EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
In this report, all the value of the proposition was discussed. On the other hand, the eBay
company was selected for this project. San Jose is the founder of the eBay company and this is
one of the most famous e-commerce company (Äyväri, & Jyrämä, 2017). This report has
highlighted some of the important characteristics of the eBay company. Some of the innovative
tools and techniques are used to support the finding and recommendation of the report (Äyväri,
& Jyrämä, 2017).
In the task, one self-analysis about the assignment was done and it includes some reflection on
the improvement of the personal innovation capabilities and practices (Äyväri, & Jyrämä, 2017).
On the other hand with the help of this report self-strength and weakness will also identify. In
this assignment, 8 tools and techniques are used to invent innovation in the organization (Äyväri,
& Jyrämä, 2017). So the company use a different type of techniques and tool in their
organization so that they will easily solve all the problems and satisfy the need and wants of the
customer (Gassmann et al., 2016). By using the value proposition canvas model in the
assignment eBay company will easily identify the customer profile and value map of the
organization. At the end of this project, some conclusion was found and some recommendation

INTRODUCTION
The traditional way of life will be affected by the explosion of internet connectivity from the
time when 90. At the global scale, the business was conducted from localised shop to internet
platform (Gassmann et al., 2016). On the other hand, the growth of e-commerce is very fast as
compare to other business. Various platforms are available in the market. E-bay is one of the
most prominent e-commerce players in the market as per the latest analyses (Jeong et al., 2016).
This is one of the most famous online marketing platforms all over the world which came in
1995. Pierce M. has established eBay company (Jeong et al., 2016).
This is also known as an E-business platform that will give some of the opportunity and
suggestions in a different type of stock and some product which will be import and export in the
internet environment (Jeong et al., 2016).In the last few years, eBay is one of the largest online
sites all over the world. They try to protect their appropriate users; they will take more initiative
action to catch the attackers to break into a different type of users account (Jeong et al., 2016). E
bay company improves some of the methods for blocking the hateful bots that were used to break
into users account (Laverne et al., 2015).
In this assignment, the value proposition canvas was used which is most important for any
organization. eBay Company was highly impacted by using digital technology in their business
(Laverne et al., 2015). Now a day’s most of the customers are using digital technology for online
shopping. The companies have to face many problems like extreme competition, some negative
feedback, fraudulent buyers and many more (Laverne et al., 2015).

VALUE PROPOSITION CANVAS
With the help of Value Proposition Canvas, the organization will easily confirm that a product
and services are located around what the need and want of the customer. This is one of the most
important tools for every organization in the market (Laverne et al., 2015). Alexander
Osterwalder takes initiative to develop the Value Proposition Canvas.
Customer segments and value propositions are the main two-part of Osterwalder’s broader
Business Model Canvas (Maloney et al., 2016). On the other hand, this was made around two
building blocks that are a profile of the customer and the other one is the company's value
proposition.
CUSTOMER PROFILE
GAIN
This is one of the benefits which the customer wants and they are expected from the company.
eBay tries to satisfy its customer with the help of value scheme (Maloney et al., 2016). On the
other hand, this will also increase the likelihood of accepting a value scheme.
PAIN
This is the negative experience, some emotions and risks that most of the customers take
experiences while getting the job done (Maloney et al., 2016). In eBay, most of the customer
experience was bad so the company try to improve or solve all the problems and satisfy their
needs.
CUSTOMER JOB
Most of the customers are trying to perform a different type of task in the organization like
functional, social and emotional tasks (Maloney et al., 2016). On the other hand, they try to solve
all the problems of the customer and try to satisfy there need and wants by providing them with a
good quality of product and services.

GAIN CREATORS
In this, the eBay try to analyse that how some of the product and services will generate some
customer gain and with the help of whom they will give some of the offers added value to the
customers (Mezzanotti, & Simcoe, 2019).
PAIN RELIEVERS
An explanation of accurately how the product or service improves customer pains. They will try
to solve all the problems with the help of using a different type of strategy in their organization.
They provide much different type of services to their customer (Mezzanotti, & Simcoe, 2019).
This wills also decrease pain relievers.
PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
In this, the company tries to create gain and relieve pain with the help of product and services
and on the other hand, this will also reinforce the formation of value for the customer
(Mezzanotti, & Simcoe, 2019).

