People management refers to process of motivating, directing and training to utilization
human resources to increase the optimization in workplace. To ensure proper efficiency in
organization, it require effective leaders such as team leads, mangers and department head that
oversee the work progress and boost the confidence and growth of employee in company
(Ahmed and et.al., 2018). In this report the company is Easy jet has taken which is British
multinational airline group and deals in low- cost airline group headquartered at London Luton
Airport and operates in domestic and international services over 1000 routes in around 30
countries. In this we discussed about contemporary issues face in managing people and required
knowledge and skills to be in effective leader. Apart from that two HR process when it needs in
effective performance in management that are Performance management review and 360 degree
appraisal these are important theories which used in every organisation and its how effectively it
can use is being studied.

Contemporary issues in faces in managing people
To manage the people in organisation Human resource manger and other superior is
taking care of their employees and concern with maintaining proper relations with all employees
(Averina, Avdeeva and Perevalova, 2018). HR is doing its best to control and ensure effective
progress in workers and during this time they also confront with some issues and how they deal
with this effectively. Two theories are there in which it reflect the way the face certain problems-
ï‚· Employee Relations- This is important factor that every organisation need to maintain
good relation and hold them in company for so long that will give them long term
success in firm. In order to sustain the bonding with some issues are there conflict
management and keeping adequately safety in workplace, annually time payment, wages
issues and many more. Like in Easy Jet company, there are large number of employees
that need to be monitor and regulate as per the standard and ensure optimization of their
performance in their work. To manage the conflict with many employee superior play
important role in controlling their issues and need to resolve them, so there is no
hindrances occur in organisation. Timely payment of their wages and salary might also
create issues, so to avoid that company can adopt effective policies and leave

discrimination in their workplace. In Easy Jet, employees were treated equally and deals
in variety of workforce in their organisation and they were seriously concern about
working condition and aims to create creative environment in their firms. As they need
to deal with many costumer in their airline, so they focuses on producing high quality of
skills and knowledge in employee rather than seeing their culture, religion and gender.
This issues need to be resolve in any organisation so that any personnel can get into any
companies and give their best output. This practices do exist in some countries where
they do not allow employee from another nations and prefer to hire native one. This is
sensitive issue that really required proper policies and strict actions towards this and
ensure employee dignity and respect. Some big organisation is very strict and serious
towards this issues and has formulated certain rues and policies in order to save them
from all this practices.

core quality in the leader of the company and they also focus this to be developed in their
staff member as they required to deal and interact with costumer from different regions
and culture. They are essential qualities that they focus on developing in their all
employees and for that they give extensive training and different development
programmes. They ensure that every employee in their airline has excellent
communication skills as this helps in building better and long term relationship with
costumer and increase overall productivity and profit in company as well.

functioning and solve internal issues in team, that include some problems like
misunderstanding, conflict among employees and distrust (Starr-Glass, 2019). This skills

task for any leader and having this quality is must in every supervisor. In easy jet this
quality is important as controlling whole management and building effective team in

only all big companies achieve their goals and objective.

role and responsibility to everyone as per their skill set and knowledge they have in
particular area. Making output best out their efforts is the work of leader and HR, they
are providing training and education to them as need. To review their performance is
necessary, so that they can improve it and for that they conduct quarterly performance
development planning and discuss with them about on-going situation in their work
environment. In easy jet, HR manager is also considering all this activities to ensure
effective performance in their organisation. They conduct time to time meeting and
review session with their staff and preparing and implementing performance
development training programmes. This is important process that every HR and manger
take seriously as they are also accountable to top management as well.
