Introduction
In this individual reflection; the topic is “Implications and barriers of e-tourism in context
of Nepal”. This report is based on my own self-observation towards issues of e-tourism
in Nepal context. This report helps me to upgrade my knowledge to know about the e-
tourism research information. In the research, I used secondary data collection by the
help of some relevant journals, articles and online sites.

Topic identification
Tourism is the motion and activities of people for the purpose of staying in outside the
common environment and travel for business, leisure for not more than one year. In my
research topic barriers in the e-tourism context of Nepal gives some information
regarding its importance and its pros and cons towards the country. Information and
communication technology play a vital role in the tourism industry. The purpose of
choosing this research topic is to find out the barriers of e-tourism and gain knowledge. I
want to examine the issues and problems of e-tourism which affect Nepal country
tourism.
Problem identifies
The major problem which is faced by Nepal tourism is to hurdles which are arising in
Nepal. In the research, I find out and observe some problems and barriers of e-tourism.
In this research topic, I personally select this topic because it is very interesting and I
love to travel. Nepal wants to modify its tourism industries in the modern world.
The country needs to increase the business into this field but face problems which
create barriers and limitations for it. Nepal needs to enhance its e-tourism industry
competencies, it is famous for tourism. This research topic enhances my knowledge
and studies (Anbalagan, & Lovelock, 2014).

Literature review
Search process
For research, I choose secondary data methods for analyzing the situations. This
method helps me to enhance my knowledge and provide relevant information regarding
e-tourism. Information is collected by various online websites and articles information. I
start my own research by searching for some common articles and journals. However, it
provides me only limited information but due to more knowledge and information which
is essential for research. It helps me to upgrade my awareness which makes my
research is more engaging and interesting (Liu, et. al., 2014).

Summarize articles
Some relevant articles for a literature review give appropriate information regarding my
research topic. In the given topic it provides knowledge of various types of barriers and
hurdles create limitations for Nepal country tourism. The objective of the research is to
show that Nepal needs the e-tourism industry to upgrade its business regarding tourism
sector. However, the country provides pre-purchase offers for its potential customers.
Online business has its own pros and cons.
Tourism industry faces some issues which are weak fix time plans, absences of
information, unbalanced tourism foundation, bad data access for global traveller toward
well-being. Absence of systematic channels creates issues for e-tourism and increases
the risks, government authorities’ restrictions is also the issue of e-tourism. Other issues
are the absence of vacationer places; unplanned structure to face the situations creates
problems for travellers.
During the research, I realized that the Nepal tourism industry wants to modify its
business and upgrade the tourism industry. Its GDP is increasing and people are
interested to travel. It is also identified in the research that Nepal faces major issues for
its transportation and due to this effect; it directly affects the travellers as well as the
transportation business of the country.
In the research, it is investigated that many reasons for tourists visit. One of the biggest
major reasons is to holiday’s pleasure. Many people visit this country to spend their
vacations in the country. Clients have limited chances to search for requirements for
arranging trips and tours. Lower availability, higher insufficiency affects the tourism
industry of Nepal. While determining the literature review, I observed that tourism is
beneficial for fast-growing economic activities (Vladimirov, 2015).

Research methodology
For research, I personally choose the mixed methodology for collecting the data.
Qualitative data and some online sites data are collected for research. Papers related
tourism industry gives knowledge regarding tourism. The pilot survey gives information
which is many people travel to spend their holiday's pleasure.
Some graphs and questionnaires help to gain information towards e-tourism importance
and values. Majority of the people gives positive responses for travel. On the other
hand, the major barrier in the country tourism is transportation facilities.
Government role gives negative response for tours and travels. By use of some
graphical structure of e-tourism, it defined that Nepal government role is worst in the
emergency conditions. It affects the travellers as well as the tourism industry of the
country. For my research, I give priority to a mixed approach and methodology to
determine the evidence (Tfaily, 2018).
It helps me to understand the impacts of barriers towards country e-tourism. This
research gives relevant information regarding barriers and importance of tourism
industry. I used some relevant mechanism which includes government agencies, public
and private sectors.

Findings
Some graphs and surveys of tourism sector help me to get the information regarding
barriers and resolve the issues of the country. It also provides some relevant knowledge
regarding e-tourism in Nepal.
Mixed methodology supports me to enhance the information in order to recognize and
understand the graphical data and survey of the people. Some relevant methods, online
sites and articles related to e-tourism of Nepal upgrade my abilities. Lack of government
authority’s interest, poor services decrease the traveller's interest; internet, mobile and
landline satellite facilities are declines in the country (Liu, et. al., 2014).

Conclusion
It is concluded that this research helps me to identify the information regarding barriers
and hurdles of e-tourism in context of Nepal. It is also investigated that the country
faces problems due to many reasons and wants to minimize the risks. For research, I
used the mixed methodology to identify the appropriated outcomes towards research.
My research supports me to understand the issues faced by the country and its bases in
the tourism context.
