INTRODUCTION
The report is mainly focused on the learning of mathematics in educational setting. It will
discuss about the specific need of mathematics and notice that children’s are using. The
documentation will describe about the various resources to provide opportunities and experience
for children to explore the maths that have identified. Furthermore, the report will describe that
how it will use to talk to the children about mathematics.
TASK
Identify the mathematics and what mathematics do you notice the children are using.
A math’s is based on the concept that provide an idea about the working behind answer. It
is one of most common subject that relates to their daily life. In this way, it will be understanding
the basic concept of maths because it helps for creating a logical connection between facts and
figures. Therefore, children’s are using logical concept and also relates to their regular
experience. In order to identify the connection when it encounter something new, which close to
the mathematics (BAHAR and AKSÜT, 2020). It became easier to understand the basic
principles which mainly given piece of mathematics that make everything work. Children’s help
to better understand math by presenting multiple figures.-
Image 2.1 shows that kids use cardboard boxes to build a building. This kind of activity
develops cognitive skills of kids and enhances their mathematical skills as it is beneficial for
them to understand the counting and developing their concentration skills. This kind of indoor
activity is very helpful in encouraging preschool; students and developing their mathematical
capabilities. Kid’s uses cardboards and they ensure to use accurate boxes so that building can be
stayed.
Image 2.5 reflects that projector is used and kids were instructed to use triangles. Kids
were supposed to use different angels to give particular shape to objects. This is another great
activity for preschool students. As this develops concentration while making an objective and
they learn correct use of triangles.
For Example- encouraging and collaboration through alternative solution. In this way, it
can easily clear agenda and effective summary. The primary goal of mathematic is to analyse

instruction which help for purpose of understanding through materials (Wood-Nuttall, Edwards
and Grieshaber, 2019). In order to apply skills, recalling the concept in future. In this way,
children’s are using maths formula and procedure to prepare for assessment.
For Example- There are different representation that could include picture, drawing out the
problem and also offering as symbolic representation (Gasteiger and Benz, 2018). Therefore,
they can easily solve the mathematical problem in proper manner.
Mathematical knowledge mainly including facts, concept, relationship and procedures. In
particularly, mathematical knowledge has been produced the nature, norms and proper standards
which help for purpose of identification (Wood-Nuttall, Edwards and Grieshaber, 2019). It
clearly explaining the concept through observation which mainly deals with philosophical
question.
Some children make it their life’s work to think about the concept. Children’s will
understand the concept of position, direction, and space. It always used for understanding the
meaning of particular sign. Therefore, it is increasingly sophisticated strategies based on the
specific properties to resolve the problem effectively and efficiently (Hallahan, Pullen and Badar,
2020).
In additional, mathematical skill is that when student learning new thing through basic
sense which easily recognised the meaning of space, direction by using symbol. In this way, it
help for children’s to relate in their regular activities. It is mainly indicating the greater value that
commonly begin with learning symbols. In this way, children develop a strong understanding
towards the various logical symbol which provide better idea about mathematical logical
concepts.
Demonstrate that how would use resources to provide opportunities and experience for children
to explore the mathematics you have identified.
Math is a term that plays important role in the learning for children in early stage because
it provide greater opportunities to enhance their own skill and knowledge. It is helping for
children to resolve problem, measure and also develop their own spatial awareness.
In this way, children’s are putting some efforts to improve understanding towards the
concept of mathematics (Huggins and Wickett, 2017). As per notice, it has been identified that
children become intensely engaged with their playing activities and pursuing their own interest

