The indoor activity which the 5 year old child will be taking part would be hide-and-seek.
It is a fun activity in which the children hide and one of them seeks others. The child that
remains at the end is the winner of the competition. According to the given activity the child will
be able to develop physical awareness among themselves while staying at indoors. It is
considered to be a very effective way in which children gain the knowledge of all the places in
indoor. For this activity a demonstration would be given to the children on how to approach this
activity (Felfe and Lalive, 2018). This demonstration would provide the steps which are essential
for its development. In planning of this hide-and-seek gathering of the resources such as children
and a safe indoor environment will also be very important.

The implementation of activity in indoor space of hide-and-seek will require the taking of
responsibility indoor premises. In there implementation the requirements hide-and-seek are
needed to be met by gathering of children in one place. It can be said that the for this indoor
activity a conformable indoor place is needed for the children to do enjoy the activity
comfortably. There needs to be safe areas in which the children can hide themselves and all the
hazardous areas needs to be taken care of. The indoor premises are needed to be clean before it
can be used by children. It is very important to focus on the making this experiences fun for the
children, so they need to provide efficiency in the development.

An outdoor space activity which needs to be planned for the 5 year old children is would
be to develop a garden by planting flower plants. This is a very slightly difficult activity for the
students as it will have physical exercise when the children will dig a small hole. However, with
the help of proper guidance they can be able to successfully implement this strategy. In this
exercise there will be requirement of gloves for the children sot that they can avoid the dirt as
that will be present in the soil. The expert would need to give the children small harmless plant
for the plantation. This activity will be very effective for the children as it will teach them how
important plantation of plants is for the world (Cornelissen and et.al.,, 2018). Before the
beginning of this outdoor activity it will be important for the teacher to provide the 5 years old
the information about the importance of planting trees.

I have noticed that the children which were taking part in the indoor activity of hide-and-
seek in which they were enjoying themselves. This is because it is a very fun and adventurous
activity that can help the children develop their physical presence. However, there were some
children which were not able to find proper areas for hiding due to their lack of experience with
the activity. I have been able to understand the importance of this activity which was regarding
the development of physical strength that was considered to be effective improving the health in
these children. I was also able to understand that some students which had lack of exposure to
hide-and-seek which can be related to the development of physical health. Hence, the
effectiveness of this indoor activity was to towards the improvement of the core motor skills.
2.3b
For the outdoor activity which is planting small plants I was intrigued to see that the level
of efforts the children were giving in this practice. It was a fun activity in which I needed to
teach the children about the importance of this activity to the environment. Some children were
able to understand its importance (Szebehely, 2018). However, there were others which did not
understand the concept, but still were participating in the activity for being effective in the
growth of the learning opportunities. The children found it amazing as they were competitive
with each other on who is able to plant the best out of all of them. It was the aspect in which they
started to enjoy as a result of which this physical exercise lead to a fun experience. This activity
involved In order to resolve this issue the gloves were the best equipment for this activity.
Understanding the importance of the health and safety of the children was very important for me
to be effective in supporting the healthy lifestyle of these 5 year old.

For the indoor activities the children which are facing issues in their activity of hide-and-
seek the institution needs to have the proper place for them to participate. It is very helpful for
the children which are very young to be given demonstration of the ways in which they can hide.
Specially these children are to be given social care for any indoor activity which would take
place in the indoor system. In the outdoor activity the institution need to provide ways of making
proper recommendations. The children will be able to take advantages of the outdoor swings,
slides and other playful activities included. Development of a safe playground will be very
effective for the physical growth of the children.

The children's observation is very effective in explaining their health condition. For
example if it has been noticed that the children is crying it can be due to different reasons like,
pain, hunger or may be due to any emotional trouble. Some traditional ways of knowing about
their health is by observing their temperature, the amount of water they have had and also wither
or not they have eaten. There are other basic and common observations of the children behaviour
which can be significant loss of weight that signifies that they are not getting proper diet. Having
sleep disorder is the sign of something bothering them in their bed. Suffering from mild fever
can also be a result of infection in the children. Other issues like rashes on the skin and infection
can be the reason of them being allergic to certain substances. There are children which develop
sore throat which is also condition of some kind of infections. Extreme observations like
problems in breathing or fainting can be due to some kind of serious medical conditions.

For a chronical health condition such as the children who are handicapped for them the
responsibilities of the individual taking care of them increases extremely. It can be said that these
individual needs to make sure that the children are not affected due to the discrimination. For
ensuring this the individual need to make sure that they are surrounded in friendly environment
which does not affect their mental health. It is important for the individual to develop activities
which they can participate in towards the development of their mental conditions. It is also very
essential for the individual to make sure that the these children are gaining the effective diet
which is very important for their growth opportunities that is effective for the nature of the
children. Making the such children believe that they are special is also a way in which they can
be taught about health condition which is chronic in nature.

For an institution there are measures that it can take towards the practices of how the
children can be made responsible for the activities which can help them to develop effective in
their operations to help these chronically suffering young patients. For children which are
handicapped there are measures which an institution can take such as providing the feature of
wheel chair, specially care taking rooms, introduction of ramp for them to avoid the stairs. It can
be said that these institutions often seen to have experts which can take care of these children.
With the help of some activities for these children to enjoy the institution can avoid the

circumstances of any sorts of discrimination with these children. Development of a positive
culture in the institution is also very beneficial.

tension between the staff it can impact the health services provided. For example the tension can

staff. It is important for individual to report the issues regarding the staff member tension. Thus,
the focus of the staff members needs to be one the reporting to the management.

