The age group which has been chosen is 2-3 years age of children.
This age group children are very sensitive because it is the growing
age. So it is very important that teacher should provide knowledge to
children so that their focus should be on children's foundation. As
this is the foundation age (Caldwell, Renner and Atkinson, 2018).
The syllabus or school curriculum has influenced design of learning
experiences. As every teacher have its own way of teaching but
school syllabus impacts its way of teaching. As teachers have to
adjust its way of teaching as per school curriculum. every year or in
every two years school revised their syllabus which means that after
properly understanding that what syllabus is demanding teachers
have to mould its teaching accordingly. School rules and regulations
also affects learning experience. Schools of toddlers have strict rules
and regulations. So teacher cannot be harsh with students.
If you are teaching babies or toddlers then it is very important to
have patience because children of age group 2-3 years generally do
not understand thing easily. in order to attract toddlers towards
education teachers can use various different resources like toys
which includes clay, block etc. especially with this generation
teachers are using toys to teach small students as it make learning
interesting and easy. children are more attracted towards fun learning
which means learning with the help of toys and games. Every
individual has different attitudes. Teacher cannot deal with every
student in same way. They have to change their behaviour with every
student. As there are some children who do not understand
everything easily so for that teacher have to slow its learning
process. Some children are sharp and teachers does not have to focus
much on those children.

Mathematical learning-
To give proper understanding to children regarding shapes, sizes,
identifying, matching, picking odd one out, colouring etc. these all
are basic knowledge which babies of age group 2-3 must have (Ellis,
2018). teacher should make lessons in which they teach them
different shapes and helps them to identify colours.
Literacy learning-
Children should build listening capabilities and must have develop
speech. toddlers should be able to recognise sounds. teachers can
play videos or anything through which children can listen and
recognise what is actually happening. teachers often uses stories and
poems to enhance understanding of babies. as stories are one of the
most interesting learning method.

Mathematical teaching proposal-
1. teacher can keep various shapes which includes circles,
square etc and everything should be two and children should
have asked to pick similar shape. so that through this way
children will learn matching concept. this will also enhance
identification skills of students. in order to match shapes first
they have to identify them.

2. in order to teach colours teacher can show different fruits and
vegetable to babies and teach them about different colours. to
make babies to identify colours easily. when an object of that
particular colour it shown to them then it becomes easy for
toddlers to remember the name of that colour.
3. to teach numbers teacher can use charts where they draw
colourful number so that toddlers can identify number.
teacher can also use tracing worksheet and help children to
trace numbers. this way children will learn to read and write
numbers.
4. in order to teach counting. teachers can organise activity in
which they should keep various objects and ask children to
counts their numbers. it is the fun activity and it will also
improve learning of children. this way children will recall
counting which is taught by their teachers.
Literacy teaching proposal-
1. for teaching rhymes to children teachers are using projector
and internet. they used to play rhymes on screen so that
children can visualise it. this improve its learning experience.
when children will learn through visualizing then learning
takes place fast and effective (Mahan and et.al., 2021).
2. teacher can also take their students outside in a park or
garden. this will make children happy when they see that they
are in park. as in park children can play with their friends.
teacher can also tell different stories and can make children

understand about nature. it is proved that learning process
improved when it is held at open area like garden or parks.

3. teacher can also provide various props to toddlers and can ask
to act by reciting rhymes. this will make learning process
more interesting. it will also become easy for children to
memorize rhymes if they will given props.
4. teacher can organise fun activity in which they can use
images to teach English alphabets to them. this way children
will easily recognise words. to teach toddlers is not an easy
task so that is why teachers has to organise different
interesting or fun activities so that they can attract children.

modelling strategy which means that children will be going to show
different shapes and they have to identify which shape it is.
sometime colourful shapes will going to use to that children can
identify colours also. demonstration strategy, in this strategy children
will be taught using videos so that they can learn by visualising. this
strategy will also make easy for teacher to give knowledge to them.
teaching strategies will also include teaching with games because
games are fun activities which relaxes mood and is also effective
learning strategy as compared to traditional learning when teacher
only uses board and chalk to teach students (Armstrong, Rivall and
Monk, 2018). using charts and pictures is also interesting way of
learning. when teaching toddlers it is important that everything
should be colourful because it make learning process more
interesting and easy.

Victorian early years framework is for toddlers. it is very important
that children should get support by their teachers and families in
early years. as it is the foundation stage. so proper knowledge and
understanding will help them in the future. to enhance their
identification skills, modelling learning strategy will be used in
which children will be showed various models or shapes so that they
can easily identify them. in order to connect children with world.
teachers take children to parks and garden. teacher explain
importance of environment to children. to teach wellbeing to
children they are taught to build sharing and caring habit. that is why
teachers and parents always ask their children to share toys with their
friends. basic manners have to build since childhood only (Noble,
Jackson and Mitchell, 2020). so that is why teachers are teach
children about etiquettes and manners. teachers in the school also
organises various activities for children which includes poem and
many other competitions. when children participate in such activities
then it improvises their communication skills and it is also helpful in
removing their stage fear. one of the practice principle which is
learning and development. teachers influence children in their
learning and development. to improve learning teachers uses shapes,
models, charts etc. as nowadays learning is not limited to boards and
markers. teachers are giving practical learning experience so that
children can enjoy learning and does not take learning as a burden.
teachers also help children in their development or developing their
personality. it is very important that children should get better
grooming from their early childhood only.
