Summary
E-portfolio is prepared so that learners are able to develop a reflection of their entire
coursework. It enables students to develop an at a glance knowledge of whatever
has been taught to them throughout the course. As per the ideas given by Hoekstra
& Crocker(2015), E-portfolio enables the student to develop an overall knowledge of
their areas of strengths and areas of weakness by viewing the portfolio that has been
prepared. The E-portfolio can also enable the student to develop proper ideas of
each coursework and develop knowledge about the things that had been taught to
them during that time in the class (Rezgui,Mhiri&Ghédira, 2017).
I have prepared the portfolio of the things that have been learnt by me during the
coursework. My coursework consisted of twelve classes. In the first class we were
taught about reflective writing. The teacher explained to us the ways in which
reflective writing has to be written and we developed basic ideas on the ways to do
business academic writing and learnt correct usage of punctuations. In the second
coursework I learnt the proper ways of writing an essay. In the third coursework, I
learnt the skills that are required by me for doing a business research. The entire
process of conducting a business research and the ways to manage data and
provide proper literature review was learnt by me in this course.
In the fourth coursework, I developed a detailed knowledge about mind-mapping
through my coursework. I learnt the processes of mind-mapping and developed a
knowledge of the ways in which the diagrams can be prepared. This has enabled me
to focus more on various topics and remember details of the topic in an easier
manner. The fifth coursework was totally based on Plagiarism. I learnt about
referencing and its importance. The ways by which theft of someone else’s views
can be avoided was also learnt by me in this course. The ways of putting in in-text
citations and referencing them in different formats were learnt by me in this
coursework. In the sixth course, the teacher taught us about writing styles and the
best ways to write a sentence. The course was a beautiful course and it has enabled
me to develop my writing skills a lot.
The seventh coursework was almost a continuation of the sixth coursework and I
learnt the proper usage of capital letters. The part of sentences that needs to have
capital letters and using capital letters in middle of a sentence for particular words

were learnt by me in this course. The eighth course focused on reading skills. This
course was very important and was very useful for me. With the help of this
coursework I was able to develop proper ideas about the reading techniques and
pronunciation styles. The study also enabled me to develop proper knowledge over
the fact that reading increases capability to think and remember everything. In the
ninth course I learnt of ways of developing presentations and the teachers taught me
presentation skills. With the help of these skills, I could develop presentations related
to my studies on different topics.
In the tenth course, I developed proper knowledge related to critical thinking. With
the help of this coursework, I have learnt the ways in which my though process is
important in learning details of a particular topic. The eleventh topic was on
academic keywords where I learnt the keywords that are necessary with which I can
be able to develop proper ideas of the questions that may be asked to me. The
language of the question may be difficult but the keywords will guide me towards the
correct answers. The last course was mainly about tense and I developed proper
knowledge about tenses so that I am able to improve my English language skills and
apply the same in my writing and speaking and develop my control over the
language.

Course 1
In the first course we were taught about the details of business academic writings.
The course was easier than I has expected and the teacher explained the various
ways in which the academic writings have to be written. Further, detailed information
related to the usage of proper words have also been mentioned in the study. Few
terms that cannot be used in academic writing have also been taught to us while the
course was being taught. Reflective writing mainly refers to the looking back and
revision of the studies that have been done previously so that they are kept in mind.
The writing that has been attached has been done by me after I was involved in the
course as a reflective writing.
Course 2
Essay writing was taught to us in the second course. The proper ways of writing an
essay was explained and the style of writing was also discussed. I also learnt the
ways in which the writing matter has to be cited with the help of references that are
collected from various sources. Further importance of proper use of written skills
have also been mentioned in the study and the ways in which an essay has to be
written has been elaborately discussed in this course. The file that I have attached is
an essay that has been written by me.
Course 3
In the third course, I developed knowledge related to development of research skill.
Research has to be done before doing a business academic writing. There are
various ways of doing a research. There are research aims and objectives that have
to be understood first. Research questions have to be set and literature review as
per the provided topics has to be done. Further, it is also seen that, there is a
methodology of doing a research that has been discussed elaborately in the course.
The study has also taught the different data collection techniques that have been
used by researchers to develop proper analysis of the data that have been collected
by the researcher.
Course 4
The coursework on mind mapping mainly focused on the development of a systemic
diagrammatic style of learning where the learner has to develop a set of interlinked