The stages of child development includes the following,
Newborn :
This is the stage in which the child have just born, at this stage they are needed to be
taken care of completely as they are unable to walk or speak. This is the time when they require
complete care which includes proper medical attention (Children's Health, 2019). Consultation
with health experts is very important for this stage as they are vulnerable to many diseases. New
born are not able to differentiate between individuals which impacts their development and
learning.
Infant :

In this stage of child development they are at the age of 3 to 12 months. This is the stage
the children starts developing responses as they crawl at the early stage and try to speak in the
process. However, this stage also requires almost similar types of health care which is helpful.
They are not able to speak because and thus their development is hampered.
Toddler :
A toddler is the child which is at the age of 1 to 3 years. This is the age when to start
walking and running. They also learn to speak in the process it is the stage when the children are
quick learners, so they need to be taught about the practices which can help their growth. Due to
the lack of understanding they are not able to understand the correct practices.
Preschool Age :
It is the stage in which the children are ready to start visiting schools as they are start
learning from their experiences of the world. It is essential for the individual to take care of these
children as they still don't understand difference between safe and unsafe practices. It can be said
that preschool stage the children are able to understand but the make mistakes in the details.
School Age :
It is the last stage to their development of the as it ranges from 4 to 5 years old and their

aspect of their learning.

understand that in this stage they are learning to walk and are very active in nature. Thus, making

understand and identify the behaviour of these children to understand the areas of their
development. This is also the stage in which they develop relationships with the learners.

The working collaboratively is very essential in the educational setting for the growth and
development of the child. This is because of the reason that in case the working will not be taken

in proper manner then this will affect the learning capability of child. For example, the staff
handling the child suffering from disability goes somewhere giving the responsibility to other
staff (Trodd and Dickerson, 2019). But the staff forget to share the medical time of the child and
because of this the health of child started affecting. Thus, with this incident it is clear that there
must be proper communication among all the staff member so that there is not any issue. Also,
when the staff will be working in proper coordination and collaboration then this will be
improving the working efficiency of the education setting. The reason pertaining to the fact is
that in case the working of the staff member of educational setting will not be good then there
might be case of miscommunication and this might affect the working efficiency of the business.
For example, child requires the movement from nursery to preschool then this need to be
communicated to the parents. From the practitioner's end it is necessary to communicate all the
correct and actual information of the child. Even in case the child is not having good knowledge
then also it needs to be communicated with other practitioners and the parents. For instance, the
intellectual condition of child is not communicated with the parents then they will not be able to
decide that whether their child is learning well or not.

The working with others supports the children emergent literacy from birth to 7 years.
This is very important for the effective working and learning of the children. The first supporter
of the child is the parent’s and this is because of the reason that they are the one who are most
interested in development of their child. Further parents support the child development and the
emergent literacy to a great extent. This is particularly due to the fact that the parents are the one
who care for the child the most. In cases working with parents will not be good then the
development of the child will not take place in proper manner. For example in case the teachers
not communicating with the parent’s then child will not be learning in proper and effective
manner. Hence in case the teacher will be communicating each and every detail of child to the
parents then the child will learn in better and effective manner which will result in development
of child and their emergent literacy.

Planning for the individual child- it is necessary for the proper planning for the individual
child and this is because of the reason that in case the individual practitioner. In case of the
individual child the planning for their development and growth. This is necessary for the reason
that in case the child is satisfied then this will improve their capability and efficiency
(Miklikowska, Thijs and Hjerm, 2019). While planning for individual child development the
most crucial thing to be considered is to have the updated records of the child so that all the
information is present with the person. In addition to this another thing necessary to be taken
care is the linking of observation with the interest of child.
Planning for session- while planning for session the most essential aspect to the
considered is that space which is available and the resources which are essential for providing

proper knowledge. Along with this another necessary requirement is to take care of the interest

Creating a better environment for improving mathematical development is essential for
children from birth to 7 years. This is pertaining to the fact is that use of mathematics is very
important and this is because it comes within the areas of EYFS that is Early Year Foundation
Stages. The early years practitioner promotes mathematics through daily activities. These daily
activities involve giving Play-Dough maths to children for shaping into numbers. These activities
are also involved teaching making different shapes using tubes. Along with this the different
activity which can be involved using the mathematics learning is is involving number counting
and many other different games like Lego and others. Hence, for a 5-year child it is necessary
that there is basic knowledge of mathematics so that they can grow and develop in better manner.
In the current education setting, the teaching relating to mathematics is being promoted and used
in better and effective manner. There are different methods through which knowledge relating to
mathematics can be increased. The first game which educational setting can use is counting
sticks (Dejarnette, 2018). Within this game the different popsicle sticks will be provided to the
children along with glitter glue and market. Each stick will be having a number written on it and
children will have to place the dot with glitter tube for the number written. For example, there is
4 written on the stick then children will have to make 4 dots with the glitter glue. Another
activity which the educational setting can use is the nature counting. Within this activity,
educational setting will take the children out like in garden and there they will be tasked to count
different things. For example, student might be asked to count four stones or count the number of
flowers in garden. Thus, these different activities will be promoting good knowledge relating to
mathematics and this will improve their working efficiency.

knowledge relating to the subject and try to grow and develop. The use of scaffold learning

includes different types of techniques for providing extra support to child so that they can
develop in better and effective manner. Scaffolding involves techniques like asking question,
using reading strategies, bolster collaboration and many other different techniques. This assist in
developing knowledge of mathematics and developing it within children. Along with this, the
theory of Vygotsky must also be considered while imparting knowledge relating to the
mathematical subject. This theory states that social interaction is very important and central to
learning. this theory emphasised on the concept of instructional scaffolding. This instructional
scaffolding allows the learner to link the connection of the learning with the social interaction.