as well as learning experience. In this way, Children will be explored their experience and
opportunities to handle or tackle problem in proper manner.
Children’s are using the different resources such as Puzzle game. For Example- Puzzling is
a type of game for children’s which provide better experience to do something new task whereas
they will try to learn with their experience. In this way, children can lead to power of learning
and grasp with similar problem (Wood-Nuttall, Edwards and Grieshaber, 2019). It often come up
with multiple approaches, strategies and also consider the aspects of learning. Therefore, it is
promoting the learning through mathematics and improve thinking process towards problem
solving.
In 2.5 image projector was used at home and children had to use different triangles to
make particular shape. This is great activity and has given opportunity to preschool kids to find
out best solution to each issue when they make any shape. Kids experienced use of triangle and
why each triangle is use in different manner. Image 2.2 is all about use of cardboards to build a
building. If counting is not correct then a suitable building cannot be formed hence this activity
has given opportunity to kids to develop their knowledge and be more efficient in counting and
calculations.
Afterwards, it can be analysed that thing happen when it will be executing the plan. On
regular basis, it will be performed the different action. it has been noticed that children explore
shapes, sizes, counting things and pattern. So that it must be included in action plan to consider
as resource which provide the better opportunities to enhance their own ability.
The plan must be focused on the resources which provided to the Children’s such as shapes
and compare pictures. It helps for improving the comparing and problem-solving capabilities
(Keitany, Moses and Kiprop, 2020). As per analysed that children shown interest towards the
mathematics and adaption everyday experience. In additional, it elaborated on the different ideas,
thoughts. In order to recognise the need and requirement of children during learning. On the
other hand, it require to utilise learning centre to provide the opportunities for children to connect
with more prior knowledge.
Another resource consider such as painting, drawing in art centre whereas children can
identify the space, structure that are bigger, smaller. There are various type of material that
support mathematical learning such as number card for purpose of recognition, connecting cubes
for counting and also consider non-standard measurement (Sotiropoulou, Zormpala and Mouriki,

2019). In this way, children can easily identify the weigh and compare with other objects. The
number puzzle and giant hopscotch games are considered the best interesting for children so that
it is the best resource for opportunities in the mathematical learning.
Understand that what you would use to talk to children about mathematics you have identified.
Initially, it have been made an effective plan to communicate with children regarding the
mathematics. In this way, it will require the proper language which directly relates to the
mathematics so that they can learn something new. It became use informal language that might
be used during learning (Sotiropoulou, Zormpala and Mouriki, 2019). At early stage, children
doesn’t understand the logical concept so as needed to talk in formal way to represent the shapes,
figures, symbols. Therefore, children can easily relates to their own experience and build own
capabilities. On the other hand, it also used the suitable questions, mathematical vocabulary
words, and comment within plan. In order to provide the better accurate information about
mathematics so that children understand the concept. it is clarifying the terms and show them in
correct manner. (Sullivan, Gervasoni and Phillipson, 2017).
It also used the written symbol, notation which generally represent the current situation or
condition. In most of cases, children’s are showing interest in large building, pattern so that it
provide information about particular shape. Mathematical learning in two dimensional instead of
scanning along with straight line so as it become easier for children to develop understanding in
both vertically as well as horizontally.
For Example- chart, table depend on what how to design row or column (Sotiropoulou,
Zormpala and Mouriki, 2019). It might be pointing on graph that identified position. In this way,
it is consider as mathematical language to interpret data whereas children will be improving their
learning patterns. In this way, it can be used the mathematical words such as horizontal and
vertical. On the other hand, the language has been increased the problem for children in term of
understanding. It can be included the word name of figure such as circle, square. Through this
words, it can easily communicate to the children’s in mathematical term (Wood-Nuttall, Edwards
and Grieshaber, 2019).
CONCLUSION
From above discussion, it concluded that mathematics learning consider as opportunities for
children to improve their own ability and capability. It must be adapted as a mathematics in
educational setting. It can be identified that children use math for purpose of learning,

demonstrate with different resources which provide opportunities and experience for children to
explore the maths that have identified. Furthermore, it has summarised about the language that
mainly used during interact with children for providing the better information about
mathematical concept. In this report, it has focused on the planning to use figure out meaning
from different context, it help for enough redundant data which are typically resolve word
problem effectively and efficiently.