There are different types of tools and techniques are used by the organization while doing some
innovation in their organization (Osterwalder et al., 2015). Some tools are separated into two
parts that are Divergence tools which will focus on the idea generation and the second one is
Convergence tools that will help to analyze, filter and combine the idea to select the best one
(Osterwalder et al., 2015).
DIVERGENT TOOLS
In this tool, the organizations try to generate more idea is given some limited time. Here are
some of the basic rules that will not criticize or huge by some latest idea because this will omit
any ideation (Osterwalder et al., 2015). Most of the innovators try to make as many as
possibilities and they try to combine while convergence process.
CONVERGENCE TOOLS
During the divergence process, the convergences thinking tool generated for the clear purpose
and that will help to make, filter or select all the latest idea generation in there organization
(Otto, 2017). This tool is required for various mindsets so this tool is used for a different
purpose. They try to implement this tool in their organization so that they will increase the
revenue of the organization with some given limited period (Otto, 2017). Most of the people are
thinking that this is not the most creative tool for the organization but, this is a very important
tool for every organization (Otto, 2017). Though this the idea will also filter, leaving apart those
not worthy enough and they try to concentrate on the best one.
JOB TO BE DONE
The organizations have to find out the need of the customer with the help of using the different
type of strategy (Otto, 2017). With the help of this tool, some inventions move outside the
simply refining present solution. When the e bay start think in term of the job to be done then
they will gain the latest insight and ideas on innovation way to meet the need of your customer

In this, some of the specific jobs are done by the organization. The organization don’t know what
outcomes will come which are undesired like some damage or anything else (Pokorná et al.,
2015). When a company gives more desire and less what they want then they provide some of
the solutions that will generate more value and satisfaction (Pokorná et al., 2015).
SCAMPER
This is the most important tool which is used after the idea was generated. With the help of this,
some problems are solved. Substitutes, Combine, Adapt, Modify, Put to other purposes,
Eliminate, Rearrange are the acronym of the SCAMPER (Ueffing, 2018).
RANDOM STIMULUS
With the help of using the Random Stimulus tools in the organization most of the people move
out of their current zone (Ueffing, 2018). With the help of using the different type of steps, the
organization will easily random stimulus.
SIX THINKING MODES
With the help of using this tool, various points of view are analyzed so that the team will choose
the best idea (Ueffing, 2018). Most of the time the six thinking model tool is used for the
controversial ideas because with the help of this some of the pros and cons are identify (Ueffing,
2018).
BRAIN WRITING
In this, every individual has only five minutes to write some ideas in the written format. With
the help of this exercise will confirm the group that does’ not allowed to hold them back.at the
end of the work, the organization will get around 108 latest ideas (Ueffing, 2018).

REFLECTION
This report was successfully executed to identify the need and wants of the customer from the
eBay company. With the help of my senior manager, I was able to complete my assignment. On
the other side, they also help me to found the relevant outcomes of the project.
In this assignment, this was also found that with the help of using the Value Proposition Canvas
the organization will easily confirm that a product and services are located around what the need
and want of the customer. This is one of the most important tools for every organization in the
market. Alexander Osterwalder takes initiative to develop the Value Proposition Canvas. With
the help of using many different strategies in the organization, I was able to solve all the
problems in the organization. I was also tried to satisfy the need and wants of the customer. I was
taken my time to improve my strategy on time.
I was also able to improve my leadership quality so that more and more employee will listen to
what I want in the organization. The best thing in this project was I was able to complete my
work on time with the help of my manager and my team members. During the assignment, I was
able to communicate with my support staff and I improve my assignment writing skill by using
effective tools and techniques.
During the assignment, I face much different type of difficulties in assignment planning,
strategic thinking and analytical part of the project. I don’t know more about the tools and
techniques which are used in this assignment. Also, I was unable to plan how I will make my
business more effectively.
