure that there is a positive and
healthy relationship between my team members but I also make sure to create a boundary.
I believe that values are something which will always be important and thus following
values and providing a healthy work atmosphere to the employee help in boosting their
morale. I usually appreciate for the performance that is put which motivates employees. I
