Neurological development
Neurological development refers to the process of development of the nervous system. The
nervous system starts developing in the body of an infant after its birth. When a baby is born its
nervous system is not developed in the proper manner. Its nerves are not formed completely to
work as per the conditions of the environment. Early childhood is a very critical period for the
development of a brain in the infant body. In the first two years of birth, the brain increases its
size about three times. There are three stages of the process of neurological development. All of
these stages play a crucial role in the development of the brain of a child (Hazlett et. al., 2017).
With the help of neurological development, the child is able to feel sense and react as per the
change in environment.
The early life functions of an infant can have a lasting impact on its behaviour and personality.
Till 5 years of age, the brain of a baby develops and learns new things. It is the most crucial time
for the development of the brain. The positive and negative attitude of a child depends upon the
