Part B:
E business and E learning is gaining importance in Asia pacific region. The growth has
been affected mainly because of the many challenges, owing to the diverse demography in the
region and the governance of the countries in the region (Janita & Chong, 2013, p. 571-578). On
the topic E-business and E- learning strategies in the developing economies of Asia pacific
region. I argue there is potential in this region and the countries can definitely benefit from the
technological advancement.
There are certain challenges that is prevalent in this area mainly, the language barrier that
exists among the nations, the high illiteracy rate, lack of technological knowledge and support.
The developing economy can make a positive change when the demographic of these countries
can make useful changes in the curriculum itself. For example, introducing technology in
agricultural sector, educational sector can help the population to make conscious changes in their
socio-economic state (Agarwal & Kumar, 2013, p.101-104). Even though the political
governance has a huge part to play in the development of e learning and e business strategy. The
sociological implications cannot be avoided, low literacy rate, low technological development,
lenience to more traditional business models are causing significant setback (Suder & Wu, 2017,
p.30). There has been several innovative method to increase the literacy rate through e-learning
in Thailand, however the acceptance of such degrees is still a work in progress (Teo et al, 2014,
p. 489-506).
South Korea, China are some of the more advanced nations and the demographic shows
an inclination towards investing in e-commerce, e-learning sector. Using e-learning can help
these countries gather much needed technological knowledge, literacy rate without incurring
huge cost for the government (Ramli, 2017, p. 1-26) . Acceptance of e-learning degrees and

study material should be supported by the governments of these countries and will help in more
participation of the youth group as well as the older generation.
In conclusion, all the journals in discussion point a similar issue prevailing in the Asia-
pacific countries. The lack of education, government involvement, and lack of infrastructure and
technical knowledge. Therefore, I believe, if these obstacles can be overcome by the nations,
these developing nations can benefit a lot from this enterprises and improve their socio-economic
conditions immensely.
