backgrounds, actions or the real-life influences. The social network has been analysed to be
significantly distributed through the several computer networks.
The social networks are mostly similar to the computer networks. The social
networking sites varies in number of features and the format. It could integrate the vast range
of innovative information as well as the communication tools that are operating on the
laptops and the desktops, on the mobile devices and the smartphones (Daneels &
Vanwynsberghe, 2017). The sharing of ideas, videos, digital photos and posts could be easily
shared by the people on the social media platforms that helps in informing other people
regarding the various real-world and online activities. Based on the social networking sites,
the members might be able to contact with any other members.

are exposed. Parent should monitor the online activity of their child on the social media
websites. The exposure to any negative information could affect the mind of the child
negatively and lead to significantly drastic situations. The usage of the social networking sites

al., 2017). The internet contains various types of information that has the potential for the
kids to be exposed to the inappropriate content and the harmful interactions such as

commitment of supporting their children as the interaction on the internet platform could
have the drastic effects. With the effective monitoring of the behaviour of the child on the
internet platform, the parents could avoid the situations of cyberbullying (Shah et al., 2016).
Cyberbullying could be described as the kind of bullying that happens on the digital
devices and the online platforms such as the computers, smartphones and the tablets.
Cyberbulling mainly includes the sending, or posting even sharing any kind of false,
negative, harmful or even mean content regarding any person. In the situation of the children,
there is a threat of any child sharing excess information on the social media platform that is
used by the malicious users for personal uses. There is an increasing threat of online
predators who intends to gain some personal information from the social media platforms and
then cause harm to the people, especially children. With the effective monitoring of the kind
of information that is shared by children on platforms of social media, the exposure of the
children to any online predator could be extensively avoided (Yang & Lee, 2020).
