Introduction
In today’ scenario, the information and the communication technology have made some
of the deepest effects on the human lives. The colleges and the institutes are needed to respond to
the ICT or the information and communication technologies. This is specially internet’ becoming
fast where everybody can gain the opportunity to get benefits from the facility. The students
have the become familiar with the technology after its revolution in social media. Day –by-day
the e-learning is becoming quite suitable and essential for the teaching practices for distance
learning and the forum discussion. There are various meanings of the E-learning from various
perspectives. It can be considered as a set of applications along with the processes as computer
based learning, online learning, e-learning, distance learning and the delivery of some
information too. The students can make use of the e-learning for reviewing the course materials,
the lecturer’ assessment, the publishing marks, the exam dates and others. In this paper, articles
of six scholarly people will be examined and analyzed. The paper will also outline the papers’
aims and research questions individually, the background research, the employed approach, the
employed tools and the techniques, the findings with reflecting on how the publication related to
the research proposal.

The aim of the study was to design and implement an e-learning program in the folk
culture and the local history. The feature of the approach was to create an e-learning program in
the folk culture, the history and the ethnography so they people could avail the scope of
attending all the courses for free without any restrictions for the involvement of the learner.
The background research
From the background research, the authors have found that the distance learning program
designs are concerned initially with the folk culture along with the issues of the archival history
and ethnography that started at the end of 2017. It started at the end of the year 2017, and the
implementation of the programs also started in spring 2017 from the Academy of Folk Culture
and Local History, the Department of Cultural Organization. As per the design, the first program
which was offered was the “Introduction to the Science of Folk Culture’. This program was
followed by the program titled as “People coming from Mt Pelion in Egypt: Archival
Ethnography from the perspective of new technologies and the Internet”.
Method
All of the learners had to study on the platform and at the end of the whole program,
there was a brief ethnography that was also accompanied by an archival material for a specific
family/person/group of some people about the Egyptian pilgrims through some of the
unpublished material. The learners had to attend the obligatory workshops such as Digital
narrative and the collective memory, the digitization and the management of documents and
resources, the tools of social networking and the collective memory.
Findings

The e-learning programs were developed on a case-by-case basis such as asynchronous
distance learning, the synchronous distance learning, the blended model combining
asynchronous and synchronous learning. Therefore, the logic of the Massive Open Online
Courses was adapted gradually in the thematic units of the ethnography, the folklore and the
history.
Reflection
The study talks about one practical case of the designing and implementation of e-
learning programs and it is solely related with the topic of the future research. The paper presents
no such complication factors in the standard of the document provided. The outcomes of the
practical has opened new ways of future research.

Aims and objectives
The aim of the study is to design and implement an e-campus ontology for the
educational purpose having focused primarily on the learning hierarchy of the C sharp language
of programming. The SW or the Semantic Web actually aim at providing some information as
then well –defined meanings, the knowledge base, that can be processed by the machines. The
primary objective of the work is to fulfill the gap between ontology engineering and the software
engineering field for the ontological development. The special focus is on the University of
Zakho .

The Semantic Web as per the vision of the W3C is Web’ future. It is further the
extension of some recent Web through the standards of the W3C. The Web infrastructures are
found to be more recognized in the form of the Semantic Web backbone.
Method
This study has used a hybrid methodology founded on the engineering approaches for the
development of presented ontologies. At last, the developed methodology has been applied in the
ontology implemented. The educational domain has been selected where there is huge
importance of the reusability of knowledge.
Findings
The findings have shown that the implementation of the ontology can become integrated
with any of the e-learning systems which can be reused for the educational organizations where
the e-campus can also be applied.
Reflection
I would like to say that this hybrid methodology for the development of ontologies have
been aptly proposed founded on the well-proved concepts of software engineering. The study is
useful for my research because it adds value to the implementation of ontology and in the
future works too, this ontology will become integrated with all of the electronic system with e-
learning management systems too. The other future works will be for adding to the
enhancements of to the ontology that is developed having added SWRL or the Semantic Web
Rule Language.

implementation in Iraq: A case of public universities. The International Review of
Research in Open and Distributed Learning, 17(5).
Aims and objectives
The aim of the research is to highlight the challenges which hinder the effective
implementation of the e-learning in the context of Iraq and then recommend some possible
solutions of tackling them.
Background research
The implementation of the e-learning initiatives that has reached some advanced stages
in some of the developed countries it is in the stage of infancy specifically in the Middle East
countries. There are some of the public universities in the Iraq that have initiated some little
attempts for using the e-learning in the traditional classrooms.
Method
As methodology, they has made respondents to participate voluntarily in the research. It
consisted of 74 academic staffs, 3 professors in the charge of e-learning and 31 undergraduate
students. There particular methods were used for collecting data such as semi-structured
interviews, survey instruments and the focus groups. The data was analyzed both qualitatively
and quantitatively.
Findings
The findings depicted an in-depth understanding of the recent status of e-learning in the
Iraqi universities having highlighted all of the major hindrances of the successful applications.

