Migration plan to develop e-business capability from scratch
E-business is the business on the internet with the advancement of Internet users all over the
world along with the growing interest of people in buying products on the internet. The demand
for e-business increases. The e-commerce is gaining a lot of popularity as it not only helpful in
trading the products but also helps in building the relationship among customers, businesses and
suppliers.
Now, let just take an example of a firm of clothing which was recently open who offers services
such as buying and selling of clothes and exchanging of clothes, initially the firm sell its clothes
in the local market but with the passing year the firm has grown to a big firm having more than 10
branches in big towns of the countries. As the firm has grown so big there is a need to maintain
each of the offices of the different countries along with its employees which is quite difficult as to
handle so many things and that too from a distance causes a lot of problem in terms of poor
interactions among the employee, customers, management along with firms that are contributing,
which directly affects the customers of the firm as they are losing trust on the firm and also the
financial losses increases. To deal with this situation which is going out of hand firm is seeking
help from the consultancy firm in order to get some suggestion to get rid of this condition.
The firm of consultancy thoroughly analysed the situation of the firm and reach to the conclusion
that this condition of the firm occurs only because of the lack of conversation between the
customers and suppliers of the different branches and suggest that the firm should go online by
establishing the e-business over the internet in which they can sell their products over the internet
without taking care of the stores in specific country.
Plan of Migration
The firm has decided to move into the digital platform where they can display all their products
on the E-commerce application for which they have to find the requirements specification in order
to migrate from the physical store to online business.
Impacts of migration on the organization
When an organization migrates from the domain definitely it will be affected by several factors
such as its employees get affected, its source of accessing information will affect, its process of
implementation will change, it also impacts its finance and so on.
When the whole varieties of products display online it becomes easy to view any products of any
variety in just a click instead of any individual showing the required products individually. This
will impact the performance of the firm widely as now everything is available in just one click
less time will be required to show these items instead of doing the same thing manually.
Also, while migrating into online the proper software is required for displaying the products that
also need expert guidance as displaying the products online needs proper advertisement and
security. This, in turn, affects the structure of the organization which leads to a restructuring of
the organization.

Therefore, migrations completely affect the firm as the working of both domains is different.
While displaying the products online the efficiency of viewing the wide range of products
increases as it is quite easy to display products in just one click rather than displaying them
manually. Hence, it is proved that the organization gets widely affected by the process of
migration.
Changes in the infrastructure
As the firm is changing from offline to online there are lots of changes occurs in the infrastructure
of the business, as there is no need to set up a store which further needs no maintenance in future
which directly saves the money and the time which is being used in the store if it is present
physically.
When the e-commerce site is built it is very convenient to display the products along with their
variations to the customers, they just have to click the button to view. The customers can also use
the following services such as exchange the defective products, can also request for refund if they
didn’t like the products. This is how the infrastructure can be affected as now for the e-commerce
business completely different infrastructure is needed.

This is also one of the risks associated when switching from one domain to another as in case of
physical store the customer can replace the bought product any time they want but when they
apply for online replacement of products there is no direct communication between the customer
and the retailer.
6. Fraud Credit Cards
There are also chances of credit cards being stolen and that card being used by some other
