Exploring EBP Quality Improvement in Doctors Clinic Houston

The project utilizes the PET (Practical questions, Evidence, Translation) model to identify and resolve the issue. In order to identify practical problem which is infection. EBP QI project for
resolving this issue in Doctors Clinic Houston healthcare setting, PET model has been
selected.

Proposed practice problem
 Problem proposed in Doctors Clinic Houston healthcare setting is of infection.
 For resolving this problem Evidence based practice quality improvement project would
be initiated.
 For resolving this problem implementation of training practice to nurses and healthcare
practitioners can help in resolving this issue in an appropriate manner.
 This provision of training to staff members involved in providing patient care can be
used as a tool by healthcare settings for bringing improvement within care of patients in
order to reduce chances of infection.

 P: Plan- approval of initiating EBP QI project will be taken from stakeholders. It is
important to initiate the evidence- based project.
 D: Do- At this stage initiative is take for implementation of project i.e., training
provision
 C: Check- checking of initiative is done in order to ensure that appropriate and accurate
initiative is taken.
 A: Action- Lastly final actions are taken and implemented for resolving identified
problem.