Founded on this specific analysis, the study has proffered many such recommendations which
should become considered for benefiting fully from the technologies of e-learning.
Reflection
I would like to reflect on the fact that this study has helped me in understanding about
the barriers and the opportunities of e-learning implementation. Although the study is solely
restricted to the public universities of Iraq, the general information can be accepted for sure .
There is a vivid description on the scopes and barriers of the e-learning.

The aim of the research is to investigate the critical factors which lead to a successful
implementation of the systems of e-learning. This is because there are several obstacles faced by
the e-learning system implementation.

The fast and tremendous development of the telecommunication and information, there
is a tendency of using the information technology specifically in the educations sector. In this
context, it can be said that the e-learning is one such effective learning system that can be
enhanced and exploited by technological development.

The authors have made use of the Delphi technique for obtaining the consensus from the
expert respondents regarding the most critical factors contributing in the successful
implementation of e-learning in the universities of Saudi Arabia.
Findings
The findings of the study have become extremely helpful for the authors for creating a
framework which highlights the 11 critical factors that were grounded into the four such domains
which covered the quality of the website , the technological options, the e-learning awareness,
the support of top-management by the students.
Reflection
Similar to the previous study, it can be said that the study will be helpful for the
designers, the developers and the decision makers for understanding the significant guidelines
for one successful growth of one e-learning system. This is one of the most informative paper as
far as my views are concerned and developed framework can become used for closing the gap of
e-learning systems. The study has reviewed and then assessed 11 specific dimensions that were
grouped into four dimensions.

The aim of the study is to design a web-based application of multimedia, the interactive
learning for improving the outcomes of learning of the students specifically those students who
are in the Vocational High School.
The background research
It is found that the Multimedia learning has become designed with some of the extra
content as applications such as the decision support system for the usage of multi-media founded
on the Model of Multimedia Learning Success. The development of the model of multimedia
learning starts with an year’ earlier research aimed at measuring or providing some guidance for
the teachers who are in the usage of multimedia. In the planning phase of the success model,
there are the learning strategies, the learning resources, the teacher preparedness, the cognitive
understanding teacher and the instructional media readiness. The findings of the first research
show that it is required to design and implement the multimedia learning since the usage of the
computer parts in the activities of learning where the usage of the expert systems is required too
in the software selection, the technology selected information and the interactivity.
Methods
The method of qualitative analysis as the development of the multimedia learning that
has been integrated with the decision support system. The designing and the implementation of
the multimedia learning success has been abbreviated as ‘Sikemuning’. The Sikemuning can
further be used for the measurement or providing some guidance for the teachers who are under
the usage of multimedia.

The study findings or the interviews with few respondents teachers who belong to the
vocational schools of Central Java depicted that success of the system of multimedia in the study
has developed which can be used in the form of feedback for assessing the effectiveness and
success of learning activity implementation . Also, the multimedia learning can further improve
the intelligence and performance of the vocational school system.
Reflection
After going through this article, I have found that the designing and the implementation
of the multimedia system can become improved through integration of the system into the
academic system of a school since it has some of the additional characteristics as notification of
mobile devices and synchronization too. Notably, it has opened a different aspect of the
designing and implementation of e-learning that can be used in future research.

medical devices for educational purposes. International Journal on Interactive Design

Aim and Objectives
The aim of the research is to develop the 3D web-based interactive applications of
learning that has provided a helpful background, practical training and the reminder to the
medical devices. The study is also aimed at presenting the production cycle of these objects of
interactive learning and the study is at the same time conducted for measuring the perception of
its effectiveness for the learning. The 3D based medical devices are the electrocardiogram,
sphygmomanometer and a defibrillator. These application have introduced the elements of the

interactivity with the content of learning providing some practical training for the usage of some
medical devices.
Background research
Studies have found that the medical devices usually play an extremely crucial role in all
such diagnosis, treatment and care of the patients along with the variety of some medical devices
that is huge and also annually increasing. The healthcare professionals actually handle an
extensive range of the devices each day.
Method
The authors have presented the production cycle of the interactive learning objectives and
the study has been conducted for measuring the perception of the students of the effectiveness of
learning. The e-learning package has been developed for the medical, allied healthcare and
nursing professionals who are working in any such healthcare environments.
Findings
The findings have shown that the learning of these e-devices has made all of the medical
services quite easy and affordable too. People are receptive of the knowledge and they are fund
this e-learning package quite useful for themselves.
Reflection
I would like to reflect on the fact that these types of e-learning package can become quite
useful for the pharmacists also in any such environment along with all such workers of
community care in the healthcare setting. This healthcare aspect of the e-learning was not under
my knowledge but the article has provided much information on this fact. This training can

become useful to all such staffs who work in a patient supporting area as a reminder of the best
practice.
