The educator had taken help of the approach of cognitive strategy sentence starters where, while
reading out a particular passage, the teacher has talked about the inner meaning of the starting
sentence and had made the students write them immediately in their respective notebook. Such
approach has helped the students to understand the importance of writing down ideas, thoughts
and important points while reading texts to understand the text better.
Question 2
For reading, children were handed over inspirational stories as a part of their reading curriculum,
in simple and easily understandable English where the literature was divided into parts to make it
more intriguing. While reading out the passage loud, teacher talked about meanings of various
lines and made students write those immediately in their note books.

For social studies and art, pictures were used to make students understand the topics better. They
were integrated in the curriculum. I would have introduced audio- visual social science and art
teaching contents among the students.

For children with exceptionalities, extra time was given so that they would be able to cope with
the pace of the studies. For children with dyslexia, we compiled audio books as an alternative to
reading.