diagram about a particular topic. This diagram is used to develop knowledge related
to the details of the topic that has been taught. Mind mapping is very essential as it is
able to provide relevant and important information about the topic and provides at a
glance knowledge of the depths and details of the topic.
Course 5
Plagiarism is an important topic in business academic writing as many people
present their views which are almost same and there are high chances that
similarities are noticed. There are also such cases where people want to quote other
people in their works so that they are able to provide credibility to the views that have
been presented by them. All these factors have been elaborately discussed in the
coursework of plagiarism. This coursework has taught me what is content theft and
the ways it can be avoided. The importance of referencing have also been taught in
this course and I was also able to learn about different referencing styles. The
course also taught me the ways I can present a proper business academic writing
material which is totally written by me and does not contain any copied information
from the articles of other writers.
Course 6
This coursework was one of the most important coursework that have been provided
to us. The coursework has focused on writing proper sentences. The teacher made
us write sentences after teaching the basic grammars of sentence constructions. All
details including subjects, verbs and predicates were given proper attention. Further,
the parts of speech were provided proper attention and the teacher explained to us
the styles of sentence constructions and the different types of sentences that are
present. The course has enables me to develop proper knowledge of the ways in
which business academic sentences needs to be written so that I am able to answer
all the questions properly. Further, this course has also been helpful as all the things
that were taught in the course was grammar related and enabled me to develop
proper ideas of the skills required for writing.
Course 7
The seventh coursework was easy and taught me the portions in a written text where
I need to put capital letters. Although I had an overall knowledge of this course from

before, I learnt new things like where to apply a capital letter in the middle of the
sentence and why names need to be started with capital letters. I have attached a
letter in the coursework portfolio which shows the places where capital letters needs
to be attached to make the piece of writing correct.
Course 8
This coursework on reading is helpful because it has taught me of shortcut methods
of reading up a text at a faster pace than others. This course has mainly focused on
the styles of readings. It says that reading the entire text is not important and a
person needs to know before what results is expected out of the text. The reader
needs to develop proper ideas of the text beforehand and read the selected parts
that has relevant information. This can develop proper reading skills and the
knowledge can also be gained at a faster rate. This course has helped me to
manage huge materials of the course which I had to read. Although after developing
reading skills readings texts have become much easier and faster for me.
Course 9
Communication skills have been developed by me from this presentation
coursework. This coursework has enabled me to understand the importance of being
able to make audiences understand your views. The course focused on various
factors like importance of presentation, presentation skills, visual information
importance and importance of factors like body language, tone and posture. This
course has made me a proper presentation developer and I am also able to present
my views while showing the presentation to the audience. Although, I get nervous
before the speech however with practice I have been able to develop a lot and have
gained proper control over the language and presentation skills.
Course 10
Critical thinking coursework was a valuable coursework for me. This is mainly
because of the fact that it has enabled me to develop knowledge about the ways in
which I should proceed with my thought about a particular topic. Critical thinking
enables a person develop detailed knowledge over a topic and reflect them properly
with only the proper information that are important. Critical thinking coursework has
taught me that all information that is collected is not relevant and does not need to

be produced while being described. Relevant information, expertise comments and
viewpoints have to be kept in mind while critical thinking. The six easy R.E.V.I.E.W.
steps have also been taught in this coursework so that proper thinking capability can
be developed.
Course 11
In this coursework, I could learn about the keywords that are used in academic
business writings. It is important because business writing questions are based on
phrases that are used by the teachers. If I am able to understand the phrases in the
questions, I can answer them properly. Otherwise, there are high chances of my
failure. Through this course I developed proper ideas of the academic phrases. I can
now understand the phrases that are used in the questions and answer them
properly to pass in them. These keywords have also helped me to understand the
ways in which the task has to be done.
Course 12
In this coursework I was able to develop proper knowledge of tense in English
language. The study helped me to develop my English spoken and written
capabilities as tense is one of the most important and basic grammar skill that needs
to be present in a person in order to develop control over the language. With the help
of this course, I was able to practice many sentences and identify their tenses and I
could thus properly comment about the time in which an incident has occurred.
Learning of tenses has also enabled me to obtain better marks in the essays that
have been written by me during my coursework and I have been successfully able to
develop my knowledge with the help of this course.
